Wood Beach Retreat Excellent

We had the perfect stay at Wood Beach Retreat. The house was very well maintained with comfortable beds, a spacious open kitchen, screened in porch, and a beautiful pool and outdoor area. The beach access was less than a 10 minute walk from the house and not nearly as crowded as other access points we've been to along 30A. The large private pool was very relaxing after a long beach day. The owner was very accommodating and allowed early check in for us. We had no issues at all during our stay and will be back to visit again!

The place was clean and accessible. The pool was awesome. The water at the beach was closed during our stay unfortunately, but having the pool there made it much easier to entertain the kids.

Fantastic location-Beautiful House

Didn't want it to end. Easy access to beach. Great pool and easy access to restaurants and Seaside Square. House is well equipped and super clean.

Seaside Family Spring Vacation

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this house. Location was perfect for walking to the beach. We had most of the amenities we needed for the week..beach towels, chairs and umbrellas were a nice surprise. We would recommend a wagon to haul it all to the beach. The screened in porch and pool was great place to hang out for our downtime away from the beach or site seeing. We would suggest the porch be cleaner than we found it. We had to take time to wash dirty pillow covers and sweep and dust it. Overall, we had a great family vacation.

We loved the beach, spent pretty much all day every day there. The shower in the master is so great, water pressure is awesome. The screened porch with tv is a great place to chill at night.

Our stay was great! The property manager was accommodating, the house was cute, and it was fully stocked with anything you'd need on vacation, plus extras!

Home is lovely in a great, private neighborhood. Great layout, loved the backyard and pool and the Seagrove area is quaint and relaxed. Our vacation was wonderful and we loved the home. A few concrete patio pavers have popped up - hazardous if you aren’t looking closely.

Excellent Week!

Great beach house with resort backyard. Our family had a great time with kids and grandma. Kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds and easy access to beaches and Seaside. We took bikes and golf cart to beach, restaurants, and Publix. Renting the golf cart allowed us to navigate 30a end to end while not having to drive anywhere for the week. Plan on staying at Wood Beach Retreat again next year.

Fall break

We had a great stay during fall break. The house was very clean and very true to the photos. Perfect size for two adults, 2 high school and 2 college kids. We used the grill, enjoyed the outdoor patio, table and pool area. If staying during hot weather I would recommend a golf cart for back and forth to the beach. It was not a bad walk in the moderate October weather. The neighborhood is quiet and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good

My family and I had a great time, the pool was a hit for our kids and the screened in porch was a favorite hang out spot at night. The neighborhood was quiet and great to walk around. We loved how close it was to the beach and town. The property manager Hayden was very helpful with any questions we had before and during our stay. Only advice for the house would be to have more kitchen towels and more beach towels. We look forward to coming back!

Awesome Stay on 30A

Wood Beach Retreat was the perfect home for our week-long vacation at 30A. The house was just the right size for our family of four. Our kids LOVED the pool and extra toys/floats. My husband and I loved the location and the proximity to the beach. The only suggestions I have are to add a TV in the bunk room and to offer rental of the golf cart as part of the stay. While the walk to the beach wasn't bad, the golf cart would have made it quicker. We would definitely rent this property again!

Perfect House and Amazing Backyard!

This house was great for our family. We traveled with my parents, wife and 3yr old son. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms + full bath are separated by a door to the main living. This worked out great for us!! The backyard and outdoor patio area was where we spent most of our time away from the beach. Lots of space for activities! The house was in great condition and came with everything we needed in the kitchen. Highly recommend this house and rental company!

Fair

The inside was very comfortable and accommodating, very clean. The outside needed lawn maintenance and pool maintenance. The pool skimmer is ripped so trying to clean the bugs and pine needles was difficult. Also it would have been nice to know that the house next door was under construction. Every morning we were woke early by the noise, and it was not relaxing to be outside with all the work going on.

