This magnificent estate offers a truly unparalleled experience for discerning guests who appreciate the grandeur of a bygone era.
Step into a world of opulence as you enter the meticulously restored mansion, boasting exquisite details and impeccable craftsmanship. With nine well-appointed bedrooms and six elegant bathrooms, our mansion can comfortably accommodate large groups or families, making it an ideal choice for special occasions or gatherings.
The mansion features two spacious living rooms, providing ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The richly adorned living rooms exude sophistication.
For those who appreciate fine dining, our mansion offers two distinctive dining rooms that are perfect for hosting intimate gatherings.
For those who enjoy a taste of the finer things in life, our mansion also boasts a bar, perfect for indulging in a cocktail or a glass of wine. The bar offers a refined setting for unwinding and socializing with friends and family.
Additionally, our mansion features a banquet room that can accommodate up to 100 guests, making it an ideal venue for special events for an additional fee.

This was a Girls weekend away and the mansion was amazing. We had a great time and enjoyed the pool and the vastness of the property. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Bedrooms were big and with attached bathrooms. There are few points which can be improved. The WiFi was very bad. Kitchen is very small for this size of home. One fridge and one dish washer is not enough if we plan on cooking. Dining room was small and the table has only 8 chairs. For Thanksgiving gathering we could not sit together and eat. But the location is great and Alise was a big helpIn everything. She even ordered an air fryer for us. Heating was not working in the family room so she quickly send Techs to fix it. Overall a great stay and we had fun. Thank you

This property is amazing inside. Very historic. Great rooms, spacious bedrooms elegant bathrooms and air conditioning in each bedroom controlled by its own thermostat.The grounds need mowing and some tree removal but the pool was awesome. We had so much fun on the water slide. I highly recommend this property.

Remarkable experience. This historic mansion needs some minor repairs but overall has been maintained well for its age. The inground heated pool was a wonderful asset. Sixteen ladies used this as the hub for daily bike rides on different area bike paths. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect retreat!

We loved our stay at the "Manz" and it was the perfect getaway for our team. We love the historic property and secluded location, while still being close to anything we would need. Beds were comfy and the space was just wonderful.

Women’s Retreat

This beautiful mansion was a wonderful setting for a women’s retreat. Very clean and kitchen was well stocked for cooking. So appreciated the bar area and ice maker as well!

Terrific Family Vacation

This is truly an amazing piece of property. To stay in a true mansion, and learn more about its amazing history, made for a memorable experience for us all. Even though we experienced some A/C issues early on; our host Alise couldn’t have been more helpful in promptly responding to this situation, and any other questions we had during our stay. The family had a great time, and especially enjoyed the amazing pool area.

Annual Family Vacay

All of us had an amazing time, ages 6-78 years old. Everyones favorite was probably the pool, as it was very warm the week of the fourth. Everyone had their own space in the home and enjoyed all of the fine detail in the mansion. Even though the home is in a neighborhood in the city it is surrounded by trees and shrubs that make it feel very private.

Great Retreat

Our group of 8 life-long friends enjoyed our stay very much. We loved the pool area, the lounge chairs and gazebo with seating. The beds, towels, kitchen were all very nice. It was a welcome touch to have the coffee pods provided. We look forward to your continued work on restoring the mansion and grounds! We are hoping to return next year.

Birthday Celebration

Family members from around the country gathered to celebrate a 90th birthday. There were 19 of us and we enjoyed all parts of the house and grounds. Outdoor fun included pickle ball, swimming in the heated pool, lounging under the pergola at the pool, and evening campfires. Indoors was perfect for all ages. Spacious kitchen, comfortable sofas and chairs in living room and library, private bedroom suites with comfortable beds, an excellent preservation of an historical mansion!

Wonderful experience for our latest family gathering. Living area was extremely comfortable. Bedrooms and baths were spacious and well appointed. Kitchen was well equip. House is very private yet you are only minutes away from great restaurants and shops. Everyone enjoyed the salt water pool and deck area. Excellent stay at Cox Mansion

We had 14 people stay when we came in town for a Memorial for our mother. Age range of our group was 1 to 88. We were all able to sleep in our own rooms and congregate for meals in the kitchen and dining room and hang out outside for beautiful sunsets. The house is beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the neighborhood around it is great for walking in. The rooms were very soundproof which was great for the age range of our group. If you get the chance to stay here take it.

Great Pool

We celebrated a family birthday with 6 adults and 4 children. The house was very clean and well stocked. The beds were all great. We used all the bedrooms on the second floor and there were plenty of bathrooms for everyone. I can’t say what the bedrooms in the basement were like because no one used them. The pool and the cabana were OUTSTANDING!! We were outside most of our stay. We couldn’t get the kids out of the pool. We also enjoyed a little fire each night along with s’mores. Everyone had a great time!

Unforgettable Experience

We had a large group comprised of 4 families (19 people including adults and kids) stay for a long weekend to view the 2024 eclipse. We all had an absolute blast! There was plenty of room for us to spend time together eating or playing games, but also plenty of room to spread out if you needed some peace and quiet. We had fun playing tennis and cooking out on the side patio. All of the bathrooms were well-stocked and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, as well! Both check-in and check-out were easy. We had such an amazing experience staying in a historic mansion with our best friends watching the total eclipse! Truly an unforgettable vacation!

A fantastic historic property

What an amazing house! A group of us were in Dayton to produce a fundraising dinner and were thrilled to all be able to stay together in this 9 bedroom mansion. It's a gorgeous old home with a modern kitchen and wonderful pool. Plenty of room to gather in multiple areas of the home. We enjoyed prompt communication with the owner and had no issues with the property. Everything is as advertised.A few things to consider: this is not a home for crazy partiers or destructive children. It's a historic home and must be treated with care. The 6 upstairs bedrooms are all lovely, 4 with their own bathrooms and two that share one bathroom (one of which you have to walk through to get to the very back bedroom). The other three bedrooms are in the basement, and those share one bathroom that's accessible through the furthest back bedroom (which is itself accessible through the other two....basically a line of three adjoining rooms with the bathroom attached to the one in the back. This would be no problem for a family, but was a bit odd for unrelated adults staying in those rooms, walking through someone else's bedroom in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom. Not a complaint, just a layout to be aware of).We will happily rent this home again and loved every minute of our wonderful stay. Thanks, Alise!

Great Spot for a Holiday Family Reunion !

We spent the Holidays at the 1917 Cox Mansion. Our family ranged in age from 9 months to 93 years and everyone had a wonderful time. We particularly enjoyed the enormous living room U-shaped couch for conversation, opening gifts and watching football. Everyone agreed the beds were very comfortable and it was easy to control room temperature throughout the house. We cooked all our meals during our stay and the only problem was locating supplies, utensils, pots and pans in the many cabinets of the well-appointed modern kitchen. Please note the VRBO listing does not show an enormous (seats 16+?) table off the kitchen in a 2nd formal dining room.

Family Stay

The house is historic and beautiful! It was well appointed and equipped. Because of the thick plaster walls we were all able to have quiet and privacy. The pool was so awesome, although we didn’t find the hot tub. I loved having plenty of beach towels! I also appreciated the plastic cups that we could use at the pool. And the cabana at the pool, as well as couches and tables provided us with GREAT shade. The three year old in our family loved the pool, the two staircases, and the basement. There seemed to be a problem closing the basement shower door. The library and living room offered so much comfort and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
