Este hermoso condominio de 1 habitación y 1 baño se encuentra a solo un paseo en ascensor ya pocos pasos del parque frente al mar donde se puede asar o mirar a los surfistas y las tortugas marinas, o simplemente recostarse en las tumbonas. Si no te gusta el agua salada, ve a la piscina del complejo. Durante el otoño, puedes sentarte en el Lani y mirar / animar a los corredores Iron-man. Los volcanes se encuentran a poca distancia en coche y Magic Sands Beach está a pocos pasos. Si no quiere caminar, el servicio de traslado se detiene justo enfrente. Tenemos un administrador en el sitio y seguridad en el terreno.

Simple condo with all the amenities needed. The lanai was wonderful! The neighborhood was great. The proximity to the ocean was unbeatable.

Property very well equipped. It had everything I needed and more… the toaster didn’t work on arrival but it was replaced by a new one very promptly on the same day. Much appreciated. One small thing to mention - there were very tiny ants on the right side of the sink. I assume it is due to the tropics and as I was kept busy with the Ironman they didn’t bother me … all good! Thanks to Mark.

Spent three weeks in condo,nice place for a vacation,great weather sunny 80 every day,ocean is incredible,wish I could have stayed longer.Next trip to the Big Island I would definitly stay here again.Turtles,whales,dolphin,flowers everything just beautiful. MAHALO

At the ocean

It was very clean and equipped. It is “ocean front” meaning ‘on the ocean’ but it is not ‘ocean view.’ Clarification would be appreciated. We were a bit disappointed.

Supporting a friend for Ironman

This property was nicely located out of the busyness of downtown but close enough to venture in if needed. A little tricky to find the proper parking entrance the first time. All of that is secondary to the amazing nightly views of the sun setting and the morning coffee sunrise. If we are ever down that way again we will certainly try to score this place for lodging.

Great spot, budget friendly

This apartment for us perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, lots of towels and some basics like shampoo, conditioner, soaps, oil, spices etc etc. It’s in a good quiet building with a nice pool and ocean views. The apartment could definitely use a renovation but for the price, it was as expected. This is not high end, it’s cozy! All in all a great stay and the owner was great with communication. We will be back

Love the location and the condo

We stayed 30 days. Our 3rd stay at Kona Bali Kai and our 1st stay here. The roomy condo has everything needed to have a great vacation, LOTS of dishes, cookware, towels, beach chairs & coolers. The TVs, internet, A/C and all the other appliances work well. The owners are great to work with. The location is just south of town less then a mile to Magic Sands. The beach here is as good a place to see the sunset as ANYWHERE on the island. Security is good. The pool is GREAT. Having Da Poke' Shop for food is great, they sell out most days because its so good. A short walk to The Banyan grocery. We are water people (scuba dive, snorkel, swim) and the location is great for all these activities. I do recommend the unit and location. We can't wait to return.

Very Homey

Our daughter and granddaughters stayed in this unit and we had another unit. They loved the architecture and the feel of the place....cozy and relaxing. Large lanai with table & 4 chairs, lounger, rocker. The two resident deck geckos were very entertaining. The sofa was super comfortable...the youngest granddaughter claimed it for her bed as soon as she saw it. Sun blinds on the lanai were greatly appreciated. Very noisy during the day. Just steps to the pool and the ocean. Loved the grass, sand and tidepools. Loungers and chairs provided down at the ocean. Condo has beach chairs, boogie boards, noodles, coolers, grocery bags. Kitchen well-stocked. Lots of towels, including beach towels. Wonderful to have a washer and dryer in the unit. Great value. Girls didn't want to leave! Thank you, Mark!

Getting into the condo was easy with a door code. There was a printer there which I used to print the parking pass. I had printed one at home but it was buried in my luggage. The accomodation was comfy and exactly as expected. It is definitely dated but everything worked and there were nice touches, like boogie boards, beach chairs, and coolers. I think I even saw a snorkel set in there. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of bath towels, even beach towels. It was so well stocked we never needed to reach out to the owner for a thing. The location is on Ali’i drive, a couple miles from the busy tourist strip. The building is ocean front, but the room is facing the street. It is a very busy street within walking distance of many beaches. The beach directly in front of the building was nice to sit and watch the surfers and a couple of whales. The property has bbqs and chairs there. There was also a pool. It was a nice and comfortable stay.

