Host was great. The unit could use some upgrades in Kitchen - dishwasher was small and the range burners didn’t all really heat up to maximum heat. Overall we loved the layout of unit and location was great.

So whoever took the pictures and posted them online was not entirely honest about the beds in the bedrooms because we were surprised to find twin beds which my 6-ft 1 husband had to sleep on and and Murphy bed which was surprising and not in a good way

Could be really nice if maintained

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Despite being in a fantastic location, the lack of maintenance would keep me from returning to A Sunrise Cottage. It was unfortunate that the previous renter's post did not post until after we arrived because it was spot on. The linens were in need of replacement, the master suite bed's headboard was not connected to the bedframe and the mattress felt like a Marshmallow on a cot. If you sat on the foot of the bed the head of the bed popped up. The towel hook in the master bath was coming out of the wall, the ceiling fan made a horrible sound all night making it impossible to sleep through the night. The kitchen faucet was broken and the bottom drawer pull was missing. The chairs and sofa could use a good cleaning. The deck could have been a pleasant place to sit with great furniture; however, the mess from the chickens and iguanas left an awful barnyard stench. Never experienced such a mess in all the years staying in Truman Annex. Compass Realty was unresponsive to a call that I made up on my arrival.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage has seen better days; in one word it is beat. Leaking sink and broken exhaust fan in bathroom, upstairs bathroom we stopped using because the shower handle was so hard to turn off and on, missing kitchen cabinet handle, broken faucet in kitchen, worn out towels and pillows. This property needs sprayed for bugs as well. Patio had no hose to clean off the constant droppings from chickens and Iguanas.

Construction 8am - HORRIBLE

Every morning there was 8 am construction couldn’t sit in the deck because of the falling debris. Kitchen drawer had no handle. The outside deck had no canopy like in the pictures. Other than that we had a great time.

Vacationing in Paradise

The property was very clean, quiet and a very good location. Close to restaurants, shopping, and activities. The only issues with the condo was the upstairs toilet seat , bathroom hooks and toilet paper roll were loose. Was a little disappointed in the upstairs second bedroom which didn't have a bed or couch. Be sure to put security warning on the step out into this bedroom, drops suddenly. Water in downstairs toilet didn't fill high enough. But overall, we would stay here again.

Great Place to Stay

This was a great rental in a great location, and the management was very clear, helpful, and easy to reach. One thing to note is that the master suite does not have a door (as noted in other reviews), and the sound does travel from downstairs. Loved the location and the amenities.

Great Stay close to everything

Loved this property. Just as described. Would suggest renting bikes to get around everywhere. Beach is 5 min bike. sunset 2 min bike downtown key west 2 mins.

I had only two concerns with upstairs bathroom the flooring needed tender loving care mold around the edges. The linens of the king size bed needed better inspection. The bottom sheet and mattress pad were stained. I did not realize this until I stripped bed covers at end of trip. I think a linen service should be used. We had a beautiful rooster and hen visit every morning while having coffee on the back patio. I have been to Key west many times and this location is the best to go to restaurants & entertainment. Too many good restaurants to name. blue Heaven is two blocks away and has great food and across the street from Blue Heaven is a French restaurant which is also great. I definitely would recommend this cottage and area to stay for your visit to Key West.

Perfect key west location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Family of 6 rented for a week. The good: the location is perfect. Close to everything, a bike ride away to the beach, shops, the water, restaurants, museums. We didn’t move our car all week. Very quiet. Beds were comfy. Quality towels and sheets.The ok - kitchen is tiny. If you want to cook, this wouldn’t be the rental for you. The upstairs area is spacious, but there’s no privacy. The fan in the upstairs was very loud, and sounded as if it might need a repair. Space was moderately clean, but I think this is an area that could be improved. Overall, we had a great week.
