Close to everything

The location was great being able to walk to restaurants, target, etc. The pools are nice and there are lots for kids to do.

Great place, nice views

First time to Destin and we had a blast from the moment we stepped into this condo! Awesome place to relax, a short walk to the beach, a Tikibar along the way, we actually let the kids go across the street to the Big Kahuna water park, they were able to walk there and back and had a blast! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience

Our family loved staying at Pelican beach resort. The place was clean, the view was beautiful and the amenities were perfect for adults and kids. We liked how we had the option each day to go to the beach or swim in the pools. The location was centrally located to other attractions. Our family hopes to go back soon.

Sorry about the seaweed. The storms brought that in. Normally the water is crystal clear. I was there last week and the water was all clear of seaweed.

Great property

Very clean and nice. Having small children I would recommend some more plastic cups and plates:) Owners very responsive. The maintenance staff responded immediately the two times we needed them for a light on patio and a tv issue. Both were resolved immediately. The Pelican Beach Resort was top notch! 3 full size pools(one is huge) and two kiddie pools which was great. The tiki hut was great for drinks and quick food when needed! Highly recommend!

Destin, FL Vacay from Houston, TX

Beautiful unit. Great beds in master and other room, beautiful bath and fabulous kitchen! The sofa bed is not acceptable to sleep on. Not even for kids...we tried. So this unit is really for 4 people unless you bring a blow up mattress which we purchased. The freezer (top) portion of the refrigerator has lost it's magnetism as it opens slightly when you shut refrigerator (bottom) portion. Things begin to thaw in freezer. The room also overlooks and is very close to the kid pool below which is quite noisy in the evening....so don't expect serenity to sit on your balcony and enjoy a drink! It's very kid friendly which is a positive...just a heads up. My kids are getting older, so a more serene environment is preferred for us. My biggest complaint is that you have no place to enjoy a view of the water from the actual beach in front of the condo. This is because the umbrella/chair rental company takes up the entire beach, from left to right and from the water back....four rows deep....even if the chairs are not rented out...they are there (blocking the view). Budget an extra $35 a day to rent one if you want a view of the water while you're laying or sitting on the beach. This is a Pelican Beach HOA rule unfortunately. Wyndham nor the owners have any power over this predicament.

Shannon, Jill and I are so sorry your stay wasn’t perfect. I would like to start by saying thank you for your review. We visit our Destin home twice a year, but sometimes things can break between our visits. Without reviews like yours we don’t know something needs to be fixed (and it will be fixed). I need to talk to our management company about the freezer seals because we noticed the same thing in October and had both the refrigerator and the freezer seals replaced (at a cost of $400). Obviously, it needs more work or replacing. We will get it fixed or replaced. Thank you for noticing that we have brand new mattresses in the two bedrooms. We feel it is important to sleep well on vacation. Unfortunately, your children didn’t sleep well on the sofa/sleeper. You are the first one to bring this to our and we will address it. Please send me the bill for the air mattress you purchased, We are more than willing to reimburse you for this. We strive to provide a perfect vacation for all of our guests. We are sorry that your time in Destin wasn’t perfect. Rusty and Jill

Very nice and clean condo.

The condo was great and very accurate with the posting/pictures. The property was nice and very clean. We went in July and it was very busy everywhere. The beach service was sold out for most of the week as well, but the beach itself was very clean and family friendly.

Spring Break 2022

This truly felt like our home away from home!Location in the building was great,being on the fourth floor you were able to take stairs and not wait for the elevator.We we’re so thankful to have brought our collapsible wagon for trips to the beach/pools!The grills,cafe,pools and beach are all right there!!We did take advice from past guests and rented our beach chairs way in advance so we got front row,which was nice to watch our younger children play in the ocean everyday!The rental had all the utensils,pans,bowls and silverware stocked fully!Just don’t forget your own laundry,dish and hand soap!Was a great place to stay at!

We enjoyed our stay and the condo. The refrigerator was froze up when we checked in and it was replaced right away. We weren’t in the room at the time and they moved all of our food over for us. We will stay in this condo again
