What a lovely getaway to port bay. This cottage is located on a beautiful, quiet, and scenic bay. The back sunroom overlooks the bay and provides easy access to the bay and dock. Very cute town nearby. Easy access to main lake and boat ramp from the dock, less than a mile. Inside accomodations are clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed and had a truly wonderful experience. Thank you.

There was only couches and hard kitchen chairs to sit on. A couple of easy chairs would have been nice. Could not find a pairing knife and there was not enough tops to fit the most used pots and pans. The TV only had Roku and it would have been nice to get some local news channels. On the good side the lay out of the cottage was excellent for the two of us and was very clean. The host {Ashely} was very helpful when we had any questions and nice to talk with.

Being in this cottage was like stepping back in time. Life was slower. Naps were taken. (By adults-not kids. ) Entertainment was playing games, and dishes were washed, dried, and put away by hand. Our visit was to come from SC to Wolcott to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. It was a wonderful time of spending time together. The lake view was a great backdrop for lots of photos.Cottage was clean. Beds comfortable. Sheets & blankets were so pretty and soft. One thing I didn’t realize is that the town of Wolcott is bigger than I thought it was and there’s not a regular grocery store nearby. Bring what you think you’ll need to eat. Cookware & dishes are plentiful, though, so if you have the food, you won’t have any trouble preparing it.The host was quick to answer any questions that we had. She allowed us to bring our two small dogs and they thought this was the vacation from heaven. We appreciated her consideration for letting us have a few extra family members come by for our birthday gathering. And we’ll definitely go there again.By the way, if you happen to be there on a Sunday morning, check out North Wolcott Christian Church. People were friendly and welcoming.

Peaceful Cottage on the Water

Nice quiet neighborhood and relaxing couple of days. We were able to see the aurora borealis while we were there, which made our stay even more special. Chimney Bluffs State Park is just a short trip away and is a great hike with fantastic views! Looking forward to returning next year!

Second stay at the cottage

The property is great. We stayed there last September and had to go back. Ashley is a great host. Cottage is very clean, stocked with everything one would need during a stay. Fishing is great, and the use of the canoe and kayaks is a huge plus. Neighbors are quiet and the house is in a private, not busy area. We enjoyed our stay and plan to go back again soon.

Cute cottage on the bay

We overall enjoyed our stay. It was a bit chilly as it only has a couple of electric heaters but it was okay. Pretty comfortable overall. Could use a few more kitchen utensils and better knives but it worked for a couple of days.

Nice, one floor cottage. Kitchen had many items to cook and bake with. Lots of blankets and heaters if needed. Some items in the outdoor deck box to make a fire for s'mores. Will need kindling in the future. The view was beautiful! Mattresses were nice and we all slept well! Quiet because we went off season. Would definitely come back! Messages were answered quickly!
