Welcome to Moose Lodge. Tucked away in Alton Shores this picturesque 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom log cabin is just what you need to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The home provides plenty of sleeping arrangements for 10+ folks - ideal for a peaceful getaway with your loved ones. No matter the season there are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Moose Lodge has access to 5 deeded beaches, hiking and snowmobile trails and a 15 mile drive to Gunstock Mountain Resort.

The space
Our cozy cabin will dazzle you from room to room. Our wrap around deck is a great place to read or enjoy a cocktail. The yard provides ample space for a game of corn-hole and the screened in porch is a must for enjoying a morning cup of coffee. Be sure to end your day gathered around the campfire with your family and friends.

Enjoy soft beds, cozy linens, comfortable seating with room for everyone!

The home offers 3 flat-screen SMART TVs, gas grill, portable Bluetooth speaker.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire property plus the beaches and hiking/snowmobile trails. This is an excellent rental for a weekend of snowmobiling as you do not need to trailer your sleds to the trails.

The property is a quick 15-minute drive to Gunstock Mountain Resort to enjoy a day on the slopes.

The property offers ample parking for your entire party.

Had a great time. House was very pet friendly, host was incredibly responsive, nice set up of the house etc. Kitchen had all the amenities we needed. Neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful.

Great place for a family get together

We stayed here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and it was perfect for 9 of us. Lots of space and everything we needed. Great communication with the owner who responded quickly to our questions. Would definitely recommend!

Easy going family retreat

We enjoyed our time at the Moose Lodge. The weather was pretty wet so we couldn’t take advantage of the many outdoor amenities but we were comfortable with the indoor space of the cabin.

Great Cabin

This is our 3rd year staying at this property! It’s cozy and you have everything you need. The screened porch was perfect for morning coffee. Location is great, close to everything.

We all loved this cabin. Location was great nestled among the lakes and pond. It’s about 10 min from Alton bay, we had plenty of room for parking. House was very clean, our only complaints were the toaster wasn’t great,

A Wonderful Family Stay

It was a very comfortable and clean country cabin for our family of six people. The porches were great places to wait out occasional rain showers too! It was in a quiet neighborhood with two mountain lakes and several small swimming beaches at each. We brought our canoe and enjoyed exploring the area, swimming and hiking Mt Major too.

Family vacation

This is our fourth visit to the Moose Lodge. This cabin and community have my heart! The accommodations were perfect and we, the 7 of us had ample room and everyone had their own beds! The softest sheets ever! Just so cozy and inviting. Can’t wait to come back again.

Family getaway

We had an amazing stay at the Moose Lodge with our family for the 4th of July. We love coming up to Alton Bay but the tucked away association of Alton Shores is a hidden gem. The house was perfect and spacious for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids and the quiet beaches nearby are perfect for the kids or if you enjoy just a quiet water view. We had everything we needed and loved being able to enjoy the screened in porch in the evenings and morning without fighting the bugs outside. We hope to be back again someday! Thanks for sharing your home!

Great stay at NH log cabin/lodge in Alton Bay

Our family group of eight thoroughly enjoyed the stay at this property! Such a great home with rustic cabin/lodge/lake themes and plenty of room to spread out in three floors of living space, plus front and rear porches on the outside. Walking distance to the neighborhood's deeded beaches made for easy and fun access to Sunset Lake and Hills Pond for swimming and paddleboarding. Enjoyed 30 minutes or less of scenic driving for most points of interest on Lake Winnipesaukee. Host Dave was very accommodating and quick to answer any questions we had regarding the stay. We would definitely consider a return visit in the future!

Great cabin experience

Good friends with kids reunion

Fabulous! We were 4 adults, 2 young adults, 2 preteens and 3 kids and we were all so comfortable in this beautiful home and setting. Kitchen was fully stocked, clean and convenient. Communication with David was superb. We’d definitely recommend this property!! Thank you David.

We loved it!

We stayed in the log cabin for the weekend for our son’s graduation from Brewster Academy. The cabin was perfect for our family and in-laws. The bunk room in the basement was perfect for the teens. Room for Family and Friends Despite the Rain

The week of the 4th of July was not the best for weather, but it worked for us because of the numerous rooms in this rustic log cabin. The bunk room provided a balloon volleyball court for the kids and and the screened porch allowed for extra seating. It was an easy walk to the beach for our one sunny afternoon and everyone enjoyed jumping off the raft. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. I would stay here again.

Boys/Golf Trip

This place was amazing! Enough space to facilitate 7 grown men. The neighbourhood is quiet and the neighbours are very pleasant. Sunset Lake is stone’s throw away; Winnipesaukee is down the hill no more than 3-5 minutes away and Alton bay restaurants, shops as well as convenience stores are close in proximity too. Several golf courses in surrounding areas no more that 20-30 minutes away. Great place to escape from the day to day grind and get some good relaxation.
