Esta unidad única de Holiday Surf, # 1A, es un condominio a nivel del suelo espacioso y encantador. Puede alojar cómodamente hasta 6 personas con una cama queen size en el dormitorio, un sofá cama queen size y 2 otomanas con camas gemelas polivalentes en la sala de estar, así como 2 baños completos. Los pisos de baldosas se presentan en toda la unidad.

Unidad # 1A es diferente a cualquier otro condominio en el resort frente a la playa de Holiday Surf & Racquet Club. Tiene su propio patio privado cercado y tiene acceso fácil y directo a la hermosa playa de arena blanca, la piscina, las canchas de tenis y el estacionamiento sin la molestia de ascensores o escaleras. Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was not clean at check-in (we arrived after the normal check in time). The property management did not have cleaning people available. An offer was made for us move units for one night, check out of that unit the next day, and then back in to our unit that “missed the cleaning check” to allow a cleaning crew to clean the unit. There other option was “leave” — full refund, with a “good luck finding another place to stay” on a holiday weekend with zero availability anywhere in Destin. We made our reservations almost a full year in advance, and management was fully aware this was an unrealistic option. There were dead bugs in the cabinets at check in, dried food crusted on utensils and pots and pans in the cabinets, dried food drips all over the furniture, and on and under the glass on the table, dirty linens on the fold out beds, crumbs and food smashed into the cushions, and several live roaches in the unit. We met with a board member since no one else was available (holiday weekend). The board member brought us clean linens since there were none in the unit. We spent our first night of vacation cleaning the unit and making the beds. Property management refunded us the cleaning fee. During our stay the sliding door quit opening properly so we requested maintenance, it was never repaired. We also made multiple requests that the unit be sprayed for bugs. Management ignored all requests for maintenance. After several requests for them to spray the unit, signs were posted in the lobby that all units would have regular pest maintenance on the Monday following — days after our request, and after our check out date. Managements solution for us “ go buy Raid and we will reimburse you”. We were told repeatedly that the GM would call and speak with us— no call. Beach is beautiful- beach service was fantastic. Property is poorly maintained and managed.

To us it was worth giving up the beach view. It’s just a walk through lobby and you are at the beach. Private beach with chairs and umbrellas were great too. We would definitely stay here again.

Very cozy place with every furnishing you would need.

Very clean, except for the grill. Fully furnished. Gate code never worked, had to get buzzed in every time. Very short walk to the beach. Nice neighborhood. Not much in restaurants within short walking distance but very short drive.

Overall experience good

Loved the privacy of this place as it is separate from the main building. The patio (which was the big sell) wasn’t great. It needs a major cleaning. It rained a good portion of our trip so we pretty much avoided it anyway. The grill still had old charcoal and food and the patio furniture was dirty. It would have needed a good cleaning to use and I don’t plan to clean on vacation. There were also cigarette butts everywhere. We did love the space but probably wouldn’t book this particular unit again.

It is detached from the building and has a great private fenced patio with table & chairs, grill and sunbathing lounge chair. It is larger than the other 1 bedroom units and has a second full bath. Bed was super comfortable but is a queen(only negative about the unit). Well stocked open kitchen. Full size washer/dryer in unit was great and none of the other units we stayed in had them but the property does have a laundry room.

Did not realize we were so far from the beach. Not likely to stay in this particular unit again. My only complaint was in regards to the dishes. The kitchen needs a complete cleaning. Was very upset that all the dishes were VERY dirty. I was very surprised at this with the Covid-19 virus. Policy stated that as we left we should wash our dishes and house keeping would also rewash them. This did NOT happen. Notified the front desk but they did not seem concerned that the kitchen dishes were so gross. Hope this was given a good cleaning before anyone stays.

Plenty space and comfortable. But I wouldn’t rent that specific unit again. The porch is smack in the middle of the parking lot and is not as private as it looked in pictures. The cookware was horrible, I’d suggest the owner provide some new pots and pans. The pool was kinda lame.

We did notice the unit (1a) we stayed in was showing a few signs of wear and tear. Lots of rust in the shower bars and freezer. The ice maker only made a minimal amount of ice. Love the location though. Excited to see the ramp construction to the beach.

Grill was over flowing with old charcoal to the point I had to empty and clean it before we could cook. The patio didn't look like it had been cleaned in a month. I spent a few hours cleaning it, picking up trash around the tree and fence, scrubbing it with water because so much charcoal dust was turning our feet black. I initially went to the front desk but either no one was there or one person busy with several people. The amount I paid I expected it to be clean. Inside was clean over all but found light bulb next to couch on the floor, qtips next to the toilet.

Peaceful and private

Only suggestion is to place some functional lighting on the sidewalk going into the unit. Landscape lighting was not working and we could not see .
