This completely renovated 2 bedroom home is the perfect place to relax. Located on the historical Mobile Bay approximately 2 miles from the actual fort at Ft Morgan, Alabama. You'll be so pleasantly surprised at the delightful cottage, that has amazing space and sleeping accommodations for 5. You'll enjoy a king size bed in the master bedroom with an attached bathroom. The second bedroom boasts of a twin over full bunk to accommodate children or adults alike.
You'll enjoy cooking meals or just preparing beach snacks in the fully furnished kitchen with all new appliances. There is no icemaker in the refrigerator. There is a large 65" tv on the wall in the living room. The views, fishing, and relaxing are what this Reel house is all about.

This home is pet friendly. SMALL DOG ONLY, no larger than 25lbs. The following breeds are prohibited by the association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull. No other pets allowed. Please call the office to book a pet friendly property.

Overshadowed by construction

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros: The house itself is very well kept. It’s one of the older ones in the area judging from the size and style, so for it to be in such good shape means a lot has been put into taking care of it. It was a bit of a tight squeeze for two adults and two teens, but true to the description provided. The kitchen had what we needed (except a wine key or bottle opener!). The yard was well kept, which was good for our pups.... But the yard is full of burs that hurt their feet and got stuck in their fur (typical for the area though). The dock and the kayaks were the best parts. Saw a lot of mullet jumping amongst the oyster nursery. From the dock we caught a lot of small catfish (a ton of hardheads, one teeny gafftop), croaker, pinfish, and a few spots. Nothing big. And definitely recommend taking the kayaks over the Bon Secour!Gulf beach access is a quarter mile (hot in August!) walk. We were fortunate with some very calm surf and clear water. Lots of fish to swim amongst. Cons: The vacation was nearly ruined by the construction of two very large houses going in on the lot to the north. They are squeezed in right next to this house. Feet away. Hearing hammering and sawing all day was absolutely awful. Couldn’t relax. Couldn’t nap. What made it worse was the classic rock radio the workers had blaring the whole time. Couldn’t enjoy sitting on the deck overlooking the water starting from 7 in the morning. That greatly knocks my rating. It was not a peaceful vacation. This house should not be rented until the construction is done. And there will be neighbors in very close contact after that.

Very easy to find, close enough to all of gulf shore’s amenities but far enough away to provide peace and quiet. House was very clean and it faces west so beautiful sunsets every night. Beach is an easy walk and was never too busy. Wildlife was great as well, saw dolphins multiple times!

Wonderful stay!

The location was wonderful! Easy walk to the beach and great bay views from the home! The home was very clean! Great response time regarding any questions. My family looks torward to staying here again!

Not so peaceful retreat!

Pictures show a relaxing little cottage but little did we know they were building 2 houses right next door. Workers were there from early morning to late night, hammering, drilling and making a lot of noise. The peaceful retreat was far from it! The house being built next door is approximately 10-15 feet away, so very close. The cleanliness of the house was questionable also. Seems there were several spills and stains throughout the house. Kitchen counters had a spill of white goo??? No I would not recommend this house unless you had very low expectations!

Construction noise was unexpected.

The house was great and the process was easy but we had no idea that construction was occurring right next door. Starting bright and early every day there was construction noise all day long. It made time on the porch not enjoyable. It was not a relaxing get-away as we had hoped. I just wish it had been disclosed so I could have made an informed decision.

A Great Stay

The house is in a pretty good location to where you can walk to the beach or drive to some public access points. The provided kayaks were also nice. With them you could launch out and kayak over to St. Andrew’s Bay to fish or explore.

Relaxing quiet cove with a view

We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and watching the sunsets. The little private beach was a nice added attraction. Great place to get away from it all.

So clean, so nicely furnished, an ideal property on the water. The neighborhood was very quiet and the beach only two blocks away. However, we liked staying at the property with the small beach in front of the house. The dogs loved swimming, we relaxed by the water and enjoyed the view. Sunset Properties thought of everything for water recreation including kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, fishing poles and traps. You can’t go wrong with this cottage!!

We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores and the traffic and congestion. It was just what we were looking for.

Perfect!

This stay was perfect for the girls to get away! It would also be great for a family vacation with pets. Nice beach. The house was very clean, kitchen was well equipped to cook. Beds were comfortable. We will be coming back.
