My favorite thing to do there was walk on the cool tile at night, lie by the pool, and gaze up at the stars. So peaceful. The beds were comfy and the home is very well maintained. Tips for travelers: Rent a car on St. John in advance. Get to the beaches early to secure a parking place. Visit the Windmill restaurant for amazing views. Take a sunset cruise. It's easy to book one that leaves from the Westin. Pack light -- it's very warm there. And bring anti-itch spray for any bug bites. At the house itself we encountered no bugs -- it's at the top of a hill, so the breeze really helps. But prices are high on the island, so it's good to come prepared :) Catered to was very helpful.

Reviewer Comments: This was our second time vacationing at Estate Rose (this time bringing our adult children and their partners), and our experience exceeded our expectations.The property is very clean, very well maintained and VERY beautiful. The property management team was available if needed and checked in a few times during our two week stay to ensure all was well. Between the pool area, the hot tub, the main house, the private sleeping quarters, and the accompanying grounds, there is so much space on the estate for 8 adults to both spend time together but also have opportunities to find spots for quiet time. There are resident lizards and iguanas who we all delighted in spending time with without being overbearing :-)At every turn, Estate Rose offers stunning vistas of Chocolate Hole, Great Cruz Bay, the Carribean Sea, lush gardens and the hills of St. John. Being able to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets from any one of the lanai's/porches was another delight. Estate Rose is a very special place and we feel fortunate to have spent important family time together there.There are so many stunning beaches and hikes to enjoy on St. John and Estate Rose provided a calm and relaxing home to return to after a day away exploring. In addition, the kitchen and grilling amenities were spectacular; every tool needed was found. This is not usually the case for house rentals and for this group of cooks and so it was much appreciated and commented on.When you visit St. John and Estate Rose make sure to plan a special evening at Zo-ZO's restaurant in Caneel Bay. Expect an experience that is unforgettable.20/10 rating

Amazing Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this gorgeous place due to all the wonderful amenities, and its proximity to town, and it did not disappoint. A representative met us close by after we got our rental car, and we followed her to the property so that she could give us a tour and answer any questions we had. The property has everything you need and more, and the owners even allowed you to use their laundry detergents, and other supplies that we would normally had to have bought in other stays. The pool is huge, and the views at sunset are incredible. We loved having dinner out at the pool, and enjoyed many cups of coffee at sunrise. We have older/adult children, so the separate access to bedrooms worked great for us. Loved that the kitchen/main rooms were separate so that early risers didn’t wake up the whole house. The property is huge and very private. There’s a separate lot that adjoins this property that would be great for a volleyball sand pit or any outdoor sports. There were corn hole boards set up there, but it looked like previous guests had maybe had a little too much fun with them, and they were trashed. Other than that, everything was top notch and we have it booked again for 2024! Can’t wait!

Beautiful views

Beautiful spot with great views. The outdoor space is amazing with many great sitting areas. 3 buildings- great room and kitchen, 3 bedrooms with a bonus room underneath and a separate cottage w bedroom and kitchen. Pool is amazing. Holds 4 couples well. Has 8 beach chairs and nice beach towels. It is a bit dated indoors, however. The cabinet woodwork is a bit worn and some refresh of some pots and pans would be nice. FYI - The video on the site is old - no roulette wheel or treadmill anymore. Although the great room furniture is really nice and new as of 2021. The staff is super friendly and everything was very clean. Had good amount of leftover spices and olive oil from previous renters.

The grounds of the property are some of the prettiest we have ever seen. The views off of both sides of the house are breathtaking. The house is absolutely gorgeous and is worth every penny. Everything was very well taken care of, the house was very clean, the pool and hot tub and the grounds work exquisite. I would like to say that everybody should have the opportunity to stay here, but then the secret would be out.Highly recommend this Villa and Catered To Vacations. The property was beautiful, well-located, well-maintained, and with a great layout that allowed everyone to be social or not as they preferred. The views from the villa were stunning. It was the perfect home base to return to after a day of enjoying all the island has to offer - and for staying in when we needed a break from activities. We especially enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen and grill, cooking the majority of our meals during our stay. We've rented a number of properties during our travels and this is one of the best we've experienced.Thank you to the staff at Catered To for being responsive and helpful as we got ready for the trip and arrived on the island.While we were there, we had a number of wonderful adventures - from two days of boat charters for snorkeling and exploring the islands (highly recommend Big Blue Excursions); to wonderful meals at Mango Mikes, Shaibu's Garden Oasis, and Lovango Beach Club; to hiring a local taxi driver for a tour of the island (Kadija was a fantastic guide!).All in all it was a perfect week that went by far too quickly. We can't wait to return!

60th BD Trip

Our friends and us rented Estate Rose for a week stay in April to celebrate us all turning 60 this year! The place was fabulous and even better than described in the listing! If there was a downfall it would be having to take a taxi everywhere since we didn’t rent a car. However, not sure I would want to drive as the roads are very hilly and quite narrow! Overall though, it was a great trip!!

A wonderful time long in coming .

But this time meant so much toys for several reasons . We had originally booked Estate Rose in 2017 for March 2018 . Then came the Hurricane , the owners of this property were kind enough to allow us to change our reservation to March 2019 . Five days prior to our booking ,I go for an elective catherization and land up with a triple bypass . Once again , CateredTo and the owners were considerate beyond our expectations. Finally March 2020 ,we're on St John . The island and it's residents have bounced back tremendously . We were so happy to see the resilience of a proud people and a wonderful environment . Estate Rose was the sweetest surprise. Perfect locaticn, great grounds,plantings and bird life, the best pool on St John . Great furnishings , comfortable bed rooms, and a steady breeze . Even , a resident iguana . Thanks so much for sharing your villa . God willing , we will be back .

"Catered to Vacation Homes" Best Villa!

This was our second year at Estate Rose, this time with kids and grand kids. Beautiful site, with views of three bodies of water from the back patio. Beautiful lap pool, great hot tub enjoyed by all 8 of us. Easy access to Cruz Bay and non-challenging driveway round out the amenities! We recommend "The Longboard Restaurant" in Cruz Bay."Catered to", went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Only a few minor maintenance issues like non-working ice maker marred an otherwise absolutely perfect stay!

Wonderful Vacation!

Our group of 6 had a wonderful vacation at Estate Rose. Mark was very helpful answering our questions prior to arrival and making plans to get us to the house upon our arrival. The view at Estate Rose was perfect in all directions and the location was very close to downtown. The Westin is a short walk away and we booked a private charter with Captain Dan from there which met all of our expectations and more. This walk was also convenient when we needed a taxi if our other taxi driver, Mario, was not available which was not often. We cooked every morning and most nights at the house and the kitchen has everything needed including most spices. We went to all markets and would recommend Starfish Market because they had everthing. The house is very private and the layout is great for groups. We would definitely book this house again through Mark and his staff.

Fabulous property!

Estate Rose is so gorgeous, I almost don't want to tell anyone - this property books fast and it should :). The property itself was well laid out, allowing for lots of quiet moments away from the group, yet, the group spaces worked perfectly. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could need to cook a gourmet meal or mix the perfect drink. The bedrooms were spacious and the grounds beautiful. Having a 'media' / game room was just what we needed for the kids in the heat of the day. Most of all, Mark and his team at Seaview Vacations were so easy to work with and responded immediately to any small tweak that may have been needed. We wanted to book for the same weeks next year, but it's already booked! If you can get one, make a booking now! You won't be disappointed.
