Clean spacious with just the basics
We rented this place for eclipse viewing and it was the perfect landing spot for that purpose. Clean and with bed space for the whole group.
Until the final week communication had been very responsive but we didn’t get the check in code until the day before, which made me nervous. And when I wrote to ask about more sheets the conversation stalled. (There were no more sheets). Check in time was late (5pm) so it was hard to run to get things.
The unit had just the very basics. We had to wash dishes a lot because there were just enough glasses and plates for each meal. The towels were thin and small and one per person. We had to split up the sheets from the other beds to get enough bedding for the bed in the spare room. It didn’t seem like the duvet covers were clean so we took those off. There seemed to be only enough toilet paper for the group (though we ended up having to share some from one roll with the other bathroom). There wasn’t enough soap in the kitchen. Luckily we brought our own cards and board games. Salt and pepper were the only basics in the kitchen. Overall it felt like a bachelor pad with only the most basic amenities. For the money we paid my friends and family thought it was a little too sparse.
