Ramona 'Valley of the Sun' se encuentra en las estribaciones de San Diego.
Cielo azul, días sin niebla, hacen de este un lugar de vacaciones durante todo el año.
La casa está a 15 minutos del San Diego Safari Park (Wild Animal Park). A principios de la década de 1900, el vecindario era un lugar de vacaciones de fin de semana para la gente de la ciudad de San Diego.

La casa de 1600 pies cuadrados se construyó en 2009 con un destello de artesano modificado. Fue cuidadosamente diseñado y amueblado por los propietarios. Los techos abovedados y altos, los tragaluces, las ventanas grandes, los gabinetes de arce natural y los pisos de piedra caliza natural hacen que el espacio abierto sea muy luminoso y brillante. La cocina gourmet está totalmente equipada para grandes y pequeñas necesidades de cocina y comedor.

El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king size y es en suite. El baño está alicatado y tiene una ducha enorme. Una puerta corrediza de vidrio conduce a una cubierta cubierta donde puede disfrutar de su café o té por la mañana. El dormitorio de invitados tiene 2 camas individuales. El baño adyacente tiene una bañera y ducha. Las habitaciones están separadas por la sala de estar. Ambas habitaciones tienen pisos de madera dura. El salón tiene un sofá cama queen size y TV de pantalla plana. La lavandería está equipada con lavadora, secadora, fregadero, tabla de planchar y plancha incorporadas. El porche delantero cubierto es un gran lugar para ver increíbles puestas de sol, avistar un pavo salvaje o escuchar palomitas.

En Ramona hay campos de golf, rutas de senderismo, tiendas de antigüedades, parques, tiendas de comestibles, restaurantes, viñedos de cata de vinos, paseos a caballo y una nueva biblioteca. A 20-60 minutos de Ramona hay cines, el zoológico de San Diego, Legoland, Sea World, Old Town, Sea Port Village, San Diego Harbor, Balboa Park & Museums, Shelter & Harbour Island, Point Loma Lighthouse, Deep Sea Fishing, Misiones históricas, teatros de The Old Globe, Lycium & Lamb's Players, playas y actividades de San Diego, eventos deportivos, conciertos de música, Observatorio Palomar, Mt. Julian, Laguna Mts, casinos de juego y tiendas outlet, y el Parque Estatal Anza Borrego (desierto) . A 90 minutos se encuentra Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Magic Mtn; Palm Springs, La Brea Tar Pits, Instituto Scripps de Oceanografía y mucho más.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable VRBO! The house is very clean and we really liked having access to a garage for our cars. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed spening time in the kitchen and great room as a family. The hosts were responsive, very kind, and easy to work with!

Peaceful, lovely home

We loved our stay. It was the perfect home base for my kids and I while we visited with family and prepare to move to the area. The house is very clean, feels spacious and had everything we needed including a yard for our dog. The neighborhood is quiet and very peaceful and my kids loved seeing the horses and the sheep down the street. We had a wonderful experience.

Visiting the grandkids

The property served our purposes well for our time with the grandkids. The home is open and worked well for the kids and 2 small dogs. The fenced backyard was a plus for the dogs. The hosts were gracious and helpful with our questions.

Sancturary in Ranch country.

Very nice layout of the house. It has great counter tops of granite with hues of various olives and pimento. The floors have fossilized squid and other prehistoric creatures. The kitchen is very nice.

Perfect Stay In Every Way

This was my first experience in a vacation rental and it could not have been any better. Bev and Richard are wonderfully welcoming and responsive hosts — their home is immaculate, so comfortable, so thoughtfully stocked with EVERYTHING and ANYTHING one could possibly want/need —especially when there for an extended stay as I was. The house is beautiful and exactly as depicted in the photos. And dogs are welcome! I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Ramona. Thank you Bev and Richard!

Short stay

We stayed at the Weekend Villa for the week. Very spacious home for our family of 4. House was adequately stocked. Kitchen was great!! Everything we needed to prepare our meals with ease! Highway is located behind the house but it didnt bother us. We had our coffee on the front porch every morning and it was so peaceful to just sit and relax. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!!

Little Gem

We had a very nice stay in this comfortable home. The property was very clean and had a nice layout. The kitchen was beautiful. The living area was open and spacious, and had plenty of natural light. The entry garden was charming. Overall, we thought it was a great value. One of the best things about staying at this property was the responsiveness and thoughtfulness of the owners. They took extra measures to help us have a lovely Christmas stay.

It is a small house that is very nice. There is a fenced-in backyard for the dog. This rural area has horses, lamas, goats, chickens, and wild turkeys. The only thing that I did not like was that the house was close to the highway.

In addition to Micheal’s review, he stated when booking that he & his mom live in a nice large house in a local coastal location. (The vacation rental is 1660 sq ft.) He left an email, after their 28 day stay, that read “Thank you so very much for letting us stay here. It is so much better than the house we rented in San Diego the previous month. We are hoping our evil neighbor has grown up & we won’t have to rent again. If we do have to rent again, we will be looking to stay here again.” His mom left a hand written note, along with a pot of bulbs with instructions for storing & planting, that read in part- “As an old interior designer I have enjoyed the quaint elegance & the many little surprises that you left for us.”

Airy, spacious, comfortable

We loved this airy, spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained house, which was perfect for our two-month stay in north San Diego County. The floorpan is ideal for two couples or a family: master bedroom/bath + separate laundry room at one end, second bedroom/bath at the other end, and a large, well-equipped kitchen, dining area, TV area, and sitting area in the center. While the location is a distance from coastal areas, San Diego proper, and the airport, it is nicely situated for exploring the Ramona Valley wine country, and it's close to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

Beautiful home "away from home"!

