Hello Tara, In the 5 years I’ve been renting to visiting families I have never had a complaint from the friendly retired couple that lives below my unit. Early in your stay, I got a call letting me know that the girls were dancing in what sounded to them like tap shoes. Since it was the first time I had to contact a renter with a complaint I wasn’t sure what to expect when I politely informed you, so I breathed a big sigh of relief when you agreed they were being loud, understood the complaint, and said that the dancing would stop. We had further pleasant communication throughout your stay and you gave no indication that you and your family were not fully enjoying yourselves—or that you would be giving our property a 2 Star review. I’m disappointed I wasn’t aware of your dissatisfaction or able to help improve your stay in some way—perhaps a dinner on us or some paid parking passes. Our renters have consistently conveyed that our condo is exactly as depicted and described in our listing. The deck is private as pictured. Only one other couple uses the outside stairs that lead to our unit and our table and chairs are tucked neatly on the end of the deck with a view toward the marsh. The ability to dine both indoors and on the deck is something our renters typically appreciate. Many couples sit out for coffee in the morning while their children enjoy sleeping in or watching cartoons. It’s actually difficult to see or hear the street from our end unit because of the green space and tree lined property depicted in our listing. The walk to the beach is not dangerous. Hundreds of summer visitors walk and bike it daily without issue. Many find it lovely to look for the growing oyster beds, ask the fisherman on the bridge what they’ve caught, and watch the heron and comerants in the marsh as they walk. However, if walking is not your thing, there is limited early morning free parking right at the beach or you can take the trolley that stops right near our condo. The walkability to Congdon’s, Varano’s, Mike’s, Billy’s, Horizon’s, the movie theater, grocery store, mini golf, arcade, ice cream, etc. is also highly appreciated by visitors. All of this information is in our listing description. I hope that you will one day return to visit Wells and that you find a place that better suits your family’s needs. Although it would come with a much higher price tag, perhaps a private home on the beach would better fit. Winter well! Sincerely, Sarah
