Perfect desert vacation house rental

Families with children have few hotel options due to adult only policies in most DHS hotels so we were very happy to find Shayda's beautiful home for rent with a pool and soaking tub. Our son loved swimming with the family everyday and the house location is close to many fun activities in Coachella Valley and Joshua Tree National Park. It was a very relaxing vacation.

Perfect Relaxing Spot

We are a small family of four with little kids who stayed here for a 3-day weekend. It was the perfect location for us as a gateway to Joshua Tree and to Palm Springs. The owners/managers were very responsive with any questions we had. The house was the right size for all our needs. The pool / backyard was super relaxing and great for our littles to run around. I highly recommend this place for anyone- it would fit the need of families, small getaway with friends, a couple's retreat etc

Quiet and peaceful

This was a great property for us. The back patio/pool area is really the highlight, with a fire pit and comfy outdoor lounge area. The pool was heated and very clean, but THE VIEW of the surrounding hills and mountains was spectacular. House was fully stocked with everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

Can’t wait to visit again

The property was incredible. Waking up and having coffee with the backyard view was perfect. Unfortunately we ran into an issue with the pool heat but the host went above and beyond to accommodate us. Would be back and looking forward to our next visit.

Pool and view is spectacular

The pool and view is spectacular. This really made the vacation. We spent every evening in the spotless pool under the stars, or reading by the fire table. We attended Thanksgiving 2023 and the weather was perfect, location ideal for visiting all the key Palm Springs attractions. The property had all that we needed. Great communication from the host. A lovely property.

With the few questions we had, Shayda was always quick to respond. In fact, she checked in with us each day. And even with the one sort of serious question (the temperature of the mineral pool), she had someone come fix things immediately

Great base location or stay-in retreat.

My husband and I were created by Kristi who welcomed us to the home. The home has a nice pool that is delightful when heated. The home is located high enough to have views of the mountains and overlooks Kimana hot springs area. Shayda responded to our needs in a timely manner. We look forward to our next arrival! If available, check out Kimana. The experience is indescribable. A person is short on words when trying to describe the experience- a relaxation haven, earth connection, and negative energy detox. Take the plunge. It’s worth it!

Lovely view

This is a charming house in a residential neighborhood with a lovely view over the desert. Desert Hot Springs itself is not a particularly unique or interesting destination, but this is a good base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park and the Palm Springs area. The house was the cleanest VRBO we've experienced (with one small exception that we raised with Shayda, who was very apologetic). Good utensils/pots&pans in the kitchen so we were able to cook several meals easily. The bed was comfortable and the water super hot. We enjoyed sitting on the patio or by the fire pit watching the mountains and desert below. Our only disappointment was the pool. The photos are deceptive as one third of the length is only about eight inches deep. This is not a pool for swimming laps - rather a splash pool or soaking tub if you pay extra for heating the water.

I have been traveling to Desert Hot Springs for many years because of its amazing mineral waters, clean air, and its location as it is a short distance to all of the different settings of nature, entertainment, and great restaurants. Once I found a property that had access to hot mineral water in the area, I got it and decided to share it with others who appreciate all the same things.
