Winter get away ruined

I surprised my children with a trip to Disney world for Christmas. We live up north where it’s freezing! I was excited to have a heated pool song hot tub for us to relax in on the days we weren’t at the park. When we checked in the first thing the kids wanted to do was put on their swim suits. The tub took about two hours to reach its full temp which couldn’t be more than 80 degrees. I reached out to the manager and explained that it wasn’t getting hot and she ensured it would take time, every 25 minutes you have to reset the dial to heat up the water. IT NEVER GOT HOT. it was bath tub warm and the jets barely worked! I expressed my frustrations and both the manager and owner told me no one ever complained and it was working fine. The water pressure throughout the house was low and the main shower got as hot as the warm tub. It was so frustrating to explain to little kids that they couldn’t use the pool. We just kept the curtains closed and did outside activities to take away from the disappointment. The Internet and tvs were a confusing mess! I ended up using my hot spot to get my work done. The griddle was in the cabinet dirty with who knows what…. And when I did my final walk through and clean I found a pair of black panties under the 3rd bedrooms bed. I should’ve just stayed in a hotel where I could’ve got the respect a guest should be given when expressing their frustrations. Also the pool toys were molded and the longe chair was broken. GREAT PRICE but I see why….

The good and bad

The house, rooms showers were a little outdated, some light switches need to be replaced, but it was clean. The pool/hot tub was the only thing not very clean. Was told they dont ever drain the pool, but there was a problem they had to come out and fix (which they did), but we didnt use the pool and would have liked to. The remote controls were also very difficult to understand and use, even though they had a manual that talked about them (needs to be updated). For the price we would stay there again, but only if the pool was clean and light switches replaced. When we did call, they were very responsive.

Not as Advertised

Pros 1. The house was spacious and located in a family friendly neighborhood 2. Quiet enjoyment was had with the occasional barking dog 3. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, and major roads 4. Good proximity to attractions and theme parks Cons 1. The pool heater was broken upon arrival and we were unable to use the pool for 2 full days 2. The homeowner failed to pay his cable bill and we were without TV and internet for 1-1/2 days 3. The house was dark as the lighting was poor with many light switches that didn’t work 4. The house was worn – patches on the sofas, shower doors that didn’t seal/stay closed, water-stained wallpaper, chipped and peeling paint. 5. Promised coupons for restaurants and attractions were mostly expired and stored in a cabinet that had a door that was no longer attached to anything 6. 5 Remotes and a 2-page instruction booklet to use the TVs – totally needs to be streamlined NOT an Executive Rental: We have rented before and believe we know what an executive rental is. During our stay we had to buy the following items: • Laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets. (House Rules stated that we were obligated to wash all towels before leaving) • Paper towels, toilet paper (2 rolls for 4 adults over 7 days isn’t enough) and napkins • Coffee filters • Dish soap, sponges The best part was the property manager. She was professional, personable, kind, and efficient; responding immediately to all our issues and questions.

Overall good!

The pool was great, there were floaties and toys for the kids to play with. Kitchen was fully stocked. My only problem was there were so many remotes for every tv and we couldnt get anything to work. My brother just hooked up his laptop to watch things.

missing essential items

We came down for a quick long weekend trip to Disney for the Halloween party. You can tell the house is older but it is still nicer and better than trying to fit 6 people into a hotel for 4 days. I hate to leave poor reviews but I need to be honest. We never got to use the pool, it does say that it is on a timer but it was always freezing, granted it is October but it made it sound like the pool would warm up a little. We also could not watch TV(not that we needed to) but almost all of the remotes/gaming controllers were missing batteries(there were none in a drawer as stated in a earlier response to a review). The blu ray player did not have a HDMI cord and the streaming device did not have a power cord. There was a missing lightbulb in the bedroom which was not that big of a deal. No paper towels, no dish soap, no sponge to wash dishes, hardly enough dishwasher soap to wash one load. They have a note you have to wash all linens other than bedding but there was no laundry soap or dryer sheets. No other garbage bags other than the one that was already in the can. It is just frustrating that you have to go to the store and get these essential items when they should be included and has been any other vrbo we have stayed in. You can't bring it all on the plane back home so on top of having to pay for it all you also have to leave it. The worst thing was when we were looking for a dishes we found a mixing bowl full of old dried food and mold.

