We loved Casa Sandy. Location was great. Nice and quiet. Close to amenities and restaurants. We enjoyed having our own pool. Washer, dryer and dishwasher available.We needed more bottled water. It was delivered quickly. After a week, someone came and cleaned, changed the sheets and washed towels.

The house has wonderful Mexican decor and charm.The pool was a nice size for three couples. The bbq area was a nice place to relax and a good bbq. Lots of wine glasses, glasses, flatware, pots and dishes. A little gecko enjoys hiding in the lock box daily. The host would respond to questions or requests in a timely manner and maintenance Baldo worked effectively. Only 2 tvs ( if you enjoy privacy and tv at end of evening). Housekeeping came in weekly. It was nice to have access to the washer and dryer. It is a cute home.

Case Sandy is a beautiful old school Mexican home but it has some issues. Some of these include: exposed electrical wiring in the living room area; inadequate cooling throughout the home with the exception of the BRs; multiple items that need repair or replacement such as screens, living room couch, Master BR shower “C” tap, etc. We have stayed at many vacation rentals in the past and we are aware that we shouldn’t expect back home residential standards in Mexico. We are ok with this. However, Casa Sandy needs more than the normal level of TLC required in rentals elsewhere. On the plus side Casa Sandy is close to a large grocery store, good restaurants, and beautiful beaches.Our biggest problems relate to Casa Sandy’s property management company. Some issues include that on check in day we were supposed to meet to with a “designated host” based on messages they had sent. No host arrived or contacted us to tell us that this wasn’t going to happen. We eventually let ourselves in after the 3:00 pm checkin time and found a cleaning lady inside cleaning. She was polite and told us the host was late but was coming to see us. She left 30 minutes later but no host ever arrived. A load of wet laundry was left in the dryer which we dealt with. No explanation was given for these things. On departure day they also charged us extra to leave 1 hour late. No leeway was given. Unimpressed. In sum Casa Sandy has tons of potential but it is unlikely that we would go back.

Beautiful House in need of a little TLC
The Villa was really a lovely house with three spacious bedrooms, two spacious full baths and a nice half bath. The pool was beautiful – always clean with cold water. And the top balcony was spectacular with beautiful views.Unfortunately, there were some little things that needed improvement.For example, there was a grill outside, but the lights that were over the grill didn’t work. And then I discovered that the grill itself did not work because the battery needed to be replaced in the starter. There was also no lights outside in the eating area so we were not able to eat any dinners out there because the sunset at 7 o’clock.There were a total of three iron gates in the property. One was on the sidewalk on the exterior which needed to be locked and unlocked with one key. The other two gates were in the house and were accessible through unlocking unlocking those as well. One of the gates did not have a key at all and so we never were able to unlock that gate, which was right next to the dining area. The third gate had a separate key that unlocked unlocked that key. That’s the gate that went out to the patio area with no lights, but had an outdoor eating area. I was constantly trying to navigate which key went into what lock. All they had to do was to put one marker on the key that was for the front gate and then I would know that was for the front and the other key was for the side gate. But they weren’t marked. It became ridiculously frustrating.
