We found the property was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful location. The staff was more than exceptional. The little restaurant next door was an added bonus. As a family, we have all agreed that when we are in Playa - we would only stay at this property and this condo.

Beach Vacation: Perfect Stay

The beachfront vacation property exceeded all expectations. The accommodations were nothing short of fantastic. The property itself was a paradise, with breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere that created the perfect escape. The staff friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Great property

Loved being right by the pool and the beach! Layout was great for our family - kids had one room, grandpa had another and we had our own. Staff were all helpful and kind. Music from restaurant next door on one side and then another one a bit down the beach was a little loud but both stopped by midnight.

Beautiful & a place you won’t want to leave!

We loved our very nice condo & its location near the ocean, the infinity pool & fifth avenue-along with great shops, restaurants, grocery stores & authentic street tacos. We felt very safe @ loved Victor & Abdi. Communication was good, taxis close by & couldn’t have asked for a better time. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing views and neighbors

Exactly as posted - enough space for all 6 people and a wonderful deck with beach and pool views. Beginning or ending the day with coffee or a cocktail while overlooking the beach was a highlight. Condo had everything we needed and was within walking distance to restaurants/stores. The onsite staff and neighbors were very welcoming! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others!

It's hard to put into words just how amazing this property is because no matter how glowing the reviews were that we read in advance, we still weren't prepared for the incredible experience we had. The view of the beach, ocean and Cozumel off in the horizon was breathtaking. Being a block away from Quinta Avenida was very convenient as there were dozens of restaurants within a couple of blocks and even more if you venture further, which you'll definitely want to do. We walked to Walmart to buy coffee and snacks for the house, but we ate out for every meal.When we decided to do a day trip to Tulum and the cenotes, we walked a few blocks and rented a car for the day. The INTI Beach waiters come by every so often when you're lounging on the beach to take drink or food orders, so we took advantage of that as well as getting a couples massage in their outdoor loft. The security guards at the front entrance were always pleasant and Arturo was in the pool/beach area ready to assist with umbrellas, or just about anything you might need help with. We missed going to Cozumel due to the weather, but the ferry pier is an easy walk just a few blocks away.

Nice place, but...

All was really nice. Loved the Floorplan, checking in was easy, however, it sits on the side of Inti Restaurant which starts playing music early in the afternoon, throughout the day/night... making it very disappointing when you try to sit on the patio to enjoy the view/beach.

Great location and clean, beautiful unit.

This property’s location can’t be beat if you want beach access and walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in playa del Carmen. We really enjoyed the pool, the easy beach access, and exploring and finding dinner every day. Somehow I missed seeing the email with the check in instructions and Susan was easily accessible to tell me what to do. Our kids are 12,14,16 and it couldn’t have been more perfect for our family. Thanks so much!

Awesome! Great Beach and Condo! Be Ready For Late Night Beat Box from INTI Next Door!

Condo, location, beach and beach management of chairs are 5 Stars. Infinity Pool is awesome. Only complaint is place next door plays music until late at night. During the day and early night it is great! Some bedrooms hear music clearly. Master Bedroom does not hear as bad. Even with that, would highly recommend.

Perfect refuge in strange times

This property is as beautiful as the pictures suggest -- very well appointed with everything we needed for a great vacation. Communications both before and during the stay were great, and all the employees at Luna Encantada were very helpful. Because of COVID restrictions, the beach was closed during our visit, but we found plenty of other activities to keep us busy. While not all restaurants were open, there were plenty of choices, and all businesses seemed committed to maximizing safety (mandatory masks, hand and feet sanitization, temperature checks, etc). Given the circumstances, we had a much better trip than we'd expected, and we will definitely return to Luna Encantada when visiting Playa in the future.

Amazing condo, love playa!

We stayed in D1 this trip and it was amazing. Beautiful accommodations. Extraordinary view. Best unit at Luna (although they are all really nice). Has everything you need and plenty of room for extended family. We love playa and luna encantada is by far our favorite place to stay. It’s right in the middle of all the action, yet far enough that it’s quiet and relaxing. We love Susan and she has been super helpful to us as we have been coming to playa for several years. Someone is always available to answer questions. The entire staff at Luna couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. There is no where better in playa.

Highly Recommended!

Awesome condo. Great location, close to 5th Avenue for nightlife and souvenir shopping. Please note several things: 1). It's ok to rent a car and park underneath the complex. Ignore the signs that prohibit cars bisecting 5th Avenue. 2). There's a great restaurant/massage venue next door. Great food and great massages! Be aware it plays instrumental music all day and late into the night. It adds to the vibe and is very nice to listen to while relaxing on the deck, feeling the sea breeze and gazing at the lights of Cozumel across the ocean. The music can be heard inside the main bedroom so you may need earplugs if you are a light sleeper. 3). If you have never been to Cancun or Playa Del Carmen, highly recommend the Eco Parks (Xenotes, Xplor and Xcaret), and a day trip to Cozumel for snorkeling.

Beachfront, Close to the Action, Amazing Communication

This property is exactly as listed, right on the beachfront and a beautiful, three bedroom condo. Beds comfy, great showers, all the kitchen amenities needed, filtered water station. Condo is close to all of the action of 5th Avenue - we walked everywhere ; it was New Years so walked to all of the amazing restaurants all week, Coco Bongo, Wal-Mart, Gym, Mall, Ferry to Cozumel. It’s all super close and easy. In the middle of 2 beach clubs so we got drinks and food on both sides, INTI music is loud and doesn’t really quit which was fun during New Years Week but often went late into the night and you definitely hear it in the bedroom. The Only downside. Susan is an amazing owner and communicator with restaurant recommendations, responded when we were there with questions on the TV and also when we needed additional water for the filtration container. Fun times - thanks Susan!

