We had originally rented a different unit than the one we stayed in, but got a call a week prior to our trip that the original condo had some damage and they needed to move us. We definitely had an upgrade. The condo was beautifully appointed. If it'd been just my husband and myself, it would have been FANTASTIC. Instead we constantly worried that our 2 year old was going to break any one of the decorations, the glass dining room table, the tv, etc. Luckily we were fine. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed except for the french press (which we brought with us), the linens were nice, it was really a lovely condo. We had few complaints and I'll list them here: the bathroom doors lock, but our 2 year old EASILY unlocked them (they're pocket doors, so easily undone); the front door code never did work for us, so we had to deal with the actual key - it would have been nice to not take a key to the beach; for keeping the kids contained, we really needed a lock like hotel doors have on the upper part of the front door - instead we piled stuff in front of the door at bedtime; and the master shower was a PAIN. We LOVED the idea of it, but the only way to start the shower is to be in it - you can't reach in to start it and let it warm up. This made for an uncomfortable start to every shower, plus rinsing the kids was a huge pain - we either had to get in with them, or get seriously wet. The door next to the fixtures is a fixed glass door - so can't slide it to start the faucet. Also, the placement of all the additional jets was interesting. My husband and I were the perfect height to be sprayed directly in the face - you can't adjust them. It definitely made me glad we tried it out so we know we don't want so many jets in our shower at home! Overall, this was a fantastic place and, while we won't necessarily rent this condo again because it was too fancy for our rough and tumble boys, we WILL be back to HS&RC!
