Welcome to your escape from the everyday—a spacious and thoughtfully curated lakefront home nestled on the crystal-clear shores of Lake Cora, just outside Kalamazoo and conveniently located two hours from both Chicago and Detroit.

With six bedrooms and five bathrooms, this home is built to comfortably host large families, multi-generational gatherings, and groups looking to create lasting memories together. From sunrise swims to sunset s’mores by the fire pit, this property was designed to spark connection and joy.

Kids will love the playground, inflatable water slide, bouncy houses, and safe, shallow-entry baby beach perfect for hours of carefree play. Adults can relax in the hot tub, detox in the sauna, or enjoy lawn games like croquet, bocce, and bags on the sprawling waterfront lawn.

For those looking to stay active, the home includes a Peloton bike, free weights, and a rowing machine—or head outdoors for kayaking, paddleboarding, or a peaceful ride on one of the bikes available for guest use.

And for guests who love fresh food and quiet moments in nature, you’re invited to enjoy the property’s garden and orchard: pick sun-ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, and zucchini, or sample the apples, peaches, and cherries from our trees (when in season).

Inside, you’ll find an immaculate bar/game room, generous communal spaces, and everything you need to relax in style and comfort.

Amazing Home with Beautiful Sunsets

We enjoyed our stay here and wanted to stay longer! The house is comfortable and beautiful- the feel of indoor / outdoor living is great with huge sliding doors to the deck. We were saying the pictures do not do the house justice! Even better in person. This would be great for people with kids of all ages. We would definitely want to stay again! BJ was amazing and proactive checking in to see how the stay was. Easy to communicate with. 10/10 for everything.

Fantastic Property for All Ages!

Wow! What a fantastic property. We've stayed in many rentals over the years, and this one truly had everything we needed. The house was incredibly well-stocked and immaculately clean, with the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced in a rental. Our group ranged in age from 2 to 69, and there was something for everyone. The swing set was perfect for the little kids, while the older kids loved playing on the lily pad in the water. The adults had a blast playing corn hole. Renting the boat was incredibly convenient and ready for us upon arrival. We spent a lot of the week boating and swimming in the deeper water. BJ was very responsive to any needs we had, making our stay even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to go back!

Great family getaway!

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for the big family, lots of toys and activities for the kids. We can’t wait to come back for warmer weather. Host was very responsive and accommodating to our needs!

Beautiful Lake House

This lake house is lovely! It is very spatious and has everything you need for an enjoyable lake vacation. We rented the pontoon boat and spent a lot of time on the lake taking our 18-22 year old kids tubing and swimming. We enjoyed the area above the garage as well. The basketball net in the driveway was also a big hit. There is a nice sandy beach area at the house that would be great for younger children. Our family had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

This house was amazing!

The pictures do not even do it justice. This house was so tastefully done - warm and welcoming. It had absolutely EVERYTHING we needed and more. We felt like we were staying at a luxury hotel! We had a total of 12 in our family and it was perfect for us. The Grandkids especially loved the tree house - tubing and skiing. The lake was beautiful. BJ responded almost immediately to our every need and concern - it was such a pleasure dealing with him throughout the entire process. We are already considering renting this beautiful house for next year. Thank you for everything! Barb

Had a wonderful stay!

We spent a week enjoying this property with our children and grandchildren. It's a beautiful home and the lake was great. It's a spacious property. The little ones enjoyed the sand beach and the shallow water, and everyone enjoyed boat rides and tubing. A large dining table accommodated the whole group and it was so nice to have the whole group together. We were very impressed with the supplies provided. We also appreciated the upstairs and downstairs washers and dryers and the two dishwashers. We had reason to contact the owner and received a quick response and resolution to inquiries. The lake was quiet and the neighbors were so nice. Can't overstate that the house is so well stocked. BJ was very accommodating and friendly. We hated to leave and highly recommend!

What an Incredible Host!

Our family, three brothers in their 40s, wives, children (six between ages of 1-10) and our matriarch vacation somewhere in the west side of MI annually in August. This time we went to BJ’s lake house in PawPaw. The home is beautiful, large, well-appointed and the pictures don’t do it justice. BJ was very communicative (even while in Europe) and his top concern was that my family was comfortable and enjoying our week long stay at his home. We had so much fun, enjoying the beautiful lake, wide wrap around porch, expansive beautiful lawn for games and letting the kiddos run around. So much space for everyone. We appreciated the two different laundry rooms (first and second floor) as well as the bonus clubhouse space above the garage. There were so many places to congregate and have fun and plenty of space for each of our 3 families to have quiet time as well. You can’t go wrong with this home and all the extras that are not even noted in the listing (tubes, water toys, playground, bounce house, corn hole….). BJ is a great host and you’ll have a wonderful time.