Great family vacation

The property is ideally located right on the beach with easy access to the pool as well. The beds are very comfortable although the back bedrooms had very little natural light and one was quite small. The kitchen is well equipped but lacked basic spices, such as salt and pepper. The living area is large and our family of six could spread out and have room to work, play games or watch tv. The porch overlooking the beach was a favorite hangout for all of us from early morning until well into the night. We loved the restaurant next door, Inti, and ate many meals there. They do play music from 9:30 am until 11pm but we didn’t find it bothersome. They also provide food and drink service on the beach for the property residents which was a huge bonus. The staff at the property could not have been more friendly and helpful. Walter even helped us get a pair of shoes repaired! The condo is a quiet oasis in the middle of a very busy city. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Never Again

Although the condo and amenities themselves were really nice, our stay was ruined by the adjoining bar/club, which played loud music from 9 am to midnight every day. On New Year's Eve and New Years Day, it amped up the music so loud you could feel it through the walls of the unit - it went until 2:15 am on New Year Eve. We could not sleep in the room closest to the bar for 2 nights because of it. When we complained to the owner and asked for a credit for 1 night, she pointed to a vague disclaimer in the contract about Playa del Carmen being a busy beach town and no credit given for noise. The listing should have pointed out the bar/club issue specifically. Felt like a bait and switch. She did offer a discount on a future stay, but there is no way we'd stay there again because of the noise.

Our stay with toddlers

Great location, beautiful view from the deck. Beach is steps away and access to the pool is amazing. There was house music playing afternoons and evening, though I never really heard it inside. The staff is great and always available. Super clean. The beach in front is very busy, but not crowded and staff does a good job making sure only guests are using the beach chairs. There were always people sleeping on the beach in front at night, but I think you would find that anywhere in playa. Stayed with my 2/4 year old girls and I always felt they were safe and it was decently kid friendly. Could use more plastic dishes, and no bath tub was the only down side. The main shopping street is steps away which is very touristy, but also a lot to do and see. There was construction next door but it never bothered us as it was in the opposite side of the complex. The beach directly in front has some rocks but just a short ways to the left and right there are sloping soft sand that was good for the little ones swimming. They have a large collection of pool floaties and beach toys available for the kids which was nice. The sea grass was absent when we arrived and the cold front came in with a lot of wind and blew a lot of it to shore but the city does their best to continually clean it and it never really bothered us.

Beautiful property!! So convenient to everything!

We stayed 5 nights at Luna Encantada (D1) and loved it! The condo was beautiful, exactly as pictured, and absolutely perfect for our family.The views from our private terrace were STUNNING! We were literal steps from the pool and beach and from all the restaurants and shops. Everything was SO easy, which is HUGE when traveling with kids!! We never had trouble finding chairs by the pool or on the beach. One morning we had the pool to ourselves for hours! We ordered some drinks and dinner one night from the beach club next door and it was all delicious! Another day we had an easy walk on the beach to catch the ferry to Cozumel. We rented a car for our stay and the free on site garage was wonderful! The convenience of everything made our stay completely stress free. And everyone was so nice. While we LOVED being steps away from the everything, I did not realize we were also steps away from a public beach entrance. This was really only noticeable in the evenings when our “private” beach became quite crowded. While the location of our condo could not be beat, this was the only drawback (and it was just a small one). The only disappointment we had was the seaweed in the water. Of course that is no one’s fault, and there were clean up crews regularly working to remove the seaweed from the beach. I don’t mention this to dissuade you from booking this property, but definitely do some research on water conditions if you are wanting that clear, turquoise ocean swimming experience.

Loved our time at Luna Encantada. Such a convenient location to everything Playa has to offer. The condo is literally next door to a beach club that plays music non-stop. I knew this going in. If you were not prepared for it you may not be super pleased. It doesn’t stop. We gave ourselves up to the music and really it’s a nice vibe during the day. Feel like at night they could turn it down a few notches and it would make a huge difference. Didn’t bother us but you are not getting away from it if that’s not your thing. Loved so much having the beach club next door for dining and beach service. Food is really great and presentation is lovely. Drinks were on point. Massages at the beach club loft area are actually to die for. Our group all agrees best you can get, anywhere. Pool is nice and beach was well kept. Lina Encantada feels like its own little escape but 5th Ave is 1-2 blocks easy walk away. Rental company has many great minks for information. We had catering dropped at house on second day of arrival and groceries delivered pre arrival. Always a great way to start a trip. Condo was fairly well appointed and the patio is really perfection. Views are remarkable. Plenty of towels and appreciate the water bottle service. Beds are more firm than I have experienced in other units in same complex. That would be my one tiny negative but the rest makes up for that in spades. Love love love Luna Encantada. Already dreaming of returning.

Beautiful, convenient property. Horrible sargassum!

The condo is very nice and very convenient to the town and the beach. Unfortunately, the beach is unusable because the sargassum is piled up, rotting, and the methane and sulphide gas emitted is awful. They do try to clean it up daily, but it's a losing effort. Also, they pile up all they gathered 60 meters or so down the beach so even if they rake it up you're still smelling it constantly. The only way we were able to escape it was by taking the ferry (nearby) to Cozumel, or going to the cenotes. It's no fault of the owner, and we were there at a bad time, but unfortunately the property is at one of the worst places because of the current and tides. I wouldn't risk it again.