Great area and wonderful old-fashioned place

Beautiful, although on-site smoking area apart from others would be extremely helpful. Noted many uncomfortable times feeling discriminated against due to Nicotine habit. While I respect the notion of keeping the grounds clean, nicotine users also have rights and we pay for our habit carefully

Above & Beyond

I searched high and low for a place to suit my needs that was in the same complex as my family. Marks’ place exceeded my expectations Homey, comfortable, and private. Perfectly located between magic sands beach and the downtown strip. I had more than a few little situations pop up and Mark was super responsive and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and had what I needed. If I find myself in Kona again, I will definitely rent Mark’s place again. Whether you want to keep it local And eat at the poke shack And watch surfers or cruise down the Kahalu’u beach park it’s all super close. If you have a car don’t miss - Manini Beach, Two step, Black Sands, Beach 69 & magic sands. Thanks for an awesome trip Mark!

Clean, convenient, and awesomely stocked!

This condo was one of three places we stayed during our first trip to the big island. It was perfect! Super clean, zero crawlers that happen often in those areas;) Was well priced… conveniently located on Ali’i Drive. A short 10 minute drive south takes you to a great snorkeling beach, and a 10-15 minute drive North takes you to the main tourist shops and restaurants. The condo was the best stocked of anywhere we stayed, with plenty of towels, boogie boards, coolers, carry bags, chairs, you name it. Air conditioning worked great. Pool and hot tub are small, but kept very clean. This condo faces the street, but it really wasn’t that noisy during the day, and was quiet at night. The beach on the backside has great tide pools and surfing. Wouldn’t recommend snorkeling right there because of all the urchins, but it’s great to search the rocks, and we did see turtles there. Would DEFINITELY stay again! Thank you for letting us rent this VRBO! :)

Overall great property

Spent 10 nights at this property. First trip to Big Island, 3rd to Hawaii. Priced right for location. Clean, well laid out, with everything you need for cooking, going to the beach, exploring... small cooler, chairs, umbrella and lots of towels. W & D in unit is so helpful. Coded entry is great, not needing a key. Parking space reserved is fantastic, close to the stairs/elevator. Location right on the water, surfing beach right outside. No swimming option here, but watching surf is excellent and we did see turtles a couple times right on the rocks out back.. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is the noise level from the road which the condo faces. It cannot be stated enough that if you don’t use earplugs, you won’t sleep much. The road is extremely busy day and night, and there is no soundproofing or noise barrier of any kind. Window AC works great, but also lets in sound, as do the doors to the nice balcony overlooking this busy street. We didn’t mind it, as we explore all day, and wear earplugs to sleep. It just needs to be very clear that this is not a quiet place to relax, unless you’re out back by the water, which is fantastic. Also, walking on Alii Drive is not safe to me. I booked this unit hoping to walk to the other beaches and to Kona nearby. It’s far too busy to safely walk, imho. We tried once, and then just Uber’s to Kona due to lack of available parking in town. There is a trolley shuttle, but it doesn’t run real often. Very convenient. Location is nice for exploring. We drove around the whole island a couple times, so many great places. 10 days of sun, no rain. This is a fantastic property in great location for exploring. If you’re looking to relax in a condo and watch the surf, book a unit on the water side, this is the best complex for surf and sunsets! Would definitely rent this again if we come back to explore. Would rent in the ocean side of this complex to relax.

Cosy Condo in Kona

Thank you Mark for letting us stay in your comfortable, cosy condo in Kona. The location was brilliant as we had our son participating in the 2019 Kona Ironman event. Everything was spotless and we loved sitting out on the front balcony observing the picturesque surrounds. Tracey and Stephen

Nice place to stay

The location was good. Allowed us to go to most places we wanted to visit with enough time to enjoy the location. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. It was a real plus having the washer and drier in room and the condo was stocked well. The condo overlooked the road out front so there was some traffic noise to get used to. The grounds had a nice pool and small hot tub and the tidepool on the beach regularly had a variety of fish including turtles and a couple of larger moray eels. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Everything we needed

Thanks for opportunity to stay in this condo, it was everything we needed. Location was perfect for us as we enjoy going to Kahalu’u beach park. Also close to the movie theaters, craft market and close enough to the shops and restaurants in Kailua. All were within a short drive. The condo was clean and had all the appliances, pots, pans and utensils needed for an easy stay. We saw several Sea Turtles behind the building.. Would definitely stay again.