We spent 10 days in Richard and Bev's stunning home. We arrived Christmas Eve to find a welcome basket, Christmas decorations and even a small Christmas tree! The home is beautifully decorated with every need thought of! The kitchen has every appliance, kitchen tool, and dishware you could possibly use. It is bright and cheery even though we didn't have the typical sunny, warm CA weather. We enjoyed hosting our son and his fiancee, who live in Ramona, in this relaxing atmosphere. Thank you, Richard and Bev, for making our trip so special! We are already looking forward to our next visit in your splendid home.

Wonderful place to stay in Ramona

Such a beautiful home! We spent a long weekend in Ramona for a wedding and this was the perfect place for our family of six. The location is only a couple miles to the main part of Ramona, the house was spotless, the front garden is gorgeous, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had all the necessities, and there was even a little welcome basket with snacks and coffee. The hosts were very accomodating and kind. The backyard is fully fenced, which was perfect for our dog. I loved the big kitchen, comfy master bed, big master bedroom (we had two pack n plays in there for our little children and still plenty of room!), and really appreciated the ability to use the laundry room (even stocked with laundry soap, an iron, and an ironing board for when i needed to iron our wedding attire). My two older kids stayed in the second room and loved that they got their own seperate beds. We had such a great stay and we will definitely be back for another stay next time we are in the area.

Fantastic Home

Richard and Beverlys home was more than we ever thought it might be. The neighborhood is great, the views from the windows are incredible. There is everything, well almost everything in the drawers and cupboards, but they didn't have a rice cooker lol. There is a slight draw back with the home's location, if you don't mind the traffic noise, because Hwy 78 is less than 500 feet out your back door, but for us it was a minor issue, with the view and scenery being right out your back door. I would recommend this home to anyone staying in the Ramona area, we stayed 30 days waiting for the completion of our home being built. Thank You Richard for our talks and coming by a couple of times. The pictures and description are spot on, beautiful front yard, I can't say enough of how happy we were to stay here, Thanks again Richard and Beverly.....Gordon & Jaynee....

More spacious than pictures show, lovely views from every window, secure backyard for doggies.

My husband, myself, and my mother were here for 10 days in May 2023 with my two doggies for my son's wedding nearby. It is down a quaint country road, on our walks we saw some friendly goats, sheep & horses a few houses away. The house was much more spacious than the pictures show. Tons of counter space in the kitchen. Lots of kitchenware-- they have everything we needed and more. Very clean, beds were very comfortable. Very long counter in laundry room so that all the wedding stuff we were storing fit there and didn't take over the house, although there was plenty of room in the 2-car garage as well. There is some road noise from the highway but this didn't bother us at all- only noticed it during commute times if we had the back door to the porch open. We kept the window blinds pulled up the whole time to take in the wonderful views from every angle. It was a peaceful, lovely time there, and when in Ramona, we will stay here again.

A great place!

The internet picture does not do the place justice, as the front has been beautifully landscaped since that picture was taken. The house was clean and well furnished, with comfortable beds, and nice linens. We used the washer and dryer, the garage, the kitchen, the back porch, and found everything in good working order and comfortable. We also used the very nice gas grill on 2 occasions, it also worked great. The set up of the house suited our needs perfectly, as we had 1 couple and 2 sisters traveling to Ramona to visit family. When we arrived, it was about,10.00 PM, and I had talked to Richard and he was very gracious in accomodating our late arrival. What a nice surprise to find milk, eggs, coffee, bread, and oatmeal, all we needed to start the next day, I would recommend this house, it would also work well for a small family. We did visit Ramona and ate in the local cafe, and shopped in the antique stores, and bought strawberries and lettuce at the farmers market. Safari park was a fun place for anyone, and Ramona is only about an hour from the ocean in Carlsbad, And we were able to entertain family easily and they too enjoyed the house.We Hoosiers had a wonderful time in California. And if you need to buy groceries, Staters is a fantastic store.

Hélas un mauvais coup d'Orange nous aura effectivement privé de Wi-Fi ce week-end là pour la première et j'espère la dernière fois en 15 ans. Very nice

This was our home away from home to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family. The home was nice with plenty of room to gather. Our communication with the owners was great before and during our stay.

Ramona Vacation

We were in town for a family wedding. The house was very clean and perfect for our stay. The Clausers were great about responding to questions prior to our stay. We would stay here again. Thanks for a stress-free trip!

Very happy

The property was wonderful and fit our needs for six people. Very clean and a well kept property. Our only disappointment was due to not having handicap bars in the shower and not enough outdoor deck chairs.

Richard & Beverly began independent travel at a young age. Experiencing the world & its people has become their passion. They've rented vacation apartments in many different countries, together, with family, & with friends. Introducing their 8 grand children to foreign & domestic travel is one of their favorite past times. Bev & Dick are native Californians- born & raised in San Diego county. They've lived 60+ years in Ramona where they raised 3 children. They work as a team, owning & operating a successful real estate brokerage for 26 years.

We built the house with retirement in mind. Ramona is convenient to all of San Diego county. It is less than an hour away from beaches, mountains & desert. The sunny weather is close to perfect. We travel to experience winter :)

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Although close to conveniences, the area is quiet & serene. Nature can be enjoyed or you can drive 15 minutes to major shopping & movie theaters. Our location is really central to all of San Diego County.
