Perfect Getaway

This was the perfect cottage for our stay in Mathews. The cottage was very clean, very well stocked and nicely decorated. It is conveniently located close to town and water access. We had a wonderful time here.

Wonderful and so relaxing!

This cottage is exactly how it is described. It was very clean! The host was so nice and so accommodating. She assured us that we could walk all over the property and I certainly did. There were deck chairs on the dock and it was just so peaceful. We definitely want to come back.

Great Stay on the East River!!

We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Right on the river with kayaks and paddleboards available. Brand new BBQ ready for use. Everything was clean and the kitchen was nicely appointed. Town of Mathews is just a short jaunt down the road. Our family had a great time!! Five stars!

Overall great experience. Property had everything you could ask for. Kids loved fishing and crabbing from the dock as well as kayaking on the East River. 10 minute drive to a very clean beach.

Amazing Chesapeake Getaway

We had an amazing stay—so much fun, and the host was absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a quiet, private getaway near the Bay.The host, who lives next door, was incredibly warm and welcoming. She helped us get settled, offered great local recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. Any questions we had were quickly and kindly addressed.She also generously shared her kayaks, paddle boards, and crabbing equipment, which made it easy for us to enjoy all the outdoor activities without a worry. The private pier with Adirondack chairs was a perfect place to relax, watch the sunset, and take in the local wildlife.We would definitely come back and stay here again!

We went to Mathews Market Days on 9/6. Beautiful location. Wonderful to see all the birds while grilling. The S'mores were a nice added treat.

I was born and raised in Mathews County and have been a Realtor for over 20 Years. I enjoy welcoming new visitors to enjoy our area and experience our waterfront community. I enjoy boating, the beaches, farmers markets, antiquing, reading, eating out and fishing and crabbing myself!!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

I like this neighborhood because it is quiet and the neighbors are friendly . There is a lot of room outside to take walks and a nice pier to use and a patio to get some sunshine . I like being able to Kayak on the water and go crabbing and fishing off the pier. I like the proximity to nice restaurants and music events nearby.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The bedrooms are large and the cottage is newly renovated. The living room is open and airy and the kitchen is pretty and is equipped with everything you need. The heating and cooling system works great and it is very spacious and cozy. It even has a fireplace and wifi. I could stay here for 30 days and never want to leave home!! I love the water views!
