You can't beat the location of this second-floor villa, located in the heart of West Beach Village on Kiawah Island! Enjoy a private screened-in porch, 625 square feet of relaxing living space, and easy walking access to the local tennis courts and the gorgeous ocean beach.

What’s nearby:
The West Beach Villas complex is close to a variety of activities, with the ocean beach, tennis courts, one of Kiawah Island's five championship golf courses, and shopping and dining within a quarter-mile stroll. Rent a bike nearby and take a ride to Night Heron Park or the general store on more than 30 miles of paved trails that extend all across the island. Freshfields Village - a picturesque hub of dining, shopping, and entertainment - is two miles west, and historic downtown Charleston is only 25 miles northeast.

Non-Responsive and Uninterested Owner/manager

While the small apartment was fine, the pool access that was confirmed when booking wasn't 't arranged. When failure to register us for guest access with the resort pool was followed up on with their property manager (Vacasa), they indicated that owner wasn't "doing that any more" and that regardless of what assurances were made at time of booking, this simply wasn't going to be fixed by them. For good measure, it took multiple follow ups and over a day to get answers from Vacasa, despite having provided initial notice during their normal local business manager hours and then following up with their main contact numbers and being told we'd get a response the next morning... which didn't happen. We had to follow up again later that afternoon. Vacations shouldn't be spent hunting down hospitality providers. Overall bad experience.

Quiet beach getaway

Great location on Kiawah Island. 5 minute walk and you’re on the beach. Quiet and relaxing. The condo is perfect for two. Clean and comfortable. Will use again if we go back.

A beautiful setting

If you are not a golfer but what the serenity of trees, birds, and the beach…this is the place for you. The furniture in the living/great room, while attractive is not at all comfortable. The sofa needs to be replaced because the cushions sink into the bed frame below. But everything you need for a relaxing stress free vacation is all there. Getting the tv to work was a challenge. If you use streaming platforms at home then you’re good. If you don’t, and I do not, just getting regular programming was a challenge. Perhaps written instructions might help.

Wouldn't describe as “lovely villa”

Older property. Clean but popcorn ceilings, sagging sofa and chipped wood and paint throughout. Poor lighting and sagging shower curtain rod. Overall, a depressing experience. Has definitely seen better days. Check in and out was fine. Very cramped layout.

Great area! We found a great golf course. Excellent variety of restaurants to choose from. Place was perfect size. There was an excellent supermarket to get groceries to cook as well.

Clean spacious villa- quick walk to the beach.

I was by myself and the West Beach villa was perfect- villa was clean, bathroom was updated and kitchen had everything needed for a few nights stay. Quick walk to the beach. Check in process was easy and they checked in with me often to make sure everything was satisfactory- would definitely stay there again!

I had a medical conference at the conference center on Kiawah island This condo was perfect right across the street from ocean and right next to the conference center Vacassa people were wonderful Place was clean and cute 5 stars indeed

Close to beach and conference center

We stayed here due to its location to the conference center. Its a very short walk to the conference center and the beach, 2 miles from Freshfield's. The unit was great for just being myself and my wife.

RODENT INFESTATION

This property has a serious pest problem. We were awoken one morning by a mouse (or rat...it was big) in the bed crawling across my wife. When we went to the main room and kitchen, we saw a second mouse/rat scurrying on the counter. There was rodent feces all over the counter and floor nearby. The property also has tons of bugs (probably because of the rats). I expect some bugs in a southern marshy location, but I have never seen this many flies and other insects in a house/condo. I would highly recommend to look for another property, as the mouse in the bed was one of the worst travel experiences we have had.

Road Trip of the South

We are from Colorado and have not spent much time traveling in the South. We started our road trip in Murrells Inlet with friends then Kiawah was our first stop. We enjoyed the Island and found our favorite place was down at the Bohicket Marina with Fresh Fields also a very nice market area. The rental was very clean and in a great location for exploring.
