Great location next to the beach- there was an elevator which was helpful! The condo was well- equipped and very clean.

Clean, quiet, immediate access to the beach. The beach seems like a private beach. Negative side: access by mostly two-lane roads with heavy traffic and only one grocery store in the vicinity.

Loved It!

I loved staying in this cute condo. It is perfectly located for a quick walk on the boardwalk to the beach. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. I'll definitely be back!

Beautiful beach location

Nice, clean, attractive and modern condo with great access to retail options and a wonderful secure walkway to the gorgeous beach. Parking pass process was awkward, and it would be nice to have beach chairs and umbrella for guest use.

Overall Great!

Wonderful location with beach access and perfect size for 2 people for a weekend. Any group larger it would be very tight for a studio space with such a small kitchen area and sleeping arrangements. Easy check in, clean room and linens, and very comfortable bed made it great for what we needed

Great location and clean!

My wife and I go to Kiawah Island every summer for a golf tournament. This was our first time staying at Shipwatch and we both loved how close it was to the beach and to the front gate. We got to the Freshfields area every night so very convenient. The room itself was a great studio, very clean and cozy. Would highly recommend!

Small but nice.

We enjoyed this property. It could use a little updating but was nice overall and was clean. Fan & light on microwave would not work, broken drawer in kitchen, towel rank off the wall in the bathroom. Greatly appreciated the air worked great & always plenty of hot water.

This is a hidden gem! Tucked in the trees of a gorgeous resort! The check-in process was seamless, starting at the gate. Giving them the code, and they give the parking pass; the whole process took less than 5 minutes. The centralized elevator granted easy access to the unit. When walking into the unit, you can feel the love the owners have for it! With a true costal Carolina feel in the unit! The unit was very well kept and maintained. If I have anything negative to say, it would be the unit is not beach facing, as described. But the balcony view into the trees was amazing and secluded. It was like getting the best of mountain views and oceanfront property at the same time. The added touch of the welcome binder was great! It had everything from check in/out procedures to things to do in the area. The resort having private beach access (key fob needed) hands down made for the most enjoyable experience! The resort had quiet hours, and wildlife restrictions (sea turtle lights out policy), and made for the most relaxing stay! I am already looking into booking my next stay at this resort and this particular condo!

Room has roaches!!!

This room had roaches it smelled bad and nothing was done to correct the problem the floors needed cleanedthe enitre ace was an aweful experience. Go elsewhere for a stay it will be worit for cleanliness and peace of mind

2479 Shipwatch

We arrived at 4:15 and the cleaners were leaving the rental. So the floors were still wet. We did ask for early arrival, but never received an email or phone call which was aggravating. Otherwise the loft was clean, full of kitchen essentials, clean bedding, towels and kitchen towels as well. We loved the access to the beach, 4th floor patio right next to us and the cleanliness of the entire place. The elevators were a plus when unloading the car and going to the beach. It would be nice to see clearer markers when you arrive. I went in an emergency door and came out into an open hallway. There was a nice man that took me to the elevators and showed me the location of our rental. He also showed me how to access the parking lot via the elevators. All was well once he helped me. My husband and I enjoyed this vacation!

Loved Kiawah, issues with property manager

The condo was nice and it's in a great location. Unfortunately, the property wasn't cleaned and ready for check-in until 5:30pm. In addition, the property manager forgot to tell us anything about the gate key for beach access, and we had to interrupt another portion of our day to retrieve it. Also, the patio and patio furniture were pretty dirty and unusable. I would stay at the property again but would like the property manager to tighten things up.

Atrocious Customer Service

We didn't even go. My mother passed away 3 days prior to our check-in and when I called to try to save a little something out of this tragedy, all I was told was I should have purchased travel insurance. SERIOUSLY!!!! You people are inhuman and deplorable. Nothing...not one consideration was given to me and my wife by you and your idiot proxies. No partial refund, no reschedule...nothing. I will make it my mission to ensure that Vrbo, Vacasa, and the rest of the people involved in this fiasco never get business from anyone I know ever again.

Charming Studio

Great location for the price. Nice property with no disturbances from neighbors. The building has an elevator. Our room was a studio with a balcony. Kitchen and bath was well equipped. Hand soap provided, a few laundry pods (if needed) and a few dishwasher packs. A few beach chairs and umbrellas were noted at the property. We had our own. It is not newly updated, but the price is fair. Downside was the key fob to the beach access did not work and management took about 24 hours to tell us we needed to go to Freshfields for the key fob. No big deal b/c a public beach access is next door. Downside of not using the private access is no water to clean your chairs and feet when you exit the beach. Also the laundry is complementary (I believe one on each floor) but the dryers (there were two) on the 4th floor did not dry the clothes. We didn't try the other floors. Overall, a great stay. We love Kiawah and riding the bikes and the wildlife.
