The Space:
This gorgeous villa is located in the Windswept building, which is one of the most sought after complexes here on Kiawah Island! Take a peek at the beautiful ocean views that can be seen right from the balcony which has a full dining set where meals can be enjoyed. The home has a fully equipped kitchen for easy meal preparation and a washer & dryer for any laundry needs you may have during your stay. Shared tennis courts can be found on-site as well as a playground for the kids!

What's nearby:
Located close to just about everything you may need during your stay, you'll find the beach right nearby as well as golf, tennis and The Sanctuary. Less than a mile away, you'll find a variety of dining options as well as some local attractions such as the Heron Park Nature Center. Kiawah is internationally known for its golfing scene, so if you're an avid golfer, make sure to visit the Oak Point Golf Course (six miles northwest) or the Ocean Course (seven miles east). Beachwalker County Park's public beach is one you must visit and there you can use the on-site amenities, including grills, a seasonal snack bar, umbrellas, and more! It's located three miles west.

Great beach access at Kiawah

Comfy condo at Kiawah literally steps from the beach. Safe and quiet one br condo was spacious and well kept. We've stayed in Kiawah nearly twenty times now, and this simple spot was pleasant, and worth what was a very reasonable price.

Anniversary Trip

Great location to celebrate 30 year anniversary. Quick walk to beach. Enjoyed restaurants in Freshfields Village. Property was clean upon arrival. Can’t comment on kitchen as we didn’t cook while there. Suggestions would be upgrade sofa in main living area (sits very low), firmer mattress and upgrade to modern higher toilet (that too sits very low)

Lovely Location, Close to the Beach!

I have stayed at this property twice now, and it's always been an enjoyable stay. The location is unbeatable, as you're just steps away from the ocean. It's also super quiet and well maintained. Having in-unit washer and dryer is convenient. Only thing to be aware of, and it's not really the fault of the property, is that there may be some Palmetto bugs that pay a visit during your stay. In two, two-week stays, I've seen two of them. It's not enough to stop me from recommending this property for your next trip!

Nice location

The condo is in a great location directly next to the beach. You can see the beach from the porch. The accommodation is on the third floor so take note if climbing is difficult for you. The parking was easy. The inside of the condo was ok. Furniture had broken legs, coasters to level table, poorly lit kitchen with dirty dishes from previous guests. Had to scrub them before use due to baked on food. Oven smoked when we used it because of previous food droplets and we had to open the door. Dishwasher didn’t drain properly so it stayed very wet inside it. Dryer wasn’t working properly and the sensor kept turning it off. Not sure why. The shower was very nice and worked great. My biggest concern was cleanliness. It was very grimy. Film on all hard surfaces, dirt and hair in bathroom floor, chairs on porch covered in leaves and pollen, linens stained. They didn’t leave an extra set of sheets for the pull out couch as we had 4 in our party and needed those sheets. I called and they offered to come “look for the sheets if needed” which I wasnt comfortable with since it was 10:30 and we were all in our pajamas and ready for bed. I would rather they taken my word for it and dropped some off, we used our own blankets and made do but it was less than ideal. Neighborhood was quiet and the place was a good deal since the location was great. They also showed up a day early waking us up asking if we were leaving so they could clean. Sheesh, look at the schedule. Prob won’t stay here again.

Everything was great!

We love the beaches & bike trails on Kiawah and this property has excellent access to both. The condo had everything we needed and was very clean. We’d definitely stay here again.

Vacation

The property is close to beach and has everything needed for supplies. Only problem was an infestation of roaches. We fought them everyday.. The beach is beautiful and landscape is also beautiful. Home just needs a little help with insects.

Nice condo close to the beach

This one-bedroom condo is well-priced and well-located with short walk to the beach. Renters need to be ready for 2 flights of stairs. The bed is comfy with private view into the oak trees from bed. Deck is very lovely also. I loved the floor plan of this condo: separate toilet room, spacious vanity/shower area, and both areas connect to the bedroom yet give privacy. Very nice living room with dining room and open to the small, functional kitchen. The cookware needs to be replaced yesterday. If that’s something you care about I would bring my own. We never figured out the living room TV, and the bedroom TV is awkwardly mounted without swivel on a side wall to the bed. Love all the skylights and windows, high ceilings in living room and bedroom, window in shower, and simple, functional furnishings. Nice condo in a pricey area!

Although we live at a beach in NC, nothing compares to Kiawah. We’re glad we came for a quick birthday weekend getaway.

Very nice. Please have someone look at the dryer as it shuts off due to overheating which is believed to be from a clog lint line. Just do not want to see a potential fire. Great location

Our happy days!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The condo was tastefully decorated and the ocean view was very lovely. Also we enjoyed the location as it was easily accessible by bicycle to all our favorite nature places! The only thing that could have been explained a little more clearly is the amount of staircases one has to climb, for the more elderly like us it was a challenge!!! Overall we had a wonderful time at the condo and would certainly like to recommend it to others. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely place with us! With kind regards, Stephan and Marianne.

Peaceful setting.

Roaches everywhere

We were overrun with roaches during our stay. VACASA’s handling of the problem was very slow until I escalated it to a safety issue - roaches were jumping on my wife while she was cooking breakfast. They relocated us to another rental on the island when I mandated we couldn’t stay anymore. Unfortunately, we will never be back.

The location is what matters most :)

Our immediate reaction to the property was great! Very cute place, perfect size and more than sufficient amenities to house 2-4 adults for a week. Just a couple minute walk (literally) to the beach was exactly what we were looking for and the villa was always relaxing to come back to. The ONLY negative was that we shared the villa with a few multiple legged tiny pests throughout the week. They were minimal, but the roaches wanted to enjoy the AC from time to time too. Overall it was a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again!

Amazing vacay

We had the best time at this property. The location was absolutely amazing for us and our little one to walk to the beach every day. Everything was so clean and perfect. Only bummer was that the condo was being painted during our stay so there were a lot of chemical smells and we actually had to leave one day because there were plastic tarps all over over doors and windows. This was not at all the fault of the maintenance workers, as they were so polite and once they discovered that we were staying there they did their best to get out of our way, just wish the property managers would have notified us that this was happening during our stay

excellent perch!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kiawah at Windswept. Pros: location, access to beach (dolphin pod right off shore on morning walk!), view from the deck, kitchen equipment, cleanliness, and the ON ISLAND team from Vacasa - they were terrific and super helpful with very specific questions. Cons: a little sparse on the supply of towels (nothing for beach) and no beach chairs or umbrellas. Be prepared to pay daily rental fee from local co for those if you don't byo chairs. And while the online experience with Vacasa and, as noted, the on island folks was great, I needed to speak to a person to change dates over a month ahead of time and after two one-hour holds, I gave up and cancelled/rebooked (without penalty). Vacasa needs to reinforce their reservations phone bank. The team on the island was super responsive so very high marks there. Oh, and while all seemed clean, one cockroach made its appearance as we were packing up to go. Thankfully, on the way out, not in, but I'd encourage Vacasa to take extra care for what is likely a regular issue on Kiawah. Overall, though, a wonderful place to stay on a beautiful part of the coast. We'd return.

Convenient location

The property is well-furnished, convenient to beach and other amenities. It could use better pillows, a larger tv in living room and some info and maps on things to do in area
