This property is everything it stated and more. The location was great, the house was very clean, had everything we needed and more. The management company provided great communication and instructions. We would certainly come back to this property.

Beautiful Fall Colors Trip

We had another wonderful stay at Effie's House! This was our second visit and so glad we came back during the "warmer" season. Communication with property company was excellent, check-in was seamless, and everything was clean and incredibly well stocked. The property itself is a gem - secluded and super quiet. There are nice trails, a lake you can walk to, and proximity to UTV/ATV trails. We were fortunate to enjoy some beautiful fall colors during our stay. We also appreciate the addition of backup power since our last visit! We’ve enjoyed both stays and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend this wonderful getaway!

Very lovely, spacious home, well stocked and very relaxing. We spent a lot of time on the deck talking and watching the wild life. The area is very special, very wild and protected against development so you can escape civilization! Highly recommend!

Up north for the 4th

This house was perfect for our 4th of July weekend. Plus, it has all the amenities you will need. Nature views did not disappoint either!

We stayed at this property during a significant winter storm, which created additional challenges with power and communication, so it’s important to keep that context in mind. Despite the storm, the property itself was wonderful—very secluded, peaceful, and spacious both inside and out. It was extremely well stocked, clean, and the bed we used was quite comfortable. The real wood fireplace was a great touch, especially during winter, and the firewood was generously supplied.Upon arrival, the power was out due to the ongoing storm, which made communication difficult because of weak cellular service and no Wi-Fi. During the peak of the storm, we were finally able to get in touch with the property management group who helped us out with decision making. We rode out the power outage and all was good after that was corrected.We were surprised, after such a large snowfall (11-12 inches) that the driveway was not snow plowed. Thankfully, we had a 4WD vehicle and were able to manage.We look forward to returning.

We truly appreciate your understanding of the conditions and are glad to hear that you found the property well stocked, clean, comfortable, and a cozy place to ride out the weather. Regarding the driveway, with significant storm events and widespread snowfall, local plow operators are often responding to a high volume of calls, and it can take some time for service providers to reach every property. We do our best to schedule plowing as promptly as possible, but during major storms, delays can unfortunately occur. We’re grateful you were able to manage with your 4WD vehicle and appreciate your patience. It’s wonderful to hear that you look forward to returning, and we would be delighted to host you again in the future.

Property was very nice and quiet everything was clean they had more stuff then we thought inside the cabin as far as your needs the wifi works great as well steps have carpeting which is a plus as well overall I grade this cabin as excellent and loved the trails as well ty
