Relaxing cliff side stay

We enjoyed the decks, private pool, and ocean views every day and were lulled to sleep by the crashing waves each evening.

3 glorious weeks by the water!

We're former STX residents/VRBO owners. Spent a lot of our time at Oceans at Cane Bay mesmerized by the proximity to the waves/wildlife/boat traffic. Balcony views looked & sounded like being on a cruise ship! Kat -the local property manager- responded quickly prior to & during our stay. We recommended a few kitchen supply additions, and were told the items are already on order! The new owner (booking transferred to them in Oct'24) seems to be actively making improvements & upgrades to the experience. Beach chairs, coolers, a pool float (much needed-the pool is very deep!), toiletries, limited paper products, dish soaps were all provided. This reduced our anticipated on-island expenditures. An amenity not listed is an automatic-transfer generator that powers the whole house during a power outage. Some advisories: 4-door Jeep did not fit in gated parking area - we were aware of this possibility and parked across street. No AT&T signal at the house (or within a 5 minute drive in either direction - so program GPS inside house!). Not sure for other US carriers, and could change in future. Liberty -a local carrier- is making 5G improvements across island. It was a slight inconvenience for us, as there was a wi-fi stability issue on the lower level of the house, which the owners are actively working to remedy. Upstairs & on pool deck we had no problem using wi-fi enabled calling and TV streaming services. We are already considering returning next year, and we highly recommend!

Great view and relaxation at its best!

This is a great place to stay! I really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching and listening to the waves coming in. The Landing Beach Bar was right down the road and the restaurant at Ama at Cane Bay was close by also. The Beach was close by and easily accessible, the communication with the property manager was great and it was a great relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that is looking to relax while enjoying a great view!

Beautiful property overhanging the ocean. Amazing view and in a great location within walking distance of Cane Bay. Our contact Kat was great, and we would definitely consider returning.

Great home base for a relaxed trip!

The house was great and as described. Kitchen was good to cook in, and the new owner has improved the bar seating setup mentioned in prior reviews. The outdoor space is a nice extension of the living space and got a ton of use. We also appreciated the beach gear - snorkels, chairs, etc - as we explored the island.

Great view but ...

I must say that the view is great. I took several photos and videos of the waves crashing the rocks below. The listing pictures do not show the actual size of the living area. The living/dining area is quite small. The furniture is too large for the floor space. The dining table is against the wall with little room to pull it out for better seating. The kitchen island has four unnecessary bar stools because the eating area is about four inches deep. The bedrooms are a good size but with no place to hang your clothes. The master bedroom bed was very low, not easy for seniors to enter the bed. Parking was across the road but because of a large pothole, traffic slowed in front of the house. The four of us enjoyed our week's visit to St. Croix but would not rent this home again. It would be acceptable for a 2 to 3-day stay.

Awesome Views

My husband and I booked a short 3 night stay in March. There are so many positives to this property. This home is just as beautiful as the pictures show. This well equipped home was very spacious and has amazing views. We were able to enjoy the ocean breezes and breathtaking views while having breakfast on one of the three balconies. We could have easily shared this home if we had been traveling with friends. There are two nearly identical bedrooms/baths, both with balconies with gorgeous views. The large kitchen and living area offer everything you could want to make your stay comfortable. Aside from the positives, we had one negative. One of the reasons we booked this particular property was for the pool. We knew it was a small pool, but just looked forward to enjoying a dip while enjoying the views. We were very disappointed to find the pool very dirty when we arrived. (It was green and murky) The water level was lower than it should be which also looked like it had been neglected. We immediately contacted the host only to be told someone would come to look at it on the third day. Even then, it was not suitable for use. I'm assuming and hoping it was thoroughly cleaned before the next guests arrived, but we were sad not to have this amenity. After contacting the manager about this on the day of our arrival, we didn't have any more communications or correspondence with our host/manager.

Truth in advertising!

I didn't think that this property could live up to the description and pictures -- but it did! The house was incredibly comfortable and functional and the views were unbeatable. The location is close enough to the Cane Bay buzz to be fun but completely private and quiet when it was time to go home -- the only noises were the crashing waves and the birds. We would love to come back.

