Great week at EI!

We had a great week at Summerplace West! Great location: short walk to the beach and a short drive to shops/restaurants. The house was clean, the furnishings were great, and the owners were very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this house for a great family vacation!

Perfect oceanfront accommodations!

This simple and charming west-side unit had everything our family needed for a 6-day stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the location can't be beat. Communication with the owners was fantastic and we had the opportunity to meet and talk to them a couple of times; they are both lovely! And their dog, Blossom, is super cute :) We will rent this place again for sure.

First time at Emerald Isle

Amanda was great to rent from....duplex cottage was very clean and had comfortable beds. Very handy outdoor shower (enclosed so you had privacy) was great for cleaning up before heading inside from a full day on the beach) 2 story balcony was also great to enjoy in the evenings. New windows throughout and all with an ocean view in the sea facing side. Would visit again!

Great location for a beautiful beach getaway!

Wonderful location right on the beach with easy access and great location on Emerald Isle, away from any crowds. We were 2 families, party of 9 and the house was cozy but fine since most of our time was spent on the beautiful beach. Water and sand were especially nice, even nicer than beaches in South Carolina. House was well equipped, kitchen appliances could have been cleaned a bit better especially items stored in cabinets. This house is great, just be prepared to follow a lot of rules as they are posted all over the house and include making beds when you arrive and sorting bed clothes and towels when you leave (a first for us who are frequent VRBO renters). Overall a very nice vacation location.

Best deck and view around!

Because the deck goes down to the sandbar, we felt like we were on the beach even when we were not in the sand! We would be hard pressed to find a better deck and view anywhere. Phil, one of the proprty owners, was in the other side of the duplex our first week there. The 6 of us so enjoyed our daily visits with him.

Perfect get away!

We came to the island for the EI 5K and Marathon, and decided to make it a weekend. The house was great - well equipped, comfortable, and the ocean views couldn't be beat! We spent a lot of time outside on the decks, and walking up and down the beach. Relaxing, fun, and plenty of room for our extended family. I highly recommend it! Amanda (the owner) was also great with communication and instruction.

Perfect vacation!

Our family couldn't have enjoyed Summerplace more. Everything we needed to be comfortable and relaxed. Perfect location made everything convenient & easy for everyone. It may have been 100+ degrees, but we never felt it with the cool ocean breeze outside and the A/C inside. Our daughter and friend loved looking up at the stars each night from the outside upper deck. Amanda is great to talk with and has thought of everything!

Amazing!!

This home is absolutely perfect! It’s literally 5 steps from the beach, everything was remodeled up to the day we arrived so it was basically brand new, it’s a quiet place with a beach that was never crowded so perfect for the little ones to run and play! Spent all of our time either on the sand or on the brand new deck sitting in the rocking chairs that overlook the beach and of course watching the dolphins playing 💙 this is by far our favorite rental ever and we will absolutely be back in the future!!

Wonderful Beach House!

We are so happy we chose Summerplace West! Everything from booking to check-out went smoothly. Amanda was great about communicating all the information we needed. The house was so charming. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beach was just steps away! We enjoyed using both decks and the platform on the walkway throughout our stay. Great views everywhere! We went kayaking and found a great casual restaurant, Anchor Drafthouse and Pizzeria toward Indian Beach. It was a great vacation at a wonderful house!

Perfect Location

The duplex was in a perfect location. Right on the beach, close to stores and restaurants. Perfect size, not too big and not too small. I'm not a fan of the beach houses that you have to go up and down mulitple flights of stairs. Meg is on the ball! If you need anything, she answers quickly! The only recommendation I would make is that if you have adults in your party, bring your own beach chairs as the ones that are provided are more for children.

Family vacation 2023

We had a great stay at summer place! The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed for the week! The owners were in constant communication and answered any questions we had. You could not get any closer to the beach which is where we were most of the time. The house does have very steep steps which is important to note if you have issues with stairs. It also does not have any ice or filtered water so we had to purchase all of that separately which was kind of a pain. All in all we had a great stay!

Perfect house

LOVED LOVED LOVED this house! Beautifully decorated. Very nice mattresses, so I slept great every night. Two master bedrooms, both with beautiful views were a huge bonus. This was a CLEAN house with everything well organized and nothing the owner didn’t think about in terms of creating a great experience for the guest. Beyond Convenient to the beach. In addition to being oceanfront (of course), this could have been the shortest walkway from the house to the beach I have ever personally used. This is important when you have small children. The deck was incredible. We spent many hours sitting outside drinking coffee and enjoying the view. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone. We will definitely rent this house again.

Perfect Week at the Beach

This home is ideally located on the private beaches of Emerald Isle, our favorite beach destinations. The kitchen is big and easy to cook in. We enjoyed home-cooked meals on the deck almost every evening. There was plenty of comfortable places to sit, both inside and out. And the beds, super comfy. By far, this was the best beach vacation we’ve ever had.

Fantastic Property!

My family (2 adults, 3 kids aged 2-11) had a fantastic time at this property. The location was just perfect. Lots of amenities to make our trip easier - all the sand castle toys we could ask for, a high chair, even boogie boards that my kids used every single day. Also appreciated all the USB ports in every room and Roku’s with the tvs . Communication was fantastic too- I really couldn’t ask for anything better all around. A hidden gem!

We go to great lengths to be sure you have everything you need for a fabulous time at Summerplace including barbecue grills, boogie boards, chairs, laundry facilities, new Gotham Steel pots, dishes, utensils, small appliances including a Keurig, and the comfiest mattresses available!
