This rental property was a huge disappointment. The pictures advertised show a dated, yet cottage-style beach house. However, the pictures advertised were extremely misleading. The rooms were not decorated as shown in the pictures, and the entire house had chipped paint, broken furniture, and damaged (cheap) shades (tough to enjoy the view when the shade doesn't go up). The deck was not safe when we arrived (heads of nails sticking up), and many of the outlets were held together with electrical tape. Almost all appliances were operated off of cords plugged into extension cords. To operate the TV in the kids bunk room, the cord had to be run across the room to a wall outlet, causing concern that our children would trip or get hurt (not to mention our ongoing concern of an electrical fire with all of the cords and damaged outlets). The kitchen was filled with dirty dishes and utensils and there were pest traps throughout the house. There were even holes in some of the flooring and walls. The location of this house was the one saving grace, as it was literally steps from the beach. Other than location, the price of this rental does nowhere nearly reflect the quality of the property.
