As an avid traveler and frequent mover thanks to the military, I’ve always dreamed of visiting my favorite places without breaking the bank. That dream is what led me to try hosting short-term rentals—creating a vacation home that feels exactly how I want it, while also sharing it with guests like you! Since I know firsthand how much a great host can make or break a trip, I strive to provide the kind of thoughtful, high-quality experience I always look for when I travel.

This neighborhood is where my wife and I first put down roots while she was in college earning her nursing degree. We love it here because it’s close to everything—the University of West Florida, the hospitals, and just a quick trip to Pensacola Beach for some fun in the sun! The area is a true Pensacola neighborhood, surrounded by locals and full of everyday charm. It may not be the fanciest zip code in town, but it’s safe, welcoming, and gives you an authentic feel for the city we’ve come to love.

The Gander’s Respite is our goose-themed getaway, inspired by our daughter—affectionately nicknamed Lucy Goosey—and our love of the animal itself. We designed this space to embody the feeling of ‘they thought of everything!’ Since we know travel and packing look different for everyone, we stocked the home with as many daily-use essentials as we could dream up, so you can settle in without an immediate run to the store. We even kicked things up a notch with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with high-quality pots and pans, so you can whip up anything from a quick breakfast to a gourmet dinner.
