Pup Friendly Condo Steps from Driftwood Beach!

Bring the pups and relax to the sounds of waves crashing just steps from your door! A quick five-minute walk to the world-famous Driftwood Beach (ranked the #1 beach in the US by Travel Guide), the Tipsea Turtle is a dog-friendly two-story condo with two bedrooms and one bathroom located on the second floor. Beautiful views of the gorgeous green space with walking trails from the primary bedroom, open kitchen, and spacious living room make it feel like you're somewhere tropical.

The Tipsea Turtle is our home away from home, and we hope you love it as much as we do. We think Jekyll Island is one of the most beautiful spots in the US, and we've done our best to make your stay a vacation you won't want to leave (but please do! We like to go there, too....but you're always welcome back!)

Our two-bedroom, one-bath condo has been thoughtfully furnished to provide maximum flexibility and comfort for couples, friends, or families looking to enjoy all the nature and amenities the island has to offer. The main living space is on the ground level and features a full kitchen and open floor plan that takes advantage of views of the incredible greenspace on the property. It's the perfect area to walk right out the back door and onto the pathways for a quick walk with the pups. Our dogs absolutely love it!

Both bedrooms and the only bathroom are located on the second floor. The primary bedroom has a private balcony looking over the greenspace, and the second bedroom features a full-size / twin bunk combo and a desk with a monitor. From the desk, you have the slightest view of the ocean, but it's there! The bathroom is located in the hallway at the top of the stairs.

NOTE THAT THIS IS A DOG-FRIENDLY HOME! Our cleaners are top-notch and work very hard to return the unit to mint condition after each stay, but if you own dogs, then you know there is really no such thing as achieving "zero reminder of dogs" status, so if the occasional missed dog hair is going to ruin your stay, this might not be the one for you. No hard feelings.

We think the location of the unit is phenomenal. Walking out the front or back door will put you just a few short steps away from the volleyball court and beach access boardwalk, which has a private gazebo for resort guests and multiple Adirondack and rocking chairs overlooking the ocean. Please be aware that this part of Jekyll has a rock wall that protects the dunes during high tide. There is a beach area inside the rock wall, but ocean access requires going over the rock wall from the gazebo area (see aerial photo). Driftwood Beach is stunning and can be accessed directly from the property, which is less than a five-minute walk from the front door.

******NOTE****** Due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene, the walkovers to the lower beach are currently inaccessible. The full beach can be accessed by walking to Driftwood Beach or taking a short stroll or bike ride down to the main public beach area. ******

Walking from the front door across the parking lot will land you at the pool, which is open year-round and features a sun deck and ample seating. Next to the pool is the famous Driftwood Restaurant with a full bar and fantastic food.

Additionally, multiple grilling stations are nearby, two different laundry facilities are just a few steps away (there is not a washer and dryer in the unit), a fitness center, and a business center are all available for your use.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, but there are spaces directly in front of the door.
