We could barely open the door, the floors are so warped, there was urine on the top of the toilet seat (despite the paper banner that said it had been cleaned). Most of the kitchen drawers don’t open right, no ice maker, just an ice tray full of water in the freezer, there was sand in my bed (not from me) and the code to the lock box didn’t work. It’s nicely decorated but it needs a lot of repairs. We won’t be staying here again.

The water was literally right across the road from the house. Most of the time I was there, the water was fairly calm, but the surf was always thundering when the tide was up. I enjoyed the sound and the sight of it. Saw a dolphin a couple of times, and watched both local and tourist fishermen and women, catching fish. The home is older and along with that comes a few minor issues, but overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. I had one issue that I had to contact property management about, and they immediately responded, and had someone out the next day to remedy the problem. Thank you to Beach Box for a peaceful, much needed vacay by the sea!

Very honest review: location and the sea view is perfect. It’s less than 5 min walking to the beach.You can see that’s and an older house but it’s well taken care off in general. Super clean bathrooms and bedrooms. The balcony is not of this world!What I did not enjoy: the house was with a really strong mold smell. The floors were in pretty bad shape. I traveled with a baby so I wish the curtains were a little darker to accommodate her naps easier.

When we got there the house had a terrible odor. We couldn’t decipher if it was a mold/mildew smell or cat urine. We opened the windows, which barely functioned, to get rid of the smell but froze because of it overnight. There was a smashed dead roach in the shower and the couch looked dirty with stains. The house was not clean. The floors were very uneven and the house actually moved/swayed anytime somebody was walking. It felt like we were on a cruise ship in rough waters. We questioned whether the house was even safe to be in. The kitchen was pretty much unusable considering what they provided and the cleanliness. We did reach out to both the contact Beach Box and VRBO to see if we could get a refund or be relocated because we felt unsafe. Beach Box solution was to send a maintenance guy out who checked to see if there was hot water in the one bathroom, which there wasn’t and message us they were sorry for our frustration but that was it. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO locations and this was the worst ever. The view was amazing and the chairs on the deck were really comfortable but that is the only thing that was positive. We ended leaving a day early because we were grossed out.
Looked like mold in the bedroom closet.
We had to prop the window open to help with the terrible odor in the house.
Filth on top of the fridge.
One of the few pans to use.

Misleading Listing — Unsafe and Uninhabitable Property. Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing and concerning. The home was not as described or pictured — the listing photos were clearly photoshopped and did not reflect the true condition of the house.Upon arrival, we immediately noticed serious safety hazards. The deck was unsafe, with missing railings, loose boards, and an 8-foot drop beneath it. The deck furniture was broken and unstable, creating a risk of falling. Inside, the house was so unlevel that doors would not open fully, kitchen drawers jammed, and the mattresses were broken and sagging. The entire structure visibly swayed in the wind, making it feel unsafe to stay inside, especially with children present.After only 14 hours in the home (out of our 3-day reservation), we had to leave for safety reasons. Vrbo’s Health and Safety team conducted an independent inspection and confirmed the property was unsafe. Unfortunately, despite this finding, I have not received a refund.This property should not be listed for rental until all safety and structural issues are resolved. I strongly advise future renters to avoid this listing until it has been properly repaired and re-inspected.

First the positive. The view from the porch was very nice. My kids liked the 3 tier bunk beds, and it was apparent that professional cleaners had cleaned the house. I was also going to say the agent was very responsive, but after we checked out, we had some questions and now crickets. The building itself was very dilapidated. You can feel instability in the foundation as you’re lying in bed and the house is moving! It smelled extremely moldy, even after two days of running the air and keeping the windows open. The flooring was warped, wavy and very worn out. The photos for the space are AI enhanced. A corporate income property with no real soul in the space. Also cheap, poly linens on the beds. They also flout a grill space when really it’s a rusted out barrel grill below the house. Do not recommend.
