Welcome to 'No Place Like Home' where you can enjoy true tranquility w/in 15 min of Manhattan, KS off a paved road.

With no other homes in sight, trees a-plenty, lake view & windows galore, this home will put you at ease. Recently remodeled giving you the modern farmhouse feel. Large living areas & plenty of bedrooms make this a comfortable gathering place! See last photo to view layout.

We have stocked the home w/ everyday needs-including kiddo/family friendly products (plates, toys, swing set etc.)

From the moment you arrive, this home stands out. A charming limestone walkway leads you in, where you’ll immediately notice the custom touches—live-edge accents, stunning wood beams, and a bright, oversized living space designed for gathering.

Inside, comfort meets convenience. Relax on plush reclining sofas with built-in USB chargers, enjoy movie nights on the Roku TV, or gather around the spacious dining area with a dedicated beverage bar. The fully stocked kitchen (yes—kid-friendly too) features quartz countertops, an eating bar, and easy access to main-level laundry.

Great family gathering location with all the fun nearby for lake activities and off-roading and dining in Manhattan. We liked finding all the Easter eggs that matched the home’s theme. Good parking too.

We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone. Beds were clean and comfortable, bathrooms were clean and an added bonus—boxes of tissues in almost every room! The deck was perfect for morning coffee chats and we had a great time playing games at the larger table.

Gorgeous area just outside of town!

We loved our stay here! Enough room for two families to spread out and so many things for the kids to explore. My beds were comfy, and everything was cleaned and fully stocked. A great place to stay for a Manhattan area weekend!

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed the views! The house was cozy and comfy. The open space was great for my son and husband to throw the baseball. Great spot for our wkd getaway with our family. The communication with the host was exceptional.

Great large family getaway

We really enjoyed our weekend at this beautiful home. There were plenty of comfortable beds and two well stocked bathrooms. The entertainment space was great for a small graduation party we had for our daughter. It is the perfect spot for a larger family.

We had an excellent! Summer was fantastic and very responsive, providing everything we needed. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. We did have a small issue with the shower drain; however, Summer responded quickly and corrected the issue the next day. The house was a little out of the way, but I enjoyed every minute. I would love to stay here again!

Relaxing Stay

Nestled in trees, quiet, peaceful area. Loved the hammocks under the trees! The lake can be seen through the trees, but no close access to the water. Kitchen had everything needed. Plenty of clean towels & paper goods. Bedding was clean and comfy. Enjoyed all the windows and the view. It was enjoyable to on the deck. Great weekend stay with girlfriends!

Perfect Planning Place

The offerings in this beautiful home were perfect for our needs of seclusion and ability to maintain a constant working space for a leadership retreat. The aesthetics of the house were warm and inviting. Just wish we had more time to explore the grounds, but the views from inside were stunning. This is a must stay for future retreats.

Exactly as Expected

Very well appointed with plenty of space for everyone. We very much enjoyed the exterior beauty of the home and experienced the wildlife that roamed the property. Nightly visits from the bard owl was amazing!

Lovely, secluded property

We enjoyed our stay so much. The property has a beautiful view of Tuttle Creek Lake, but it is quiet and serene. We never heard any of the neighbors. And it was a short drive into Manhattan. The house was perfect for our stay with a lot of room for all that we did. And the Wizard of Oz touches really added to our stay!

Spring Break trip

This house and property were great for our family to get away for a Spring Break trip. There was plenty of room to relax and play. The location was peaceful, and we enjoyed watching the birds, turkeys, and deer. The kids especially loved the art room and the bunkbed room. The host was very kind and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Overall, great trip!

Our stay at Summer’s property was perfect for our trip. A small hiccup with the fans and lights not working in one bedroom was our only issue but communication with summer was prompt and helpful. Otherwise everything was great!

Weekend Stay

Our family enjoyed staying here. We were in Manhattan to attend our son's graduation. We had plenty of space and spent most of our time outside on the deck. The house was welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook and grill our meals. Summer was easy to communicate with and flexible with us on check in. We hope to stay again.

Great time

We had a group of six adults for a 2-night retreat. The property owners were very easy to work with and very responsive to our request for an earlier check in time. The property is located in a very quiet area with a great view of the lake. The owners had the house well stocked with just about every amenity you could imagine. We enjoyed the large dining room table where we could all gather and there was plenty of comfortable seating to watch tv and talk. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay!

Private and Peaceful

My husband and I came to town to visit my son. We enjoyed our stay. Very private and peaceful. We loved watching the deer and squirrels and went on several walks. Wished we would have stayed when the weather was warmer. The house had everything we needed and Summer was cery responsive. It took about 15 minutes to get to nearby restaurants and stores.

I am also a local realtor and have lived nearly my entire life in this community. My husband is a handyman and a KAD. We are your one-stop shop for all your Manhattan housing needs. Customer service is my specialty. Ask me anything!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We were fortunate enough to purchase this property late in 2021 from a family who built this home from a 1 room cabin with hardly any trees around to what it is today. We appreciated all the details and unique parts of this home and renovated it to todays style while preserving much of what this house is about. We still have more we want to give to this house, especially on the outdoors (trails through the woods, a pumpkin patch, reviving the orchard and sealing up the small pond). We will hopefully get to all of that within the next year. So- stay tuned. This ones only going to get better!