Amazing home, host and ammenities

My family and I enjoyed a week stay at this property and from the moment we booked, the experience exceeded all expectations. Our host was welcoming and available, and the house & amenities were AMAZING. I'm looking forward to rebooking for next year's vacation!

Great Lake House!

This is a 5 star property... super clean, lots of amenities, well stocked, comfortable, and the host is very communicative and responsive. I would definitely recommend this lake house to others. The house has everything guests need and more. We had a fabulous week here! There are only a few things that could have made our stay better. PROS: The neighbors and other lake residents were kind and helpful. There are lots of towels and extra linens (often lacking in rentals); Plenty of toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, etc.; Everything you could possibly need for cooking; Rooms and beds are well-appointed and comfortable. The game room was a hit with the kids! We all loved the egg chairs on the deck, corn hole, the pad for playing in the water off the dock, the boat, the SeaDoo, and the large tube for pulling behind the boat! The sunsets were beautiful and appreciated by all ages. CONS: The lake is high and there are concrete blocks placed in the water to get to the dock. This was a bit precarious with two 80-year-olds in our party. We managed it, but a large step or a small ramp would be safer. The boat had plenty of kid life jackets, but only 6 adult jackets (we had 9 adults). We live 30 minutes away so I ran home to get some before I heard back from the host. I'm sure he would have offered a solution, but we had already taken the boat out twice before we even realized it. We heard from another lake resident that renters at another property were hit with (2) $500 fines within the same week for not having a spotter on board while pulling tubers. Lake Cora is patrolled and it's a $100 ticket per person for not having the proper life jackets on board. The host was apologetic and said the jackets should have been there. It didn't end up being an issue, it's just something to be aware of for future renters- make sure you have enough properly fitting life jackets and you always have a spotter on board! Finally, I take responsibility for not noticing the table in the photos... the dining table fits 10 if you have two kids on the benches. If it's only adults, you can fit 8. There were 11 of us and we wanted to sit around the table together so one person had to sit on a cooler for the first two days. When I went home, I grabbed two folding chairs. That helped, but it was still very tight. For a house that sleeps 12, it would be helpful to have extra chairs available and/or a larger table. Again, great lake house! We had a lovely week!

Relaxing getaway with the family in an awesome lake house

Beautiful lake house on a quiet spring fed freshwater lake, this vacation spot has everything to entertain adults to teens to small children. The house was well furnished and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils and pans you might need. There were even toys available for the little kids to entertain themselves. Having 2 sets of washer/dryers and 2 dishwashers helped us stay ahead of the dirty clothes and dishes. The game room above the garage offers a fun play area that is separate from the main house and allows the party to go on while the kids can sleep undisturbed. This house has it all plus beautiful Lake Cora at your doorstep. Thanks for a relaxing family vacation!

Perfect Family Gathering Lake

Great home to gather with extended family for some lakeside fun. The "party room" over the garage was great for those who wanted to stay up late and not disturb those sleeping. We had lots of good old family fun playing corn hole, pool, fishing, and more. BJ is very responsive and communication was excellent.

Family Fun at the Lake!

We booked this property for a large family vacation comprised of four different households - eight adults and two children. The house was exactly as pictured and featured a number of great amenities, including a variety of water toys, rafts, a kayak, indoor and outdoor speakers, fire pit with fire wood, a garden from which to pick a few vegetables, a game room, and more. With five dedicated bedrooms, a sixth room with a pullout couch, a separate "tree house" above the garage, and multiple outdoor gathering spaces, there was plenty of room for everyone to both be together and have their own space when desired. The lake was right outside the back door, making the perfect backdrop for meals and board games and, because the water starts shallow and gradually deepens, the perfect place for the kids to swim and play. Plenty of towels were provided and laundry on both floors made it easy to wash a load whenever the need arose. Mosquitos were vicious but only came out at night, which we addressed by having a morning campfire instead of an evening one. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed all it had to offer, including using it to fish and swim in deeper water. Be aware that getting it in and out of its shelter does take some navigating and it's helpful to have a couple helpers to dock the boat. BJ was great to work with and highly responsive both before and during the trip. There were a couple hiccups that were in line with other rental properties we've stayed at and when those came up, BJ was quick to offer solutions. Overall, the roominess, amenities, lakeside convenience, and gorgeous sunsets made this a great rental and one we'd definitely recommend!
