Sona Tra is a classic oceanfront, dog-friendly beach house in the quiet coastal community of Arch Cape, just minutes south of Cannon Beach. This family-friendly home offers direct, low-bank beach access, panoramic Pacific Ocean views, and a relaxed setting ideal for both quiet escapes and memorable gatherings.

With three bedrooms and an open, comfortable layout, the home is well suited for families and multi-generational groups. Large picture windows frame the ocean from the main living areas, where guests can relax by the wood-burning fireplace, enjoy dramatic storm watching in winter, vibrant sunsets year-round, and, at times, even glimpse whales passing offshore.

The fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining area, making it easy to prepare and enjoy meals together, while the backyard provides space for kids and dogs to play. A game room with Ping-Pong and board games offers entertainment on cooler or rainy days.

From tide-pooling and long beach walks just steps from the home to exploring nearby attractions like Haystack Rock, the Oregon Coast Trail, and the charming towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita, Sona Tra delivers a true oceanfront Oregon Coast experience in every season.

This property is in a great location, is fairly clean, and provides nice views from the front lawn, dining room and master bedroom deck. It is a perfectly adequate accommodation for 2 to 4 guests who do not mind a limited level of privacy. You should know however, that the third bedroom on the lower level shares space with the furnace which regularly turns on and off throughout the night. Some may find this fluctuation of noise prevents the possibility of a good nights sleep. Our party chose to leave a day early because of it. I have heard from management however that no other guests have ever had an issue with it, so your experience may of course very. I love Arch Cape and have stayed in many houses along it's shore. While this is by far the most I have payed for a rental in the area , it is the only stay that I have so far not enjoyed.

Our host, Shannon, was always available for questions and really made us feel at home! We have stayed at Arch Cape for decades, but this was the first time at this location. It was also the first time we gathered our entire family together at the beach in over 10 years! Amenities were first-rate and access to the beach was perfect for all, including grandparents and a 3-year-old! We hope to stay longer when we return. It was perfection - thank you so much!

The perfect place to enjoy the Coast

Such a perfect space, overlooking the Pacific coast. The home was spacious with every room and balcony offering fantastic views. The main upstairs bedroom is loft style, with no door (this was absolutley fine for us but wanted to mention for any others looking at this property). The communication with the property manager was great right from the start. We had a few small questions and requests during our stay and they accommodated us immediately. Overall amazing stay and would love to return again some day.

Perfect house.

There is not a single thing I would change about this place. It was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need, even a salad spinner. 3 different ways to make coffee! We loved watching the tides, being close to cannon beach, and prime hiking trails. Communication with property manager was top notch as well.

We loved our stay at this beach front home. The location is fantastick and offers beautiful views of the Ocean and coastline. The home itself was unexpectedly well equipped and comfortable. We would not hesitate a moment to book this property again!

Perfect getaway

Perfect weather for 5 days and no wind! The house was just as perfect. Simple access to the Long Beach. I loved that it’s at the south end so it feels like a small cape community. The beds were luxurious, the bbq so easy to use, kitchen appliances all lovely. The master suite is upstairs with a great deck to whale watch. A bed to die for and en-suite bath beautiful. I will definitely return if there is ever an opening. I imagine it’s quite popular.

Lush and zen

Sona tra is a magical place to stay. Beautiful views of the ocean, a generous outdoor space to enjoy, weather permitting, and comfortable interior for rainier days. Beds are comfortable, rooms are separate and therefore private, common areas are generous and comfortable, and kitchen is well-stocked. Extremely clean, easy check-in, and an out-of-the-way location. Absolute perfection!

Great winter trip

Great place to enjoy watching the weather when it was bad and get out and enjoy the beach in between. Wonderful having such a good kitchen to cook in for the week.

Amazing Stay

This is really an exceptional place, both in terms of location and property. The house is cozy and full stocked with lots of things you’ll need during your stay. We had a blast. Highly recommend. Would 100% stay here again. And thank you for being dog friendly! Couple of minor things for guests looking to book: - there is no door from the kitchen to the upstairs bedroom if you are going with guests fyi - 4p check in/10a check out is kind of tough - master bedroom gets much hotter than rest of the house - House could use a Bluetooth that isn’t so old ;)

Perfect location

Beautiful house with all the amenities you need. We went to celebrate my daughter’s 24th birthday and it had all the kitchen supplies to make a birthday cake, I have never been in a vacation home with that such great kitchen supplies. The mud room was fantastic for dogs, after a walk on the beach to clean them up. The location was quiet, peaceful and perfect.

Beautiful Views

Our stay was lovely at Arch Cape. Living room cozy and beds comfortable. We didn’t realize the kid’s room was in the basement, and because we have young kids, they felt safer sleeping with us. Otherwise a great experience enjoying the beach and beautiful views from the property.

Cute beach house and great location
