There are 2 levels that are not connected making it private and seemingly separate.

5 bedrooms/3 baths and decorated in an uplifting, yet peaceful style!

The upper level has 2 king bedrooms, 1 room with double queens, full kitchen w/large ice-maker, spacious living room, and 2 full baths.

The lower level has 2 more bedrooms, 1 with king bed and the other with 2 full size beds, small living area, full kitchen, living room, and a large full bath.

Smart TV’s in every room! 2 sets of new large volume Washer/Dryers.

So much hang-out space….There is a large screened in porch on the upper level. The pool area has an “open to the sky” large space with a dining table and lots of comfy furniture to lounge, eat and socialize!

The new custom pool has a deep- blue colored tile with an easy-to-operate attached hot tub! There is abundant space for parking trailers/cars in the front yard.

Wifi, bikes, Corn-hole and a large gas grill are for your use. This home is close to a beautiful sand bar and “coffins patch” which is a protected reef that's known for snorkeling.

The house was beautiful. The two levels with separate entries worked out prefect for privacy between families. The outdoor space was amazing, we barely spent anytime indoors. Loved the ice maker in upstairs kitchen. Melissa, one of the owners was able to answer any questions that I had. We had one minor problem with one of the bathrooms and it was fixed immediately. Would definately stay again.

The house was great. The bedrooms were wonderful, kitchen had everything you needed. There was plenty of room to sit and visit. The pool area/hot tub was fantastic. Definitely recommend. The host made everything seamless. We had a great time.

Couldn’t be happier!

The property was perfect for our 7 member family (ages 14 to 70). It is exactly as pictured and communication with Melissa was easy. Definitely recommend this for others and if we are ever back in The Keys we will absolutely stay here.

This house is the full package and has everything that you need or would think you need for a truly enjoyable week on Key Colony. We only used the upstairs portion of the house, and it provided a well-equipped kitchen for making chicken nuggets to cooking our fresh catch. We used the grill and ate outside most nights near the pool, hot tub, and ping pong table. The dock was much more than we needed for our 18' Pioneer, but when we come back, we will definitely bring friends and at least one more boat which would more than fit. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and caught a number of Mangrove snapper and a variety of other fish. We used the chum bag on the dock and their minnow net to see what we could catch and ended up with pictures of an octopus and stone crab. We had a manatee visit one evening which was a nice surprise. Two things that I hadn't thought of that turned out to be huge were the ice machine that made plenty of ice for our coolers on the boat and the chest freezer for storing cleaned fish and bait. The week was pretty windy which is the norm for this time of year. The house is in a great location to jump out into the ocean or running around to the bay through Vaca Cut. We enjoyed fishing in the mangroves all the same. We caught a Spanish Mackerel trolling in the canals with a top water plug. Such a blast!

July 5th week.

We had a full house, 6 adults and 5 kids. The house was plenty big enough for all of us. The dock was great. Had a 33' Onslow Bay docked up all week with zero problems. And still had plenty of room for the kids to fish off the dock at night.

Paradise for families

This was maybe the most relaxing family vacation that we’ve ever had. We had 6 adults and 5 kids ages 4-10. It was so nice to just lay on the deck next to the pool while the kids played. The rooms were comfy. The local food was wonderful and the sunsets were gorgeous.

Great place for a large family vacation.

Really nicely refurbished, had a few hiccups with the new stuff but the owner was right on top of everything. Loved the pool and hottub, got us through some lousy weather. Really roomy and comfortable. Wifi worked perfectly.

Great getaway!

Spacious property with all the amenities you could want! We spent almost all of our time outside swimming, fishing, and playing games. Manatees, jellyfish, rock crabs, and even a stingray visited us at the dock. Owners were responsive to any questions we had. Would love to stay at this property again!

Great Place!

The pool and outdoor space was the draw for our family. The bikes, pool and ping-pong table were in constant use. Plenty of room for the eleven of us, it was just plain comfortable. The property manager was at hand almost instantly for the few small questions and needs we had. All in all, a great week.

