The Sandbar is a luxury Bahamian beach house located in Tar Bay. We are 8 minutes from the airport. The house is set on a dreamy 4 km private sandy beach. A picture perfect setting has been created for our guests with all the tropical entrapments of palm trees and stunning views of the legendary turquoise waters of Exuma.

A driveway entrance of carved out limestone and Coco Palms reveal an island home adorned with sky blue Bahamian shutters and a creamy white shiplap facade. A window glass door welcomes you where you can see the ocean as soon as you have arrived.

The beach house features a 4 bedroom main house, sleeping 10. Guests will find two King oceanfront bedrooms and one King with a custom Murphy Bunk Bed, all with ensuites. The fourth bedroom has King bed that can be customized to be two Twins. A pocket door provides access to a King ensuite. The beachfront cottage is spacious and offers panoramic views of the ocean. It is fitted with a King bed and ensuite. It is steps away from the main house and the beach.

The Sandbar was designed to celebrate and create long lasting memories for family and friends. The open living areas encourage socializing while providing spaces for seclusion and relaxation. The Great Room is striking with its vaulted ceilings and whitewashed rafters. An entertainers dream kitchen is the heart of the room and a 6' bar window allows guests to be engaged with the outdoor happenings as well. The custom round dining table for10 will have you sharing food and drink into the wee hours. I can hear the stories and laughter now ! There are comfy couches with a large coffee table you can put your feet on, a swivel Egg chair you can snuggle up in and read in, a games area to play chess, cards or dominoes AND an open area for dancing !. You have to have dancing ! The windows and French doors of the room stretch 32' across the oceanside to an expansive pool deck featuring a covered Alfresco dining and lounge area for 12 .The tanning ledge infinity pool is decked out with two tanning ledge loungers, while another six loungers hug the pool edges. A lower deck of white Adirondike chairs provide another area to hang out in and enjoy what I call the "The Exuma Effect"... being hypnotized by the color and sounds of the turquoise waters.
The Lower deck is just steps from the ocean where you can access the storage underneath to gather up your kayaks or paddle boards. While some are taking in the waves, others taking in the pool and 6 person hot tub, I like to head to the kitchen bar and make the gang Goombay Smashers and let the holiday begin !
