Great Location

The property was nice and in a great location! We had a great vacation! My complaint would be that towels for the pool/beach were not included and you had to fight to rent a spot on the beach.

Simple easy resort getaway

Beach is steps away, nice pools and two hot tubs. Food and drinks from your beach chair service. Very family friendly environment. Great spot if youre looking for an alll inclusive place on beach. The condo is not overly homey, youll need beach towels, dish detergent and laundry detetgent

Amazing Spring Beach beach vacation with the family!

We absolutely loved this rental at Pelican Beach Resort in Destin! The location was PERFECT and just a short drive to the harbor and restaurant hot spots! The beach is pristine, crystal clear, and very well maintained. Communication between us and the rental company was incredible. They were right there to answer any questions that we had! Staying on the 3rd floor was great too, as we had the option to take the stairs and not wait for an elevator. We will definitely be back! My family had the best time!

2nd time was just as good as the first

We love Pelican Beach Resort. My wife and I are 30/31 and our two daughter 4/6 love the two bedroom condos with twin beds in the second room. The pools and hot tubs are great and the access to the beach is perfect. Everything is clean and easy. We’ll be back a third time for sure.

Beautiful!

The condo was perfectly located. We overlooked the pool and the beach. Inside was so nice...decor was cute, and comfy beds. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils and dishes you could need! So happy you had Netflix and Prime for those lazy evenings. We would definitely stay here again! All the comforts of home but in a more beautiful location!

Okay

The condo itself was okay, good location. But the condo had a mildew smell coming from I think the washer. It smacked you in the face the second you walked in, we bought febreeze to try to mask the odor but it was awful.

Nice condo! Sunrise on the balcony and nice beach view! No personal beach chairs or set ups in front of the rental chairs. I wish I would have known to book beach chairs when I booked the condo because when we got there they already had five rows of set ups booked.

Beautiful location, great views, very nice overall

The resort is top notch, no complaints. The condo was great also but could use a few updates / fixes. The dishwasher isn't fixed into the cabinets, it moves around. There are some broken shelves in the lower cabinets but overall, a very nice place. We greatly enjoyed our stay and are very appreciative that the owners have beach chairs to use.

Nice but noisy

Location of condo in the resort was loud. Right by gates that slam all of the time. Condo needs paint on doors in bathrooms - really dirty. Also living room screen won’t close. Decor was nice and the beds were comfortable. Beach is awesome! Pools are great. Had to purchase kitchen towels as there were none there. Loud in condo above us at least 1/2 of our month stay.

Great resort!

We really love staying at Pelican Beach Resort! It is definitely a large resort so lots of families but was not overcrowded. We love the beach and the tiki bar. This condo was great and very clean. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of four. We were a little crammed with our group of six but made it work. My only complaint would be that one of the dining chairs was broken and unsafe to utilize. Since we had toddlers, this was a slight issue. Other than that, we had a great vacation!

Great place

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. The only thing I didn’t like is wearing the arm Bands 24/7 and the fact that private beach signs are on each side of the property. It was very packed in the small area. The unit was nice and had everything we needed. We tried to use the dishwasher the last night and couldn’t get it to work so washed everything by hand. We did not call the property manager because wasn’t important enough. We did love Destin and loved that they didn’t have long waits at restaurants.

The place needs updated and cleaned

The location is great, but we never got the living room tv repaired, only one small table light that worked in the master, the ceiling fan in the master the light was broke wires exsposed, the ceiling fan in the other room was so noises you could not keep it on, there was so much lent in the dry behind the filter to start a fire, the smoke detectors were so yellow and old looking, went to change the garbage bag in the kitchen took out the bag that was provided laying in the bottom and it was wet and smelled of beer got all over my arm, do not know when the last time they cleaned it, there was so much dust under the coffee table, there was a q tip hanging in one of the fake plants on the end table that looks to have been there for awhile, not sure they clean, only change the sheets and towels

Very Unclean

First Impression upon walking in was condo looked like it has not been cleaned in months. Trashcan was still dirty inside, carpet had not been vacuumed in months. Very dim lighting, just did not have a welcoming feeling. Would not stay here again.

Not very relaxing

Floors were dirty and left our feet black. Room smelled of smoke upon arrival. Master bed frame was visibly broken upon arrival and unusable. Unit is close to ground floor so its an easy stair climb if you dont like elevators, however its also close to the ground level where noise continues most nights until 11-12, either fireworks or people in the parking lot or partying at the pool. Was not a good fit for our small children, we left before the scheduled departure date. Management company was however very responsive and attentive to our concerns and issues. Fixed the items they could within 1-2 days, it was just the noise of the complex that made us decide to leave early and find a different location to finish our visit to the Emerald Coast.

PERFECT LOCATION

Walking distance to the water park and surf shops! Third floor so easy access to the stairs when the elevators were crowded, but still an amazing view! **I recommend using UBER instead of driving and parking since there's so much construction on 98**

Our room was just fine, the access to the beach was frustrating.

Our room was fine. The kitchen had necessary tools and there were plenty of towels. It was nice to have a washing machine/dryer. The Pelican resort allows the umbrella/chair company to setup about 5 rows of chairs, starting at the water, and restricts guests from putting their own personal chairs close to the water. They rope off the entire beach in front of the hotel and set up their own chairs very early in the morning. I saw one guest set up her spot earlier near the water, and they made her move it when they arrived. Those of us who bring their own chairs are banished to the BACK of the beach, by the grass. Through 5 rows of chairs and umbrellas, you could barely see the water. But we could look sideways and see the waves through the next door property. However, there were 'no trespassing' signs and we were not allowed to use the neighbors' sparsely populated beaches. There were actually metal signs banning personal chairs near the water. This is not what we paid nearly $400 a night for (including all fees/taxes). Will never go to that resort again. They have figured out how to force some people to pay for overpriced chair rentals. It was a scam. All guests should be allowed to share the beach in a first come first serve fashion, even if you do not want to pay to rent chairs. We all paid for rooms and had children who wanted to see the water. They left very little room for people in the back to even walk up to the water, there were ropes on the sides of the beach to keep the Pelican people 'contained' and off neighboring beaches. Not only was the beach barely visible through all of the rental chairs, it was a chore to navigate to the water with children.

Breath taking and Quant!

Beautiful property with an amazing view of the pool and gulf with chic decor inside. Our group agreed we stayed at the nicest resort close to all of the shopping and activities we did. Our stay was nothing short of pleasant and we will return!

It needed a complete makeover! When you sat on the couchs, you were almost sitting on the floor. The woodwork was chipped and it could use a complete paint job.The washer and dryer had to be replaced because the dryer left black marks on our clothes. It took 10 days to get it replaced. Panhandle did let us use another unit to do our laundry during this time, but that was an inconvenience. The deck furniture had lots of black mold that we could not get off. They brought new deck furniture about 2 weeks before we left. The shower had black mold in it. The kitchen was I'll equiped. The toaster and coffee pot had to be replaced. It was just a bad unit and not cleaned well before we came. Several chair seats had to be screw back on and one was completely off. All in all, not a nice unit.