Paradise!

The stay was nothing short of amazing! We had 6 people total in our group and had plenty of space for everyone. The property is very clean, inside and out. The outdoor space had everything we could ask for. There was plenty of outdoor seating, whether taking the sun in by the pool or relaxing in the lanai. The pool/hot tub was awesome to enjoy during the day and to relax in during the evenings. We played ping pong and had corn hole competitions. We did venture out on the paddle board and kayak as well. All of the equipment there was in working order and clean. We cooked most meals and had no trouble finding utensils/items needed, the grill worked perfect! We will be booking again for next year!

Family vacation 2023

The house was beautiful!! We had plenty of space. Sleeping was the incredible. I don’t usually sleep well on vacation but my bed was wonderful. Only a couple issues, tv downstairs didn’t work, tv upstairs-living room was always lose connection and we had to provide our own toilet paper, which was fine but I wasn’t aware of it. Overall-wonderful family vacation house!!

Marathon Vacay 2023

We had an awesome time at this well-equipt vacation rental. The only minor things I would offer for improvement are: 1. Figure out a way to elimintate the master bed frame noise. Every time you turned in bed you would wake the other person up. 2. A/C in the evenings was a little off in the bedrooms.

This is a MUST stay Marathon Property!!

Our family of 12 (Grandparents, Parents, children ages 2 to 14) stayed here for a week. The first thing I noticed was how clean the property was. It is decorated tastefully & was fully stocked with anything we could have needed. We loved the separate living space downstairs as it allowed the grandparents a place to go for some quiet time although there were several places they could sneak away including the upstairs screened in porch. We spent a lot of time in the downstairs pool area. The pool was huge & the hot tub was quite refreshing after a long day on the boat. This house is located on a deep canal just a short ride from open water. We had no problem getting our 36’ boat in & out. Our hosts were extremely helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again given the chance!

Spring break to remember

There were 11 of us in total. The set up with upper and lower level was perfect for some privacy and separation when needed. The house is amazing and has all the amenities and more. We explored using the bikes. Loved playing ping pong and bags. We brought our own fishing poles but several in our group did not and there were several fishing poles at the house they could use. There was a electrical breaker that was tripped during our stay and Melissa responded immediately and was very helpful. She also followed up to make sure everything was ok. I can not say enough about this house. I would go back in a heart beat. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise. Amazing and perfect for out break from the cold!

One of our best family vacations…

We began our rental search late this season due to having teenagers and their constantly changing spring sporting commitments. The OCD in my planning routine and the number of guests is always a task yet after countless hours of searching the entire length of The Keys with a bias in Marathon we kept going back to this house. To be honest, we had initial concerns about the separate levels yet it turned out to be a perfect situation having our parents and college son stay in the downstairs living area which was a blessing in disguise due to being on the ground floor. They were able to stay more active as we utilized the outside dining area with big screen to watch some March Madness…. Marathon has become an absolute family favorite because of the stable Spring Break weather and the amount of activities available to the kids (10-19) that is all very close and family friendly. The communication with the owner was excellent. Everything about the house has been very well thought out to make your stay more than enjoyable. We travelled from Michigan with our own paddleboards and fishing/snorkelling gear yet we could have just left a lot of things at home as you know how rentals can be. This was NOT the case… We rented a boat for 5 days and it blew for half of them yet we were able to sneak over to the Gulf side to find flat water. The dock is very well equipped and in excellent condition. There is even a ladder down to a swim platform for launching kayaks and boards.

The house was great! Two families with kids ranging from 10-15. Outdoor space was amazing, dock, pool, fishing poles, bikes, table games and TV. The house was clean except the kitchen, it needs some detail cleaning, the trash can needs a scrubbing and the dishes were dirty in the cabinets. The couch on the top floor had all kinds of food crumbs when you sat on it. The outdoor cushions need to be replaced as they are worn out. The ones in the chairs are disintegrating. The rest of the house and bed linens were clean and smelled good.
