Charming Wrigleyville Home Close to the Cubs!

Enjoy Chicago while staying in our private guest suite in a fantastic Wrigleyville location! We are the main residents of the property, and are excited to host you in our furnished guest space while you explore the city. Whether you are traveling for business or vacation, our private guest space has all you need to recharge and relax.

The space
There are 2 spacious bedrooms with queen mattresses, luxurious white sheets and plenty of pillows. The bathroom is gorgeous with new double-sinks, under-cabinet lighting and a massive spa-like shower. A convenient kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle & dishes/silverware!

Guest access
Please be advised there is no common area or living room in the space. However your unit is separate from the above units, with your own private, self-check-in entrance - so you can come and go as you please. Great patio space to enjoy as well!

Other things to note
The entrance to the unit is in the rear of the building, through the back door. To get there, you pass through a breezeway at the right side of the building. There are a few stairs down to get into the unit, but once you are inside, there aren't any stairs and the shower is a walk-in. You'll never have to worry about losing a key because the unit is accessed with a key code lock!

There is free parking in front of the house (first-come, first-serve), however, you can't park there after 6 pm. I am happy to offer you parking passes for after 6pm each day, just please ask in advance! I'll usually leave some in the unit, but just in case. Using the App Spot Hero will show you where to find the closest overnight parking at the lowest rate. It is also easy to hail an Uber/Lyft from the unit, as they are always nearby in the neighborhood and it is a short drive into downtown.

We live on the property and do our best to keep noise at a minimum, but you may hear some noise from time to time. We abide by our moderate cancellation policy. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.

The apartment was a great location and walkable to almost everything we needed. The parking passes allowed for parking in any residential parking area in Wrigleyville, which was nice.. The space little on the cold side but it’s in essence a basement. The space heaters helped take the chill off the room.

The only reason this review isn’t a 1 is the location. The location of the building is great. Communication with the host was terrible. I had to reach out to Vrbo customer service twice in order to get a response. The “apartment” is in the back of the house and couldn’t be accessed by anyone with any type of mobility issues. The host was supposed to leave parking passes for the permit only parking but they didn’t bring them until 9:30 pm on our arrival date. Fortunately we were not ticketed. There was no way to adjust the temperature in the place. It was cold through the entire stay. Very small heaters were provided but they did not produce enough heat to make much difference. The biggest complaint I have is that the bathroom door would not close completely. At 9:30 pm the day we arrived the host came by and jiggled and shoved (it was a sliding door) but didn’t fix. He mentioned coming by the next day and I told him we would be in and out but come in anytime. On Saturday afternoon (we had a Sunday morning check out) The host messaged that he might be able to fix the bathroom and provided his phone number. At this point this was of no use to us. Some things I should have noticed but that weren’t obvious in the description were there is no common space or living room. The amenities listed a kitchen and further down a kitchenette. There is a microwave and small fridge. Dishes had to be washed in bathroom. This place is a basic hotel without the niceties or conveniences.

I am giving this place a 5 star review for two main reasons. The host was very accommodating and easy to get a hold of which to me, is a big deal. Secondly, the neighborhood is amazing. The best part of Chicago!

Overall a good stay. Communication with owner went well . Appreciated early check in so we didn’t have to drag our luggage around the day we arrived. We were a little disconcerted that the only separation between us and the owner was a curtain. As two women traveling, this did not feel as secure as we would expect. Also surprised by no common sitting area. Just bedrooms, bathroom, coffee maker and microwave. The beds were comfortable and the space heaters provided a comfortable temperature.

We had a great stay at this cozy apartment in a beautiful neighborhood. Brian was helpful when I arrived and had trouble with the door. The location is fantastic, a short walk to Wrigley Field and, if you're up for it, a longer walk to the lakefront down Addison. In the opposite direction and steps away, there are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, a historic fine arts theater and shopping on Southport. Uncommon Ground on Clark Street has excellent food and drinks, kind servers and friendly patrons. The beds were comfortable with lots of extra blankets if you need them. We didn't use the coffee maker or teapot, but if you plan to do so, you might want to bring your own bottled water.

OK værelser, men ikke rent. Der var papir (serviet eller lign. Under sengen og det kunne ikke overses.) og meget nusset. Sengen så også ud til at være brugt. Krøllet lagen, med mørke hår. Pænt badeværelse. Lokationen vist på kort stemte ikke med den reelle adresse. (Jeg er lokalkendt, men da jeg først får en adresse efter booking, finder jeg, at det er på den anden side af Irving Park end markeringen viser. Matcher ikke prisen.

This placed worked perfectly for us. Great neighborhood, clean space, comfortable beds. Only critique was that in the rear bedroom on the first night, the tv from the home upstairs was kinda loud late. Aside from that, perfect stay- we’ll definitely book it again.

Stayed while in Chicago for baby shower. Neighborhood is great and good that parking passes were supplied. Big plus. Unit was as described. Only negative was steps on side of building - 3 steps down and then 3 steps up - no handrails. Also steps in back to get to back door - again no handrail. Doable but don’t like steps at my age and with hauling luggage into unit. Otherwise very nice experience.

Location was great. Easy access to everything we needed. Unit was quiet and bedrooms were good for sleeping.Unit could have been cleaner. TV mount was broken. Electrical socket behind beds did not look safe.

I would give this a 4.5. Zero issues with check-in and communication, unit was very clean and all true to photos. Was thrilled that we were able to get two residential parking passes. Reiterating that there is no common seating area, if that matters (it did not for us). The shower is incredible. The location is great, within walking distance to so much! Caution: steps to access the unit (on the side and to enter the unit) might make it a challenge for those with mobility issues.

top-notch location, comfortable beds

if you're seeking a one or two-night stay a few blocks from Wrigley Field, consider this garden/basement apartment. It's quiet, provides enough amenities for overnight stays and the owner can arrange for parking (which is extremely tricky for non-residents in Wrigleyville). While there are two, separate bedrooms, the space between them, where the 'kitchen' resides, functions as more of a hallway. Go Cubs!

Chicago has been home for nearly 15 years, and I still get excited about it. I work in the creative world — film, storytelling, and brand projects — so I see the city as a backdrop full of character. It’s gritty, funny, bold, and welcoming… kind of like the people here.

I love comedy, sports, lakefront biking, volleyball summers and a good slice of thin crust with Tabasco sauce (trust me).

Hosting is my way of sharing the Chicago I know and love. I’m happy to point you toward neighborhood favorites, hidden gems, or the classic must-sees. My goal is simple: make your stay easy, comfortable, and memorable.

But what I really love is that it’s more than just the ballpark. You’ve got the historic Wrigley Field right here, the charm of Music Box Theatre for classic films and indie screenings, and some of my favorite restaurants and cafés lining Southport Corridor.

And when you need a breather from the buzz? Lake Michigan is just minutes away. Morning or evening walks by the water hit different here.

It’s the perfect mix of excitement and neighborhood charm.

You’re not going to find many places this close to Wrigley Field at this price...especially on a quiet one-way street. That’s the sweet spot.

You’re steps from the action, but when you’re ready to relax, you’ve got calm, cozy space waiting for you in walking distance. Comfortable rooms, a spacious shower (because details matter), and a great patio to enjoy during Chicago summers.

It’s the best of both worlds: energy when you want it, peace when you don’t.