Couldn’t be happier

We couldn’t be happier with this beautiful home. This is hands-down the cleanest, best kept, coziest vacation rental we have every stayed in. The patio and pool were what dreams were made of. The whole family had a blast and we didn’t even need to leave the house all week if we didn’t want to! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully loaded with everything we needed, and we enjoyed all the “extras” like the ping pong table, bikes, games, and pool toys. We enjoyed scrabble around the kitchen table every night. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood that is perfectly located on 30a. Shopping, groceries, and dining was 5-10 min drive. Beach access is located across the street with a bike rack. We parked most days at the public beach access 2 min down 30a just for ease of lugging beach bags from the car. Any time we had a question, the property manager was very quick to respond and polite! The owners and property manager went above and beyond for us to make sure the pool was heated for us too! Thank you to the owners for hosting us in this perfectly beachy home!

Review

Great location, nice pool. However, there are just a few items that are left for use. Only 4 rolls of toilet paper about 2-3 dishwasher pods and laundry soap. Same with trash bags. There’s a total of 6 beds so I would say about 8 people max could stay. That is not a lot of necessities left for use of that many people. When I let the manager know we needed more he stated they just provide a starter kit and we need to buy anything else. I looked back and I did not see it in the description. I did see that it’s under recommended items to bring but that’s not very specific. Other than that it’s a great location and they respond fast just would’ve liked more necessities.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the location of this home is amazing plus the private pool and yard back yard offer such an awesome experience. Yes we do provide a starter kit of amenities for guests to get them through a few days but after that guests do need to purchase the additional amenities that they need and we do state this one the listing and in prior arrival communication. We hope to have you come stay again soon!

The property is great, with a few exceptions

The house really is very nice, but I don't think that it is made very clear that the Greenwood beach access has zero parking so, unless you plan on walking the half mile to and from the beach, you really are better off going to the Santa Clara public beach access. We had very small children in our group so walking was out of the question anyway, but I do think that should be clearly stated for a rental in this price range. Also, there is a camera pointed directly at the pool! We still used the pool the entire trip, but it was a frequent point of discussion that it really seemed to be an invasion of privacy, and frankly, quite creepy, that someone could simply call up the live feed and watch our wives and our children in their bathing suits. I'm sure it's for 'safety' or insurance concerns, but it is very off-putting. Oh and the property manager will send you bizarre, empty emails, or emails that a payment has failed (when it did not), but absolutely will not respond if you email him. That's not the property's fault, but know what you're getting when it comes to his customer service. If we had had a serious issue, I have no confidence that we would have been able to resolve it effectively during our stay. All in all, I would stay here again, but I'd be inclined to shop for other properties first just because of the price of this rental and because of the pool camera, but we enjoyed our stay otherwise and found the home quite comfortable.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay at this beautiful home. As stated in the welcome letter email both of the beach access points are mentioned. I think you maybe confused with someone else because we never received any phone calls, emails or messages from you otherwise we would have promptly responded as we always do now I will say we did actually reach out to you twice over your stay via text message and a automated email asking how your stay was and we did not hear back so we encourage guests to call us anytime and as all of our reviews state how prompt we respond so we want our future guests to know this was a very odd review and I apologize we have to stay this is concerning that someone would make these claims so blindly. And we do send out a few automated emails asking guests about their stay and if payment failed which you would have received automated emails in that case notifying you of that otherwise you wouldn’t have received them and if you replied to the no reply email address then we would not have received the messages but regardless we want guests to know we are very prompt and check in with guests to make sure everyone is happy at this amazing property. We encourage guests to reach out anytime but it is important that guests read the welcome letters and emails carefully because there seems to be some confusion because it was not read throughly. We take reviews very seriously and claims about our services that’s why we want to make sure guests are fully aware of the correct contact information and automated emails that go out have a purpose which we do not believe is bazaar. This home is absolutely perfect for families and is very conveniently locatedy in Seagrove. Rest assured we are here to help all of our guests 24/7.

Everything was really great. The neighborhood, walk to beach, description of house and amenities. The only small detail that I think personally could be better is the lack of paper goods. To have to buy toilet paper and paper towels or napkins seemed a little stingy to me. Other than that I was very pleased with the property!

Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I took our almost 1-year-old for a quick beach getaway and this house was the perfect place to stay! We rode bikes to the beach every morning and enjoyed the pool in the afternoons. There are beach chairs/umbrella, beach toys, and pool floats/noodles so we had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor screened-in patio, especially for watching football games! It was a quiet little neighborhood close enough to Seaside and Seagrove to enjoy the restaurants and activities there but far enough away to still have some privacy.
