The host was accommodating and helpful. The condo was even better than the photos and extremely clean. We had what we needed to cook (loved having the gas grill) and enjoyed the seating on the balcony. The washer and dryer were very nice to have. The AC worked great and we were very comfortable.

The condo is amazing. The views are absolutely gorgeous! Watching the kids from the yacht club having sailing lessons is so fun. You can also watch people snorkel below your veranda.The condo is equipped with everything you need. The kitchen has everything imaginable, espresso maker and pods, chop sticks, electric juicer, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, serving dishes, sharp knives. All soaps are provided, hand, dish, dishwasher, laundry detergent.Bathroom has hair dryer, curling iron, straightener, body wash.The beach is really nice. Never had a problem finding chairs. Snorkeling there is fun...sea turtles, stingrays and all kinds of colorful fish by all the rocks.Two restaurants and beach bar on property.Really enjoyable time!Yelena was quick to respond to any questions.Hoping to go back!

Wonderful stay!

Enjoyed our stay trememdously. Gorgeous views from the balcony. Every amenity you could ask for and great communication with property manager. Quiet, clean and we loved the close beach and restaurants.

The pictures are great but they place and views are better in person! There was plenty of room for the five of us. We really appreciated the air mattress being set up in the spare room. We will stay here again!

Better than advertised!

This property is absolutely beautiful. The balcony views were so amazing, walking distance to beach/restaurants/ beach bar. We rented a jeep and had a parking spot. Snorkeling was great. This was also one of the cleanest and well maintained place we have rented. Host was extremely accommodating and nice to work with. Would recommend this for a vacation, you will not be dissapointed.

This property is in a great location for going to St. John or just staying on St Thomas. Communication throughout the rental process was easy. I will definitely miss the view from the balcony.

Everything about this spot is perfect. Location couldn't be better - right on the water with beautiful views, and only 5 minutes from Red Hook and all of the shopping/food/access to ferry etc etc. Clean, cool, great communication from host, absolutely no complaints from us!

This place is absolutely STUNNING!! I have traveled many places, and boy was the view from the balcony here up there amongst the best. Top that with outstanding hosts, incredible location, and a literal steal as it relates to value. You couldn’t ask for more from a property.

Beautiful condo on the bay

Just had a wonderful stay at Orchid del sol. The condo is beautifully decorated and has an outstanding view of the bay and the yacht club. This is one of the cleanest and well-appointed places we have had the opportunity to stay at. The 2 restaurants on the property, the beach and pool were all about a 5 minute walk from the condo. The area was very quiet which allowed us to have a relaxing vacation. The unit is only about 5 minutes away from the Red Hook area with all its restaurants & shops. We will definitely return when we have the chance.

Exceeded expectations

Incredible location. Amazing views. Very responsive and helpful host. Beautiful property inside and out - gardens in the front and Caribbean in the back. Both bedrooms have on-suites and both bedrooms are equally lovely. Kitchen fully stocked. Super comfortable mattresses. Accessible to many things on foot or car Beach and pool were great too. Hugh quality finishes and furniture . We just loved it. Thank you!

Cowpet Bay Paradise

Wow! What a home run staying at this tranquil St. Thomas retreat. Unparalleled ocean vistas with the sounds of gentle waves lapping at the shore lulled us into a peaceful getaway. Amenities abound at this lovely appointed retreat, with superb attention to detail. We wanted for nothing with all that the owners provided. Yelena could not have been more accommodating. Great condo in Red Hook area.

While the property manager was not helpful or responsive, the owner was very helpful and responsive. Be sure to use the bug spray provided and be prepared for biting insects to come inside as well. Even though this is a first floor condo, the balcony is a true balcony (not a patio) and very private. The property is on a hillside so the first floor balcony is elevated. The cozy nook with the arch opening is wonderful. Quiet and great being on the Red Hook end of the island away from cruise ships.

Beautiful condo

The condo is wonderful. Everything was clean, well appointed and comfortable. It is really nicely done! The property manager was great too. She was proactive with communication and helpful with suggestions. The only piece that was a little hard was the address and GPS. Most local cab drivers know exactly where it is though. It is not really a walkable location. Will need a car or get a cab to get anywhere. Again, it was a wonderful property and would definitely stay again!!

Relax on the balcony!

