Prime location right on lake

it was a beautiful property and very well maintained and clean. The house was stocked very well with a dock where you can kayak and fish. There was plenty of activities to do and we very much enjoyed our stay there.

It was an amazing vacation! The location was absolutely perfect!! We could walk into town, swim right off the dock, take the canoe and kayaks out on the water……so much fun! The house itself was perfect too. Plenty of room for our entire family. The layout also worked well for our daughter’s wheelchair - with a bedroom on the main floor and an accessible bathroom (with walk-in shower).

Mirror Lake bliss!

We rented this house because we wanted a place on Mirror Lake where we could kayak from the dock! Not only were the dock and yard perfect, the house was amazing as well. Beautifully furnished and very well stocked. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Lovely fall colors even in the rain!

We had a family week and as always enjoyed the open space and dining table for meals and board games. Love the kitchen which allows for several cooks to work together for easy meal preparation.

Nancy and her family stayed at my place for many, many years and they have become like family. Since retirement, I spend a lot of time in Europe but when I return after several months away, I enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks all over again. Despite the sometimes inclement weather, every season has its charm.

Beautiful home beautiful lakes

We enjoyed our visit to the this Lake Placid home. It was perfect for our small extended family. The home is well kept and clean. We enjoyed their deck and fire pit. The kayaks provided where great for getting out on the lake. We enjoyed watching the swimmers doing laps down the center of the lake from the dock. We would visit again

IMLP perfect location!

One amazing house!!! All the comforts of home were available to us! Two families enjoyed the wonderful house as we cheered on our men to the finish line of Ironman! The location was perfect! Having teenagers...the kayaks and dock were an added bonus!!! We loved the house and all its amenities! Martine was so sweet as she greeted us upon our arrival!

Another great week on Mirror Lake

Our second time staying in this property. Perfect location, quieter than the other side of the lake but walking distance to town for dinner, shopping, etc….. we hiked, biked, and swam but our favorite part was sitting on the dock with a cold beverage. I suggest you open all of the windows and doors as the home is positioned perfectly to capture all the lake breezes. Thanks again

Amazing home and location!

The Lake House was by far the best rental we've stayed at in ages! You don't have to worry about brining linens, beach towels, common kitchen items...think olive oil, spices, tin foil. Every corner of the house was completely spotless and clean. The owners encourage you to use their kayaks, a row boat and the canoe! The deck is literally steps from the house and every sunset was magical with a glass of wine. Highly recommend The Lake House and we can't wait to return...even in winter I think it would be a gem!

Amazing Lake House on Mirror Lake in Lake Placid

Our family of 4 loved this spacious Lake House on Mirror Lake. We were able to walk into town (approximately 1 mile) with ease and also enjoyed having Mirror Lake right in our backyard. The house is supplied with kayaks, a canoe, beach towels and lifejackets. Plenty of chairs and loungers, plus an umbrella for shade. My favorite part of each day was enjoying coffee on the dock in the comfortable ADK chairs. The kitchen was well stocked. The interior furnishing were comfortable with plenty of room to spread out together as a family or to find some privacy. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful House on Mirror Lake

My husband and I stayed here in October. It's in the perfect location on Mirror Lake - very private and quiet, yet only a 10-minute walk to Main St. The house itself is very clean, offering beautiful views of Mirror Lake from almost every room, letting in lots of sunlight from the many floor-to-ceiling windows. It's very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. On cold mornings, we loved the radiant heat from the floors in the kitchen and dining room. Nice bonus was the five-minute walk to the trail head of Cobble Hill, which is a great two-mile R/T hike offering gorgeous views of the fall colors.

Beautiful House on Mirror Lake

The house was very clean and spacious. We had 6 people and room for more. My older son had the entire bottom floor suite to himself and his girlfriend. My teenage daughter had her quiet time on the main floor with her bedroom suite, and my husband and I and my other son on the top floor. My other son had his own room and I shared the top huge bedroom with my husband. The home is decorated beautifully. We spent the weekend dog sledding, skiing, and playing board games by the fire.

Great Guests on a very cold Martin LutherKings Holiday Weekend Chris and his family and friends where great guests. They treated the home with respect and are welcome to return anytime again. The last two days where brutal cold but they made there stay enjoyable in front of the fireplace. The late minute instant booking through VRBO worked out perfectly.

Incredible location and layout

My family and my sister’s family met here for a long weekend. The property is only 10 minutes to Whiteface and we had a great few days skiing. The house was right on Mirror Lake, which was frozen, so we were able to skate and walk across the lake to get coffee from the picturesque Lake Placid Main Street. People dog sledding and playing hockey on the lake added to the charm. The house is a great size with nicely separated bedroom areas that provided very comfortable sleeping arrangements for us all. The kitchen and dining areas were well-equipped and provided great space for preparing and sharing family meals. The focal point of the main living area was a large fireplace surrounded by floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake and not a TV (which we loved) providing an optimal space for cocktails, cards and conversation after a tiring day on the mountain. A loft area with comfortable couches provided another great space to relax in, and the loft TV allowed us to get our Winter Olympics fix at the end of each evening. All in all, we now have family memories to cherish because of our unforgettable experience at a fantastic property in an absolutely gorgeous town.

Waterfront Gem

We had a wonderful week fishing, kayaking, swimming and lounging at the house. The location and dock can't be beat. The gradual sandy decline was comfortable for kids and adults to acclimate to the water, and we really appreciated having boats available to use. The house was incredibly clean and beautiful. We found it well stocked and comfortable for an extended family. Some of our group was a little hot in the upstairs bedrooms in the early evening, and blackout curtains in the main floor bedroom would have helped. Overall an ideal place to enjoy Mirror Lake and all it offers.

Great Holiday Vacation

Went to this property for Christmas and New Years. The house was welcoming and comfortable and had everything we needed. Town kept 2.7 mile sidewalk around Mirror Lake clear through ice and snow. We skied, skated on Mirror Lake and relaxed! Couldn't ask for anything more!

Great location

The location is right on the Ironman course (swim, bike, and run) which was great for me as a racer so I could see my family and kids. Very close to town. Nice property. Would stay again.