Don’t waste your time or money it’s all a lie nothing works

We got here after a 14 hour drive for our honeymoon only to find the tvs broken the pool light broken the hot tub broken it was in bad conditions and had the nerve to say well the bedroom tvs work lol I wouldn’t waste my time or money we had to find another place at 11 at night wouldn’t recommend at all

Nice house for the price

For the price, the stay was alright. We did enjoy the pool and didn't really use the hot tub because it was crazy hot outside anyway! The only downside was the tv situation. You can only use freevee in the one living room and master bedroom. The TV in the second bedroom didn't work at all and the other living room you could only watch DVDs. The tvs also didn't allow us to log into our streaming services. Overall we kept pretty busy so I would say it's pretty good value for the money. The decor is not updated but we don't care much about that stuff.

Nice vacation house for a great price

We enjoyed our stay here! Located close to many amenities and theme parks! We enjoyed the pool in the evenings and utilized the kitchen with all of the pots, pans, and coffee makers you would ever need. Would stay here again.

Great Family Getaway Home

We loved our stay the property actually looks better in person , the couches are a lil outdated but besides that it was nice I couldn’t figure how to turn the hot tub on and if you want to use the kitchen there is just utensils you have to bring/or buy everything else. But it was perfect for the price and the neighborhood was close to literally everything less than 20 minutes drive! They could use an updated pool screen to keep out the bugs and clean off the playground on the side. But the house is spacious and perfect for entertaining.

Disney world get away

Took our grandson to Disney/universal the parks were magical but Hot and crowded, it was great to get away from crowds and waiting. The pool was a great hit with the kids! Manager was quick to answer questions. Would recommend labeling light switches which were confusing. For grown ups the beds were very comfortable’

Cozy and great communication.

What an amazing stay this was! The property is cozy and the beds were all comfortable. The host was also very communicative and checked on us through messaging. Definitely can tell the place has been lived in and could use some TLC in some areas, but all can be overlooked when you put everything mentioned on top of the location into consideration. Highly recommend and will consider staying again in the future!

Nice stay

The house is older but still nice and close to everything. There was plenty of space to cook and entertain. We enjoyed it. The owner was super responsive before, during and after our stay. Oh, it’s ver affordable with the amenities I needed: safe and clean with wifi and a pool.

Quick wetaway

The property was lovely.Our stay was very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. The only thing that was not that great was there was one toilet paper roll for a party of 5 for a week. There wasnt any dish detergent or laundry detergent. I thought that to be odd not to have the essential.myriam

Good Quiet Neighborhood

Really uncomfortable and awkward that as our family was unpacking our vehicle to bring our things into the house upon arrival a guy pulls up and informs us that he is here to clean the pool. That should have been done after the previous guest checked out and not as new guest are checking in. Clean kitchen however Seemed as if there isn't a deep cleaning in the house, stale odor, stuffy due to not able to lower the thermostat and sticky floors. Dish detergent to clean dishes would be helpful, additional toilet paper, and laundry detergent considering the guests requesting to wash additional linen or towels if used. The linen, blankets, and pillow cases on the beds and the towels smelled bad as if they were not clean. I had to buy detergent to wash those items. The trash can for the street was really full and barely not enough room for the trash we accumulated to take out. I had to push the trash bags down to fit our trash in the can. A-lot of small flies inside the can from trash probably from multiple weeks. I did put the trash can to the street to be picked up from the city. Nice neighborhood, decent stay however I recommend take care of these few concerns and it would be more comfortable for future guest.

good Stay

The water pressure was very weak so that was very disappointing. Might want to inspect light switches, some where very tough to turn on (sticky or semi stuck) especially in the main bedroom. other than this it was a good stay.
