Family celebration

We loved being able to make a very short walk through the property right to Poipu beach! The restaurants nearby were wonderful. The property's large open grassy area with barbeque made for enjoyable family time together.

Great location!

Property and manager were both great! We did end up buying a few pans to leave since it didn’t have any that were non-stick and a few other kitchen items.

beautiful, comfortable, convenient

thank you so much for the wonderful accommodation in Poipu. It was our first time in Kauai and we traveled with our 2.5 yr old daughter. we were very comfortable and the service was very good. the location is really convenient and quite beautiful. would highly recommend.

Unit looks just as pictured. Can't beat the walkable location to beaches. Club amenities are great and appreciated. Noise from upstairs neighbors - just walking- sounds like elephants. Would have been nice to have AC on the days when there was no breeze, otherwise workable without. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time.

Lovely condo the same as pictured, but needs some TLC to get back to top quality. Wonderful location. great support staff. 2 pools available, one was great, the other needed work. Would have been helpful if more info. was provided about things in the condo. For example, had probs w/ TV because no info provided about how to work? Overall, very nice, would recommend.

This was a lovely condo for my family. As others have noted, the pictures are very accurate including of the unit itself and the community pools. There is no A/C so you need to be ready to open windows and use fans at night; for us this was not a problem. Ceiling and standing fans were provided in every room. The ground-floor location is great with the lanai. We did hear noise from the 2nd floor neighbors but it was not much. I will note that the washing machine is extremely loud (the house rules request you don't run it late at night, and you'll understand why). The kitchen was well-equipped allowing us to cook many of our own meals and we also made use of the convenient BBQ (there are several out in the shared yard). Easy walk to the beach and the provided beach chairs were also wonderful.

Great Location But needs Updating.

The location of this condo and the size is great. Amazing spot with beaches that are perfect - minutes from the door of the condo, restaurants within walking distance and just a lovely spot. The interior is outdated and definitely needs updating. The mattresses are bad, the sheets feel like straw and the couch is horrible. The unit is spacious and was extremely clean and we enjoyed ourselves even with the bad beds! The management staff was awesome and totally easy to work with. They tried to fix the issues we had - as much as they could and we appreciated that.

Kahala 514 Koloa

We loved the location! The condo was a short walk to the beach. The green area off the lanai was great as well. The condo itself however needs major "love". The rugs need to be replaced; there is mildew on the silicone in the bathrooms; the kitchen needs serious updating and also could use new cutlery, and prep knives, pots and pans etc.; the electrical plate is off in the second bedroom and the bedside lamp has electrical issues ; the screen door handle pops off all the time..etc. This could be a terrific place if time and money were spent fixing it up.

February 2017 Stay

Unit very well appointed, with a small paperback library, plenty of beach/pool toys and furnished well. Beach 5 minute walk, very good restaurant 10 minutes, small surfing beach 5 minutes. Very attractive grounds. Already made reservations for return visit next year. oh yeah. two shopping centers within 10 minute drive. Can't beat the convenience.
