With an open floor plan that includes 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this ultra-charming, modified A-frame home accommodates up to 6 of your favorite people. The comfortable living room, burning wood stove, and plush furniture amplify the cabin’s warm and cozy aesthetic. A grill and office area are added features that allow guests to have fun while also staying on top of work if needed. This light-filled home is just minutes from Downtown Truckee, which means guests have easy access to shops and restaurants. With outdoor adventure all around, you'll love this mountain modern escape!
Each home is provided with Short Term Tenant cards that allow access to Tahoe Donner amenities. Guests have access to public amenities, including the Downhill Ski Resort, Cross Country Ski Center, Snowplay area, Golf Course, Bikeworks, Equestrian Center, and on-site restaurants. Access to private amenities such as the Beach Club Marina, Trout Creek Recreation Center, Northwoods Pool, and Tennis and Pickleball Center requires a valid Short Term Tenant Card and payment of daily access fees at the time of entry. One card is required per person, per day, for guests age 3 and older.
The recently renovated Tahoe Donner Ski Lodge enhances the family-friendly ski experience with modern facilities, improved dining options, and expanded lesson programs for all ages. Known for its gentle slopes and welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect place for beginners and families to enjoy a day on the snow together.
Tahoe Donner Private Amenity Access Update (2026):
Private amenities require a valid Short Term Tenant Card and payment of daily access fees. Private amenities are not available to short-term rental guests during select peak and holiday blackout periods (public amenities remain available).

Home Truths:
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Due to extreme wildfire risk, any type of outdoor wood-burning fireplaces, fire pits, or charcoal grills are strictly prohibited. Violations will result in fines starting at $5,000 per Lake Tahoe short-term rental regulations.
- Please note that during the winter months, all outdoor furniture, including the grills, will be unavailable.
- This home does not have AC.
- Max occupancy for this home is 6.
- Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- Please note that there is a futon located in the loft for additional sleeping arrangements.

- A maximum of 3 cars can park onsite.
- No street parking allowed.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce.
