Disfruta de mi muelle privado para pescar, pescar cangrejos o lanzar un kayak si quieres. Al atardecer, pasee hasta la playa para ver las increíbles puestas de sol todas las noches. Vaya a disfrutar de un enorme cono en Big Olafs o ostras y una cerveza en Siesta Key Oyster Bar. Mi favorito es la sopa de almejas en Captain Curts cerca del puente sur ... es impresionante. Hay muchos excelentes restaurantes y tiendas en todo el pueblo. Todos están a un corto paseo o un paseo rápido en bicicleta.
Hay muebles de patio al aire libre y una parrilla de gas, todo bajo un enorme roble. Esta es la vida en la isla en su mejor momento. Nota. Jim is a great host and provides everything you need to ensure your stay is comfortable. The cottage is tucked away in the back of his other property, so lots of privacy. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and nightlife. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The Surf Shack was the perfect place for me and my daughter to enjoy the Siesta Key area. Bed was comfortable----my daughter enjoyed the sofa bed as well and said it was cozy. Our host was helpful and gave lots of recommendations. The place was immaculate---we were provided with laundry detergent and lots of little extras around the house that we really appreciated. We could walk to the beach--which was beautiful. I would 100 percent stay in the same place if we ever have the opportunity to come back.

Great little shack on the Key

Location in a quiet neighborhood is close to all you need for a fun, relaxing time on Siesta Key. Bed is comfortable, kitchen and bathroom are adequate and it has a washer and dryer. Park your car and walk or take the trolley or Frog Hop to anywhere on the Key.

Such a sweet little place to stay. The pictures don’t do it justice! My parents stayed here while my husband and kids stayed in the house and it was PERFECTION. We loved having our own space while getting to spend vacation together. The efficiency was so impressive

Loved Surf Shack

Starting with host extraordinaire Jim who made the whole process seamless to the condition of the property to the perfect location, we give the highest of ratings. We had a most amazing 18 day stay and will return. This property would be a great rental year round for a couple looking for a getaway. It perfectly met our needs in every way. We’ll be back again!

We had a wonderful time at the Surf Shack! We spend the majority of our time outdoors and really enjoyed the outside space which has both shaded and sunny spots to relax in Florida’s beautiful weather! My wife really enjoyed sitting at the dock on the canal in the morning and late afternoons. The beach and dining at the Village restaurant/bars is an easy walk. Our host Jim was very responsive! He made sure our stay was enjoyable! We will be staying at the Surf Shack again!

Loved Our Stay!

We were extremely happy with our stay at the Surf Shack and have zero complaints. The only thing that we didn't like was leaving. We already booked for next year! The Surf Shack had everything that we needed plus more. The wash machine/dryer and gas grill were an added bonus! The decor was really cute. The location was awesome-a short walk to the Village and beach. We arrived two days late because of weather in Michigan and Jim offered to extend our stay for two extra days at no charge! Jim is an amazing host! He responds to texts immediately and went above and beyond as a host. We HIGHLY recommend the Surf Shack!

Everything You Need

We enjoyed our week at the Surf Shack. It met all of our needs perfectly and the price was great for being right on Siesta Key. This property is 2000 steps from the beach access and 1200 steps from the attractions in the Village according to my Fitbit. We didn't mind the walk but anyone staying here should be aware of this. The beach cart, nice beach chairs, and cooler provided by the owner made heading to the beach a much easier proposition. The bed was comfy and we were grateful for the ice maker in the fridge. We have not usually had ice available to us for filling the cooler, so we did like that a lot. We had numerous flight delays and didn't arrive until the sun was just about coming up, so we appreciated the lights and the AC being left on for our very late arrival.

Siesta Key Village Oasis

We had an awesome stay at Jim’s Surf Shack. The cottage met our needs perfectly and was a comfortable and quiet place to stay. Loved the outdoor area as well to enjoy an afternoon refreshment and relax after a day at the beach. Pictures accurately display the property with evidence that Jim keeps things in great condition and the cottage was extremely clean. Access to the beach and village restaurants and shops were easy and a short enjoyable neighborhood walk. Jim is an exceptional host; extremely responsive and friendly. It was great to meet him during our stay. We look forward to our next stay as our overall experience was exceptional. Thank you Jim!

Second visit - still great

We again enjoyed the convenience of being in walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and shopping. This was complemented by having our own private outdoor area. The accommodations were just the right size for a couple with a nice size kitchen stocked with all needed equipment. Plan to come back again!

Loved the surf shack

My husband and I absolutely loved the surf shack. Jim was the best host, he told us everything we needed to know about the area. The surf shack was very clean and had all the things we would have ever needed during our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware etc. There were coolers, beach chairs, towels and even a beach cart we used every day. It was a short walk to the village and if we didn’t feel like walking, we called the Frog transportation. Jim left us coupons for restaurants along with a guide for places to enjoy during our stay. He was very responsive to messages and checked on us during our stay. We could have not picked a better place for our get away. Thanks Jim!! We will definitely be returning to the surf shack.

Great little place!

My husband and I just stayed here for a week. It was a great little place that was just under a 15 minute walk to siesta key beach! The walk to the restaurants was even shorter! We had everything we needed. Would definitely book here again!!

Convenient Location

The location was within walking distance of the beach and Siesta Key Village. We had enough room for 3 adults using the foldout futon. We really enjoyed our private outdoor area with table and lounge chairs. Plan to return again next year.

Laid back vibe.

We enjoyed our stay at the Surf Shack. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to the village and beach access. We rode our bicycles to the beach every day. We watched the full moon from the private dock on the canal. Siesta Key was a wonderful place to spend our 40th wedding anniversary! We will return here someday!

Amazing quiet place.

Had a amazing time in siesta key. Liked the fact that it was away from all the hustle down here. Property owner is super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Originally lived out here but needed more space.... loved the location to the beach and near the heart of the village.

Close to everything, private dock, very private location.. Outside h/c shower for returning from the beach. Solar outdoor led umbrella, patio set with grill and lounge chairs. I provide beach chairs umbrellas and beach cart to my guests.
