Underwhelmed and Disappointed

I want to say I have toiled over this submission. Never have I left a negative review in my history with VRBO. This property is in the best neighborhood/location on 30A, in which we’ve been visiting for 22 yrs. We chose this home for the location and the advertised 3rd floor outdoor living area with TV (didn’t work & waited 6 days for replacement), kitchen, & pool table. I will say the property manager, Eileen O’Sullivan, is the only reason we stayed our entire 10-night vacation. Upon arrival, the 2nd floor AC was out. Home owners were notified by the previous renters & still wasn’t resolved. We spent 2 nights with the temp registering at 78 degrees. We contacted the home owner and stayed on a conference call with them over 45 min. while they had us changing out filters, going back-and-forth between floors & reading meters, but to no avail. Eileen, brought over 2 temporary window units we used the remaining 8 nights, only cooling 2 of the 3 rooms. Service tech sent & needed to order a replacement part. Asked homeowner for updates and waited 3 days before any response. Meanwhile, Eileen checked on us multiple times/day. Homeowner cameras watched us at the entrance & 3rd floor. Bikes needed repair. I got the most unprofessional & hateful texts from homeowner, ones I’m more than happy to produce. We paid top-dollar for this rental & it’s apparent the homeowners lack civility/hospitality, both of which are non-negotiable in this industry. Don’t waste your hard-earned money

Nice getaway

It was our first time staying in this area. Cynthia gave us all great recommendations on where to go and where to eat. The home was beautiful and all the beds slept comfortably. Adding the golf cart was a must and we utilized it more than driving our vehicles. The walk to the beach was short but we were surprised in learning that you have to continue walking because the beach area that the walkway brings you out to is private and only certain people are allowed to utilize it. We didn’t mind it but if you’re expecting to walk off the path and sit right there don’t be surprised if you’re asked to move. They supplied all our beach supplies which left much more room in our vehicles for the trip down and everything supplied was in great shape. If we come back to the area we will book with Cynthia again. The house had everything we would need and then some. We enjoy cooking in and all the kitchen items provided were top notch.

Glorious Family Vacation

Had a lot of fun at this beautiful house. Short walk to the beach and just a few minutes in the golf cart to food fun and ice cream. I think the golf cart was a must.

Spring break

Three generations consisting of 9. People. Beautiful property that is very clean! Plenty of room and nice location with heated pool and beach access nearby. Plenty of restaurants close or can cook / grill at residence. Nice safe, quiet area. Highly recommended!

Something for EVERYONE

We all had the BEST vacation. The house has everything you need and much that you don’t know you wanted!! TWO fantastic kitchens for cooking for a large group. Space for everyone. Plenty of areas to gather and spots to get away for quiet time. The golf cart, bikes, and tons of beach needs came in so handy!! It’s perfectly located between Destin & Seaside. We easily drove to both! Thank you, thank you for a great stay. 😎

My husband and I have been vacationing in the area for many years. We built our dream vacation/retirement home at Grayton Beach. My husband is looking to retire in a couple of years. Until then, we vacation as much as possible in our new house.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The home is beautiful and almost brand new. I have provided just about everything anyone could need/want for a vacation. There is a relaxed vacation vibe. Lots of shopping, eating, beaching a short walk away. We have a 2022 Star Capella golf cart for those that want to rent it ($650/week is what we charge-rentals actually charge $1050 per week) so they can explore the area open air. You will want to reserve the golf cart. The kids go everywhere on the bikes. It's kid-friendly neighborhood where the kids are often biking up and down.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The beach is deep, not the swallow caribbean beach. There are two lakes on each side of the boardwalk. These lakes are perfect for kids 7 and under to play in. The Grayton Beach State Park is next to Little Redfish Lake. The beaches are scenic not just white sand that has been shaped by bulldozers.

The house is close enough to the bustle of 30A to enjoy everything 30A has to offer. But, the house is isolated being surrounded on 3 sides by state park. So, it's quiet and calm. No street lights at night. You can go hiking/biking 30A and the state parks, you can arrange a fishing charter from Grayton Beach or from Santa Rosa Beach docks, you can enjoy a number of restaurants that offer fish and more. You can kayak or SUP on the water when it's calm (had a booking last summer that kayaked with a pod of manatees, you never know what you will see). A kayak and wheels for the kayak are provided. I provide 2 beach carts-1 with balloon wheels. The golf cart has a rack for beach chairs. Take the golf cart to any beach in the area. Shop at the Hub, or any of the other centers on 30A.

We are located 3.5 miles west of Seaside and 3.5 miles east of Gulf Place. Redfish Taco and Blue mountain creamery within walking distance. Red Bar and downtown Grayton is 1 mile from the house.
