Great location! Beautiful gulf views!

Enjoyed the refreshing pool and the views from the balcony. Quiet resort with friendly staff. Be sure to tip the umbrella guy at the beach. He works his tail off. Note: bring coffee filters and salt/pepper.

Very Nice Stay

We enjoyed our second trip to Holiday Surf & Racquet Club. Condo was exactly as pictured/described, had a wonderful view, comfy beds, and new furnishings. We loved being on the beach and having two chairs and an umbrella included. We will surely return in future years. The only things that were different from condos we have paid more to stay in included not having covered parking, not having a washer/dryer in the unit, and not having a better pool (which doesn't matter to us anyway as we prefer getting our Vitamin Sea!).

Extremely kid friendly

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was clean and the view was beautiful. The only problem with the room was the a/c during the night would have a vibration type noise at times, but I didn’t say anything about it. (Didn’t want to mess with it on vacation). The location was great, the beach was easily accessible, the only complaint was it wasn’t very adult friendly. We’re all in our 40s and 50s and wanted to enjoy a cold beverage in the pool, but was quickly told we couldn’t by the fun police. The whole time we stayed there we seen the same guy harassing respectful adults trying to enjoy themselves on vacation in the pool with a cold drink like it’s the biggest issue, meanwhile kids are running wild jumping in and out of the pool(having fun mind you). We’ll probably stay elsewhere next time.

Well, it's just okay. Not great value for the money!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: THE GOOD: Beautifully located with direct access to the gulf beach. The view from the balcony was great! Unit was clean.THE NOT SO GOOD: Overall property (not just unit 705) is quite old and the age shows everywhere. They may have tried to renovate it to some extent but it is just old now. Unit 705 was also just okay, not great. The pics were much better than the interior. Well kept but overall quite old. Appliances, furniture and fixtures were old/worn out. Lighting was poor especially in the bedrooms. Bathrooms need help too. The air conditioner was significantly loud, as in it would disturb one's sleep when it came on. All in all, I was expecting this to be a lot better for the amount of money I shelled out for two nights stay. SPECIAL MENTION: Big shout-out to Megan Pollack for being flexible and helping to reschedule to another date as we couldn't travel earlier due to storms.

Worst Experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: To begin with upon arrival the room had a Moldy smell. Which made me and family members ill. Secondly, the Hotel Staff was very incompetent. I reported 3 incidents of smoking on the balcony below me. Nothing was done. I was told the room would be fined, but every night my family went on the balcony it smelled like strong cigar smoke. They have a NO SMOKING policy that was never enforced. Secondly our microwave caught on fire and the refrigerator was not working properly. Then we attempted to wash our clothes and that’s all you could do was wash them. The dryer did not work. So imagine carrying a load of wet clothes ALL the way to the 4th floor laundry mat to re wash and dry. Worst experience of my life. I do not recommend.

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to HSRC for about 10yrs and we've enjoyed coming every year but something must be done to fix the beach chair tagging debacle. I had to get up at 5:30am to get down there in order to get a decent spot. There has to be a digital way to do this? Also the chairs could be spaced closer together in order to eliminate the 3rd row.

Every condo has ocean front views on a private beach and we could not have had a better week!! The condo was well stocked, decorated and comfortable. We did not want to leave! We travel frequently and would recommend unit #705 to any of our friends. Destin was fabulous! So much to do especially at Harborwalk! Book the trip, you won’t regret it!
