I am though quite shocked by the cleanliness comments, as this property as well as all my properties I take great pride in ensuring they are clean and well prepared for each guest. Any issues that are not up to my standards I wish would have been communicated upon your arrival and I would have ensured it would have been immediately resolved. This property has never had a negative review on VRBO or any other rental site I use. All comforters and pillow shams were laundered 3-4 days prior to your arrival and the condo has never had a smoker in there, nor the guests before or after your stay have ever made comments indicating any issues with a smokey smell. Upon visiting the current renters staying here yesterday they commented how clean and comfortable everything is, so I am just taken aback by this review. I apologize if your stay was not as you anticipated and I hope you return to Hilton Head again soon. Hello Margaret, we are very sorry to see you were disappointed. We take the cleanliness and condition or our vacation rentals very seriously and are surprised to hear about your issues. As you are aware, we did have an issue with a leak under the sink in the kitchen which we responded to immediately and had it repaired. I personally came to the unit to meet you and while I was there you made no mention of the other issues. The appliances have some blemishes but none of them are non-functional. As for the deck, it is always cleaned off and prepared for each guest's visit. We appreciate your feedback and your business and post the following notice in all of our properties for the concerns you have voiced. Be assured, we would have been happy to resolve any perceived issues as soon as we were made aware. Since you stayed in the unit for six weeks and did not notify us of any other concerns we assumed you were enjoying your visit. Overall we are disappointed with your review as we were very attentive to all of your requests. Not only were we very attentive, but in your own words from the text you sent me the next day; "Thank you very much for all of your help on Sunday. It made a huge difference in our enjoyment of our place." Not only did you express your appreciation, we provided you with a generous appeasement for your perceived issues. After you left, one of the members of your party sent me another text asking me what kind of bed they had been sleeping on because they wanted to get one for their home. Doesn't sound like a terrible experience to me. Members of your party commented on the positive reviews the property has received. Those reviews both before and after your stay do not indicate the level of dissatisfaction that you expressed. As for the soft spots in the floor they have been repaired and will no longer be an issue, as has the ceiling fan which experienced issues during your stay. It seems that no matter what we did for you it would not have been enough. And its also interesting that your negative review appeared the day after you requested further remuneration from us. While we did not review you as a guest, I would express caution for anyone that you book with in the future.
