We booked for a long weekend and October and had never been on the 4WD only part of OBX. Kevin was super helpful and answered all my questions. The house was clean and comfortable and an awesome location. We saw wild horses as soon as we got there right outside the house! The walk or drive to the beach is barely one block and the house has life jackets, kayaks and other beach items to use if you forget or don’t want to pack. There’s no bonfires on the beach in Carova but there is a fire pit in the back yard along with the hot tub. 4 bedrooms gave us plenty of space for our family of 5 but could easily condense for two families if you’re ok condensing sleeping. There’s only small detail I didn’t realize from the description was the downstairs poker/entertainment room and the laundry area isn’t connected inside the house so you have to hop outside and up steps to get to the main part ofThe house. Overall, we loved this experience despite some bad weather near the end of the trip. Would def book this house again.

LOVED this vacation, what an amazing place! Literally wild horses walking around the house and surrounding areas. Spent two days on the beach, horses were just hanging out with us, no big deal!! House was great, hottub was great, owner/host was even better! He sent us all the applicable addresses for the air station, property etc, and even stopped to make sure we were all set once we got settled in. Could not say enough good things about this place! Can’t wait to go back!!

This house is one of our favorites!!!!! It is in an awesome location, close to the beach and the park with visits from the wild horses. It's also clean and comfortable with lots of great amenities. The host is so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay in OBX!! Kevin was absolutely great!! He was responsive to our request to have the gas logs lit-gave us directions-and when we couldn’t figure it out came and lit them for us. He also reached out before we arrived to make sure we knew how to get to his property. We highly recommend this property both for the beautiful location and for Kevin as a host.

We had a wonderful first visit to Northern OBX! Both the four and two-legged visitors found the accommodations as advertised and comfortable. As many others have said, Kevin is a top notch host, going above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable vacation.

Our family had the best week staying here! The house was incredibly clean when we arrived, very spacious, and well-stocked. We were able to see wild horses come up every day. 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Check-in was super easy. We came a little early and had the opportunity to meet the home owner. It was super clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. Our family of 5 was very comfortable and we would certainly come back.

Quick weekend getaway

Had a great weekend! Loved the location and the house had everything we needed for a long weekend stay with my boyfriend and dogs. Would definitely recommend and would like to make it back again!

Excellent Experience

One of the best short vacations ever! House was as advertised and just a short block from the beach. When not out at the beach or exploring the island for wild horses, it was nice to relax, grill, start a fire, and soak in the hot tub. 10/10 will stay here again!

Super clean, relaxing, and enjoyable

One of the best vacations we’ve had. Owner was very responsive, great location as we were able to see the wild horses of Corova beach on the property and adjoining properties. Absolutely the most relaxing destination we have had the opportunity to visit. This property really felt like home.

Kevin was an amazing host. And the horses! There were 2 in the front yard when we pulled up to the property and 5 in the yard the day we left. Such a wonderful trip and the property fulfilled all our needs.
