Beachfront Condo

We have stayed at the Summerhouse on four different occasions starting in 1984 when it was first built.On this trip, we arrived two weeks after the Milton hurricane. Our unit was not affected although another building was hit by a tornado and the roofing was being replaced.The condo unit has a very heavy rear sliding glass door, probably for protection against winds and storms but it takes some strength to move it. Beautiful views from the unit, especially the master bedroom. Outside you share a patio with the neighboring condo. I wish there had been a divider. The front door screen needs to be replaced as it would not shut promptly and it would have been preferred to have a keyless entry. The kitchen had everything we needed and we did make some meals daily. Several times we had small roaches running about in the kitchen. We liked all of the furniture and the beds were all comfortable.The pools were well maintained and we enjoyed them, Also, we were glad there were lights at the pickleball courts as we were there at least four times this week. The playground was minimalist for my grandson.St. Augustine had many wonderful places to eat and visit and shopping for groceries is about 10-15 minutes away. It is pretty isolated at the Summerhouse but that is nice for us as we mainly like the beach, pool and courts on a daily basis with a few side trips.
