Un dosel de roble vivo da una sensación de casa en el árbol a lo largo de esta encantadora y céntrica casa de 2 pisos en la hermosa costa cultural de Florida. A minutos del centro de la ciudad y de cada uno de los Cayos Lido y Siesta, puede acceder a playas de clase mundial, al corazón del distrito de teatro y artes, restaurantes y el estilo de vida que puso a Sarasota en el mapa. Esta casa tiene una piscina soleada y un amplio patio con barbacoa y amplios asientos para reuniones familiares.

Las cuatro habitaciones están bellamente decoradas con el maestro de la planta baja, una romántica reina con dosel, el segundo dormitorio con dos camas individuales. Arriba encontrará una gran suite principal con una cama king size y el cuarto dormitorio tiene una cama de nogal antigua de tamaño completo. Cada habitación tiene obras de arte de Sarasota que muestran la belleza de las puestas de sol y la costa.

La cómoda sala de estar tiene un ventanal que da a un amplio jardín delantero que accede a Arlington Park, un parque arbolado de roble vivo con una pista de media milla, instalaciones de piscina olímpica, canchas de tenis, racquetball y baloncesto al aire libre.

La cocina totalmente equipada, el comedor separado, dos baños completos, vestidores y lavandería hacen de este hogar un excelente refugio para una escapada o una estadía prolongada.

Gracious cancellation

Kim was very gracious in allowing the cancellation of a booking which was made under the duress of being stranded from a different booking. So, while we did not stay at the property, the owner was very kind and professional.

Great Stay

We stayed over Christmas break to visit with family, we were 5 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog. The space was ample. There is a park with a dog park at the end of the block. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is very close to everything. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location close to the hospital!

Not far from the beach. It was a good place to stay by the hospital and beach. There were a few things that were not ideal. King Bed was collapsing in the middle and very uncomfortable. Pool had basically greenish water in it. Lots of algae on the walls and very buggy. You are only given consumables for the first day or two- we had to stock all of our own toilet paper, paper towels and spices. Also, for a hefty cleaning fee place wasn’t very clean! Day one I spilled a little water of the floor and when I wiped it up the paper towel was quite dirty and had dog hair all over it. Overall though it worked and it is right next to an awesome park. The owner is very sweet, helpful and welcoming. The hose is cute and tucked into a great location with no traffic!

The place is a little tired but operational. The Pool is neither heated nor covered.

4 Bedroom Cottage near the park

Well kept 4 BR, 2BA cottage with mature landscaping and trees near a large public park. Cottage has central air with supplemental air conditioning for the upper floor bedrooms. The house is on a dead end street, so traffic is minimal. There is a pool in the fenced back yard. The park has a .5 mile walking trail, a duck pond, and a dog park. The park has lots of walkers, but little noise. A perfect spot for us and our three dogs.

The house and property is beautiful we loved the backyard and pool.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was great. The park is very nice. We felt like the house was well equipped and kept in good condition. Our communication with Kim was good except for some of the time we were there it was sometimes hours before she would respond. But other than that she was a great host and was very welcoming even invited us to a party they hosted on New Years which we were not able to make. Definantly recommend this to someone else.

Centrally located and very well appointed

I rented this house for my family a few years ago before relocating to Sarasota. I am now living in Sarasota with my husband and just rented this house for my extended family. My sister and her family stayed here and were very comfortable. The owners are very nice and were helpful in pointing us to some local companies to plan a fishing trip for my nephews. The house is well maintained, has plenty of space for 8 people, is reasonably priced and very centrally located. I highly recommend this property!

Very clean

This house was very clean. Plenty of very nice linens are provided. The neighborhood is very quiet and the park close by is nice for walks. We enjoyed our stay at this property.

Spring Training

Our Family of 8 enjoyed a week of beach time, pool time, and baseball. The house was very nice, cozy and met our family's needs. It was clean and very homey. The beaches were close in proximity as well as the stadium. We enjoyed the little park and pool within walking distance. We had a great week!

