Venice Island is a beach community with charming old Florida style. There are various boutique stores and cafes. Right across the street is the Venetian waterway bike trail connecting to the Legacy trail to Sarasota. Beaches and downtown are a very short distance away. The island offers a relaxed island vibe, arts, culture and entertainment. The island boasts 15 miles of golf cart friendly streets, a jetty and pier which are known for their great fishing. Our favorite pastime is the world renowned shark tooth hunting on our sandy beach shores. The Island also contains a public golf course.
More specifics about the area: Venice Beach is 1.9 miles away. Quick commute on your bike, golf cart or by car. Downtown Venice is only 1.2 miles, filled with restaurants, shops, boutiques, specialty items stores, parks, entertainment and events, and lots of benches all around, to hang out and enjoy the culture and friendly vibe. Venice fishing pier and the well known Sharky’s restaurant on the pier is 2 miles, which is located right across the street from Venice Golf club, and near the Brochard paw park. Casperson Beach is only 3.6 miles away, world renowned for great shark tooth hunting, only a short 10 minute drive. Sarasota is an easy commute averaging about 15 minutes. Publix is at the end of the street, a few blocks away, with other shops in the mall. The Venetian waterway trail is right across the street from the front door, and connects to the Legacy trail. Venice is known for the miles of “award winning” trials offered, for biking, walking and running.
