Fabulous view, walking distance from Flat Hollow Marina

Breathe in fresh air and enjoy the magnificent views overlooking Norris Lake and the Chuck Swan Wildlife area from your beautiful balcony. The house is located steps away from Flat Hollow Marina and Resort- a full-service marina and restaurant for all your boating and dining needs during your stay. Relax on the deck watching tv or taking in the view. Enjoy a meal under the covered section or in the sun. Enjoy cooking your delicious meals in the newly renovated kitchen or on the full size grill. There are two full refrigerators to store your food and beverages so you won’t have to make multiple grocery runs! The private master boasts a King sized sleep number bed with crisp, clean sheets; along with a newly renovated bathroom. The second bedroom as a king bed with new carpet. The third bedroom has a Daybed w/trundle, and is large enough for a blowup mattress or you can take advantage of our a fold out Tempur-pedic double bed. The living room has two sofas that extend to a bed equivalent to double. There are 2 full bathrooms, a completely furnished kitchen with everything needed for your stay (cookware, coffee maker, microwave, dishware, utensils, spices and basic condiments), washer/dryer, dining room with seating for 6, a back deck and a full-sized gas grill for those evening grill sessions. Norris Lake offers a variety of exciting fishing from striped bass to catfish. We have plenty of parking to accommodate you. Covered boat slips are available for rent through Flat Hollow Marina. We also have a small yard with a 6’ privacy fence…a great place for the kids or adults to play yard games or your fur babies to play.
Flat Hollow Marina offers boat rentals, life vests, ski rope & skis, tubes, kayaks, etc. The marina usually has karaoke and/or live bands on Fri & Sat nights during the summer.
Need a break from the lake for a day? A day trip to nearby Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or Cades Cove Great Smoky Mountain National Park is approximately 1.5 hours away! Cumberland Gap National Historic Park is approximately 45 minutes away with numerous hiking trails and scenic overlooks for you to enjoy.

4th of July fun stay

Perfect property for family or friends to stay at. Plenty of room and just a short walk to the marina. The owners were very hands on and communicated well with us. They are friendly and helpful and guided us to the best places on the lake for swimming and tubbing.

Lake Norris getaway

The air conditioner never really cooled the entire house, the bedrooms stayed in the high 70’s- low 80’s, wasn’t the cleanest , condoms under beds, couches were very filthy underneath, empty wrappers of garbage under beds and couches.

Great location

The location of the property was great as it was just a short walk to the marina. The porch was a wonderful retreat, too. We however, felt the property needed a good sweeping and mop job. After our 7 month old baby dropped something on the floor and it rolled under the couch, we found trash, cups, wrappers, and dust bunnies galore. We didn't realize that the floors were so dirty until we gave our 2 year old a bath, then put her in footed pj's.....Her feet were filthy. The cold air return in the kitchen had lots of dog hair sticking out of it too, which was pretty gross. With the extra amount that is charged for cleaning fees, and pets fees, I certainly expected a clean home.

Great home Close to Marina.

Very nice property and was close to Marina. The Slip in F slips was awesome to keep the boats in the water for our trip under cover. Very nice home with everything we needed for our trip. Thank you.

Perfect spot on the lake.

Very clean, had everything we needed there. We loved the covered porch and spent most of our time sitting out there. Bed are comfortable. Great communication with owner. Perfect spot for a week on the Lake....Highly recommend!!

Great summer trip

We had a wonderful time at Sundog Cottage. The place was very spacious, clean and the proximity to the marina could not be beat. We loved sitting on the front deck and taking it all in.

Great place and location!

Beautifully decorated and perfectly set up with everything you might need. We have stayed at many rentals over the years. This one was like home. Including dog treats, bowls and pickup bags for your furry friends! The owners were both so quick to communicate any needs you have. We WILL be returning.

Great vacation

Nice property, great for your dog to run around, grass was long making it hard to find the droppings. The property is convenient to the marina although up a steep hill, there are a couple of sets of stairs to the chalets and another rental that drops you off a few yards from the drive. Plenty of cooking items, pots pans, baking sheets silverware. Master bath is very cozy there is not much room between the corner of the vanity and the edge of the shower to get to the toilet, must be thin to comfortably get to the toilet, the vanity could be moved six to eight inches and it would be perfect. The property is described well and if you bring a boat there is a 33 dollar a night for a transient slip and 25 dollar trailer parking fee which is up the single lane road to the top of the hill, also they want to charge a ten dollar ramp fee but it was waived. Restaurant at Flat Hollow is good, the restaurant/dock area is very new and super nice. Furniture is nice and accommodating. This is a pet friendly unit but the only cleaning items to clean floors is a broom with out a dustpan upon arrival the floors were covered in dog hair and we had to sweep the carpet in the family room. All in all it was very enjoyable stay and accommodations were very adequate, would likely rent again.

Nice house overlooking the Marina. Very friendly people all around. Place was clean and well furnished. Boat rental @ marina with reasonable prices.Only issue was the coffee pot quit working on the 2nd morning we were there.

Loren and Rob McGuire - We bought this property because I was raised going boating with my grandfather and always enjoyed the lake. We are normal lake loving, people with a six year old son and a little black lab named Benny. We always respond quickly to your inquiries and are happy to accommodate you in any way we can. We try to keep our rates affordable too as our goal is to not inflate our guests' costs.

Although we don't have any reviews, we have had lots and lots of happy guests. We need to do a better job of encouraging our guests to leave a review.

We've made a lot of updates to the inside and we know you will enjoy the property. We keep a tv on the front deck so you can watch your favorite sports and tv shows while you enjoy the beautiful views. You can take a stroll down the hill to the lake and also to the marina where there are live bands and karaoke. Slips are available and Flat Hollow Marina is located in the heart of the action.