Wonderful trip for our anniversary

Beautiful property with two large bedrooms, well stocked kitchen and small plunge pool. It would have been perfect for two couples with the bedrooms on separate floors. Large balconies off the bedrooms to enjoy the ocean view. In a quiet part on the north side of the island but still close to everything. Super glad we had an escort to get to the property day 1. It would have been hard to navigate, plus it was pouring rain. Our only minor issue regarding internet was resolved right away.

A lovely property with amazing views.

We truly enjoyed staying at this property and would like to return in the near future. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen and baths are well maintained. The furnishings where comfortable. The pool is small but deep and always cool and refreshing. The beach is probably a minutes car ride. It has lovely shade trees, a nice reef for snorkeling and restaurants to walk to for drinks and snacks. Don't miss dinner at AMA's at sunset. It is bit pricey, but I enjoyed the best tenderloin I have ever had. We have been to many of the Caribbean islands over the years but this is on the list for one of our favorites.

Cane Bay Area - North side St. Croix

Central location was perfect for our ability to get to the east or west side of the island. We have been to St. John USVI previously and St. Croix USVI is substantially larger. Kitchen and common area were great for our group. Kitchen layout worked very well for meal prep as we ate in a great deal during the stay. Well stocked with multiple place settings and cups so we did not have to run the dishwasher at all till the last day. Deck and pool area were smaller than visualized in the photos but worked well for the stay. The Home literally is right on the water - views were stunning. with the sound of the pounding surf a nice reminder we are on vacation!

PEACE, Peace, peace,

This is a completely secure property with a remote control gate, total privacy, and a non-stop opportunity to sit and watch the surf wash up onto the rocky shore below you while looking out at the blue sea. The beach is very close, as are several restaurants and bars. All the modern amenities are here and the property manager was very patient in waiting for us as our flight arrival was delayed several times. He met us at the airport, guided to a market and then gave an orientation at the home. We were also easily able to contact the owner, Alan, as needed, who was helpful and gracious. We’d stay here again if we make it back to St. Croix.

Beautiful location

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Host was very responsive. The house was very hot upn arrival. We were told the AC was broken, but would be fixed. It took 2 days and the owner did credit us for one night for the inconvenience. There was also no propane, so we were unable to make breakfast . That was corrected as well. The parking is beyond tight. You can barely back a 2 door jeep into the tiny space. There is space on the road to park, but I would not advise doing that. Our rental car was hit during the night and had right fender damage. We were able to get a new rental car withinimal hassle. It would also be helpful if the owner left a House instructions book. Check in/out information. Trash day, pool etc. But he did communicate check out policy though VRBO, but I really did want the bother of having to check my phone. The view was spectacular. The pool. Was great, however by the end of our stay it was looking a bit dirty so we didn't use it. I Overall an excellent vacation. We would stay again.

Oceanview at Canebay

We had a wonderful time in Saint Croix, even after being delayed 2 days because of hurricane Fiona. The host was very easy to work with and allowed us to adjust our stay. We had a greater meet us outside of the airport to the grocery store then to the Villa. A couple of snags with the central AC and gas not working, but there was fans and a portable AC and 2 burner electric stove top to accommodate us and the host was awesome in trying to get it fixed. The house views and infinity pool was our highlight plus the great weather! It was very quiet this time of year and was disappointed with Christiansted and Frederiksted (except for The Fred outdoor bar). Canebay is very small but walking distance. The roads are narrow with no sidewalks, but plenty of huge potholes, so be aware when driving. At night, the mosquitoes are bad. We were also delayed1 day going home due to hurricane Ian, but the host was great and allowed us another day vs having to find a hotel. Great trip overall!

Cane Bay Getaway

I love the northside of the island and this is the perfect location. Seclusion close to everything in Cane Bay, so nice to come back and relax after a day of driving around the island. Well maintained property. Would stay here anytime!

Great place to stay in St. Croix

Everything was as described. We were walking distance from Cane Bay Beach and the restaurants therein. We ate at Ama, The Landing, Off the Wall and the breakfast truck and all were good. Ama is a little higher end but definitely our favorite. The rental was as advertised with 2 master suites each with their own bath and balcony. The pool is small but well maintained and we used it frequently. We were impressed with the amount of snorkel equipment in the downstairs closet,, including fins.. Hosts were responsive and made sure we got there from the airport and even took us to grocery shop. Definitely recommend this place just for the views alone.