Great February in Sarasota

My wife and I and our three miniature schnauzers just returned home after a month stay at this property. This is our fifth year spending February in Sarasota, but our first time in this home. Previously we had rented on Siesta Key. Not being beach goers, we decided to stay in town and avoid the beach traffic. This home was a great choice. The house is a charming Cape Cod with two bedrooms and a bath on the main level, and two bedrooms and a bath on the upper level. The house is nicely decorated and has been updated. One big plus is being just one house away from a large park. There are large and small dog areas and a half mile walking trail. We enjoyed early morning walks in the park and walking our dogs there. Another big plus is that the landlady, Kim, lives only two houses away. She provided lots of useful information and checked often to make sure everything was going well with our stay. This past month was unusually warm, and the A/C and ceiling fans kept the entire house comfortable. We had a great stay and have signed up to come back next year.

it was as advertised: a cozy 4 bedroom, 2 bath house in a quiet neighborhood

The house is a typical Florida cottage located near Arlington Park and close to the center of Sarasota. The owner spent an hour with us to give an orientation & was responsive to our questions over the next several days. This personal touch was greatly appreciated. In sum, the house was easy to get to & from and easy to stay in. We had a full range of working appliances (from an Osterizer to a washer/dryer) & a private backyard & pool (which we didn't use because the weather was uncooperative!). There were plenty of sheets, towels, pillows, blankets -- everything needed. The first floor has a central A/C; the upstairs has individual units in each bedroom.

A very comfortable home, with wonderfu, privatel back yard and patio, and hospitable owner nearby.

Owner moved us into her additional rental house next door so we did not have to deal with debris in backyard after heavy rains, and that house was right on Arlington Park, with a larger patio and back yard. We found everything we needed in the kitchen; the house clean and well organized; the location quiet, and ideal for our dog. We stayed two weeks, and highly recommend the place!

Great vacation home

We were in Sarasota for the first time for a family wedding. We rented this home and the home next door from Kim. They were close to everything, but out of the usual sounds of a city. The park was nice and so handy...great for walks and to admire the lush Florida plants and flowers. The beautiful Siesta Key beaches were minutes away. The home had all the amenities: stocked kitchen, coffee, paper products, linens and even beach towels, which was very nice.The pool was nice with lots of patio furniture. The home was clean and well maintained. I would have given 5 stars, but we had an issue with the hot water the first day. We called Kim and she did get it fixed later in the day. Yoders restaurant was close and soooo good. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice house in a good neighborhood

The real rating of this property would be 4 1/2 stars. The house was very clean, had an interesting decor with paintings by the owner, was located next to a great park and was only a 15 minute walk from the great Hillview restaurant area. (Also a short drive to the downtown area or the beaches.) The four bedrooms offered a variety of beds (sizes and firmness) while the kitchen was well-equipped. Nice backyard area for swimming in the pool, reading a book or catching a quick nap. The only minor complaint was the lack of space (shelves) in the bathrooms for our stuff. Would highly recommend this house.

multiple generation family getaway

We went down for a family reunion and it was perfect. Quiet and next to the park gave a lot of room for entertaining. Very clean and up to date, top of the line appliances and tv/cable/wifi. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The 4 bedrooms allowed grandparents to each have their own room, two teenagers in the twin beds and my husband and I in the king. We literally brought clothes and bought some food and the house had everything we needed to cook and do laundry. Owners were very nice and they thought of everything, even beach towels! This location was so nice to come back to after going to the beaches, shopping etc. you truly felt like it was a vacation getaway, we would rent again in a heartbeat!

Great area in lovely neighbirhood

This home is just the kind of Florida cottage you need for that month in the sun. Kim and her husband are wonderful people and we would stay here again except we bought our own place. Close to everything, nicely decorated, great yard for the dog and out your front door is a great park with wild fowl, a fenced in dog park and a wonderful walking neighborhood.

Family Getaway

Wonderful house and location. The house was exactly as it looks in the pictures, very well kept and up to date. Wonderful for a family with a pet. We had a great stay, the park was convenient to the house and perfect for morning and evening dog walks. Location was very quiet, peaceful and only a very short drive to Siesta Key a wonderful white sand beach.

Ross is a native Sarasotan who showed me the beauty of Sarasota thru catamaran sailing the Gulf waters and canoeing the Myakka and Peace River Eco-systems. We have lived in this neighborhood for a combined total of 83 years and continue to call it home. We take pride in our rental property as evidenced with its amenities and comforts.

The many live-oaks on and around the property were planted by my husband and his family 60 years ago. They offer cooling shade in the summer afternoons and host to a variety of wildlife, including hawks, woodpecker varieties and songbirds. The nearby park is home to egrets, waterfowl, turtles and ibis. Evenings are perfect for a stroll with a well lit pathway and water fountain. There is a playground at the northwest corner of Arlington Park past the Olympic pool facilities that are available to the public for 4.00 per person per day.
