City Cottage- Welcome to our country cottage in the heart of the city! Come to the Mountains of Western North Carolina and enjoy this newly renovated old bungalow style house, located within a few blocks of Hendersonville’s fun & festive downtown. Offering a variety of great restaurants, shops, antique shops and art galleries, as well as live music and festivals throughout the year.Historic Flatrock is only 3 miles from this quaint, cozy, yet spacious cottage. 2 bedrooms, 1 king, 1 queen bed (New luxury beds and bedding). A fully equipped kitchen w/ necessities for preparing meals with friends & family. Watch a movie on the large 65” TV in the comfortable, open living room, with an electric fireplace adding warmth and ambiance. Conveniently and functionally planned right off of the kitchen is a beautiful outdoor patio with a smoker and propane grill, table and chairs for outdoor dining. Or enjoy rocking on the front porch taking in the sites.
A fabulous breakfast diner right across the street, an easy stroll to walk off that big breakfast!
Staying close or venturing out, you will find this cottage has ample comforts and options. Several cute little mountain towns within 20-30 minute drive. Brevard, Chimney Rock/Lake Lure, Columbus, Saluda and Tryon! WNC is NOT lacking in outdoor recreation either! Many parks, trails, waterfalls, whitewater rafting, Lazy tubing and zip lining all available close by. Come experience True Southern Hospitality at City Cottage!

Cute house - great location

The house was very cute. It is small but perfect for a small family. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was great - close to everything including downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Convenient and comfortable

Amber’s property was wonderful. Very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. It was also conveniently located to downtown Hendersonville and a short drive to the wineries. I would definitely stay here again!

Charming and Quaint

A very homy place! It was very clean and our dog loved the fenced in back yard. The road traffic was loud around the commute times.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was great across the street. Very comfortable queen bed. Fenced yard was great! pssst- vacuum under couch cusions.

The little blue cottage!

I had a wonderful stay in Amber’s cottage! It was so clean and cozy! During my stay it was pretty cold and the whole time I was warm and comfortable! Any questions were promptly answered! It’s in a central location and a short drive to anywhere you want to go! I would definitely stay here again!

Comfy Cozy

The property owner was a magnificent hostess. Very attentive to any concerns, a good communicator and personable. The property itself is very cozy and the owner very obviously has done everything to make sure your stay is comfortable and convenient. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay here again.

City Cottage

Stayed with my wife and daughter for a weekend of bike races in Jackson Park--extremely convenient and even safely rideable on the bikes. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Amber is an extremely responsive and friendly host. Urban location, but on a November weekend noise was not at all an issue. The backyard area is great, and, for those planning to bike, a great place for clean-up. Ideal for a family of 3-4.

Cozy stay

The house is quaint with everything you need. It’s in a convenient location, clean and newly renovated with a fenced yard for a pet. The king bed was comfortable. The owner was quick to respond with questions. For those not used to Urban life, the road noise can be loud if sitting in the back yard. The kitchen was well equipped. Great hiking is within 20 minutes. We would stay here again.

Spotless Property!

The home was extremely clean! We were very pleased with the presentation of the home. The location is very urban and noisy but convenient. The water could have been hotter but the stay was overall comfortable. The large yard was a welcomed feature. The bathroom features a walk in, accessible shower but no tub (not a defect but may be a feature depending on your needs). The host was lovely and very responsive!

We wanted a base for our twelve day kayaking, golfing, hiking and cultural activities in the Hendersonville- Asheville area. City Cottage was so central and so convenient. When we were ready to go we locked up and moved out.When we returned we could stop for groceries across the road and get the BBQ going. In the evenings we watched Netflix before turning in for the night on a most comfortable King Size bed. It really looks just like the pictures - a country cottage in the City. Thank you Amber for being so welcoming and helpful!