The condo was even better than the pictures! No matter where I went on the island I could not wait to get back to that balcony! I needed a break and this was it. Listening to the waves just below the condo was the epitome of relaxation. It was clean, they were super responsive, and the condo was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. There was even scuba gear and chairs. I can't wait to come back, it's the perfect base for touring the island, but in reality there were many days I didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. There are restaurants within a short walking distance and a nice beach with shade for when you want to get out of the sun.

Best Cowpet Bay condo!

This condo is in a beautiful location with a short walk to a well kept beach with plenty of shade with chairs/loungers provided. The beach also has an upscale restaurant, casual restaurant, great pool and pool bar. The bay is clean and does not get overcrowded on high volume cruise ship days. The balcony of the condo is perfect. It is shaded from both morning and late afternoon sun making it ideal for watching the boat activity from sailboats to mega yachts (bring binoculars!). The condo is immaculate. Well furnished with quality dishes, stemware and flatware plus beds were super comfy. Hosts were quick to answer any questions and very accommodating. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

Perfect Place for R&R

I knew when I saw this place on VRBO that I found the best match for our R&R kind of vacation. The condo is even more spectacular in person! Like so many of the reviews that “sold” me, I can say the same! We enjoyed the balcony and all of the amenities (all the kitchen stuff, having 2 full Masters with r suites, and in-condo washer/dryer). It’s a quick 5 min walk down to the beach where it was quiet, offered some shady spots and the water was clear. The snorkeling along the edge/rocks was a plus! We really enjoyed meals and cocktails at Sangria’s, while we also prepared some meals at the condo after grabbing some groceries at Moe’s Marketplace. Yelena was very helpful and responsive. We used Kelly’s taxi and that was perfect as we didn’t need to rent a vehicle for the week - we wouldn’t have used or needed it as everything that we wanted was right there. We are looking to book again soon and would highly recommend Orchid del Sol (the gardens with the orchids are also spectacular)!

Perfection

We just loved this place. Two couples traveling for a week, we had plenty of space. It was nice having two master bedrooms. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning in all rooms was wonderful. The condo is well appointed….everything you could need in the kitchen (having an ice maker and filtered water in the fridge is gold.). It is stocked well with plenty of beach towels and extra linens as well. Sitting on the balcony was just a treat. We almost enjoyed that more than the beach. It’s a great location, too. Some of the best snorkeling around is right below the condo along the rocks. Red Hook is a 5 minute drive away, and Sangrias makes great pizzas to go if you want a night in. Check out MO’s Grocery for wine and spirits. Good prices and awesome selection. But again, this condo was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much.

Great condo in a great area

The condo itself is great and has tons of amenities including snorkel gear, towels, pool noodles, and beach chairs. The condo is near it's own private beach and has access to the nearby pool. The complex is private and quiet with a few decent restaurants. The beds and pillows were very comfortable memory foam. We got a very good night's sleep every night. The people staying in the garden facing suite complained of some weird smells and some bugs getting in. The outdoor balcony has a beautiful view of the bay. The kitchen is fully stocked and the fridge has a water filter and an ice maker. The host answered all of my questions quickly and effectively. They accommodated both an early check in and late check out. They even left us a very nice bottle of wine and a thoughtful hand written note. My one complaint (which is really a complaint of the island and not of the condo or the host) is that it is most certainly not walkable. If you plan to leave the area around the condo you will need a car or a taxi. There are no sidewalks and roads are narrow and poorly lit at night. Overall, this was a great trip that was made very comfortable by this condo.

We strive to provide a 5-star experience for each and every one of our guests and I'm sorry to hear that the location did not meet your expectations - unfortunately the island is not very walkable but we do recommend a car, and provide an assigned parking space right next to the condo. I'll also be reaching out to you directly to find out more about the smell - this is the first time we've gotten a complaint, and we want to eradicate it ASAP. We also spray for bugs on a monthly basis, but STT is a tropical island, and some critters are inescapable. Thanks again, and I do hope you'll visit our island again.

We had an amazing time staying here with our 2 little kids. Host is very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was cleaned the day of our arrival - it was a great to walk in to a clean home. The kitchen had plenty of supplies for cooking. The house felt well lived in. Highly recommend!!

We visited STT three times during 2020 and fell in love with the island and Cowpet Bay. Once we saw the view from this condo, we were hooked! We lived in the unit in the offseason when it's not being rented out, so we hope that you feel at home as we do!
